Not all five star hotels are created equal. This truth was evident from the moment I stepped into the hotel. Car parking - that will be 20 euro a night. Alternatives? No idea (turned out that you can park three blocks away for less than 10 euro a night depending on departure time next day). Room upgrade - impossible - I get that this isn't always possible but the delivery by staff is all important. The room - ok - nothing to write home about (shower leaked from the top - when I mentioned as I left no one seemed to care - which just about summed up my stay). The view - from the back side of the hotel - not worth the money. The breakfast - passible. All in all would I go back? Honestly no - I'd definitely look elsewhere.

Ein kleines Luxushotel im Zentrum von allem. Komfortable Betten, Kissen, ein großes Frühstück. Es gibt auch einen bezahlten Parkplatz neben dem Hotel. ( 20 Euro pro Tag) Eins minus: Unser Zimmer hatte eine Verbindungstür zum nächsten Zimmer, Sie hören die Gespräche Ihrer Nachbarn, Dusche usw.

In diesem gediegenen Haus, das offensichtlich vor kurzem renoviert wurde (incl. hochwertiger und geschmackvoller Möbel, zumindest in der J-Suite) fühlt man sich von Anfang an wohl. Ungefragt erfolgt die Begrüßung in perfektem Deutsch ;-) Eine kleine Enttäuschung ist das für die Kategorie doch eher kleine Zimmer, das aber wie geschrieben mit hochwertigen Möbeln und einem großen Balkon mit toller Aussicht ausgestattet ist. Die Tür von Zr. 626 fällt viel zu laut und sehr schnell ins Schloss (Hallo Nachbarn) Die Schalldämmung von außen ist dürftig, ein Grund hierfür könnte sein, dass die Balkontür nicht ordentlich zu schließen ist. 2 einzelne und bequeme Betten, die zusammengeschoben wurden. Das Laken neigt zu unangenehmer Faltenbildung. Gutes (Premium)Internet. Das Frühstück ist gut, das Personal ist auf Zack und sehr freundlich. Überhaupt trägt das Personal des gesamten Hauses eben dazu bei, dass es sich um ein Wohlfühlhotel handelt. Eine Möglichkeit auf dem Zimmer Kaffee zuzubereiten habe ich vermisst.

We really liked the hotel and our stay there. The room was very nice, new and very clean, and cleaning service was great. We really liked the breakfast in the hotel, it had various savory and sweet options, different vegetables, fruits, cheeses, pastries, juices, and everything was very tasty (especially the best rice pudding and apple-filled pastries I ever had…). The coffee they serve is very delicious too. There was also a part of food offer that is adequate for Jews (kosher) which is very nice. The location of the hotel is ideal - it’s located near the city center (Aristoteles square and the city port) but in a bit more quiet area. One can have a pleasant walk to the square, along a wide street with many shops, restaurants and cafes. In between the hotel and the square there is an area with numerous traditional restaurants with really delicious food! What I would like to point out is how kind and helpful the staff is. We had a medical problem on the last day of our stay and had to go to the hospital. Katerina, at the reception desk, helped us so much and let us use the room and leave our baggage there much past the check out time, because we couldn’t be there on time for the checkout because of the whole hospital protocol. She was there for us and prolonged our stay for one more night, when we asked, just by phone. It was the help we really needed at the moment and she was very kind and understanding, that meant a lot to us. Thank you once more! Also, that day one person from the room couldn’t come to the breakfast because of the medical problem, and the lovely staff at the restaurant gave me a plastic box and told me that I can take anything I want from the buffet and bring them to the room. I would also like to mention Julia, the other lady at the reception desk, who was also very helpful and sweet, and the gentleman at the restaurant who made me an excellent coffee and was very kind and made our stay even more pleasant! Thank you for a nice stay and all the kindness! We will for sure be returning to Astoria hotel! ☺️

Die Anne ist in der Nähe von der Stadt. Aber , das Hotel braucht Restaurierung . sieht ziemlich alt, und dunkel. einige Dinge sind gebrochen etc . Ich blieb in diesem Hotel auch 2013 ... jetzt sie sieht viel älter und nicht so gut gepflegt . Auch die Musik im Frühstücksraum war zu laut und nicht angenehmen Stil für den Tag, den ich lieber etwas ruhiger. Das Frühstück war im Allgemeinen ok, vorausgesetzt, ich würde einige lokalere , ursprünglichen griechischen Käse nicht diese gewöhnlichen gepackten Käse, die nicht griechisch sind bevorzugen . Obwohl dieser Horn in der besten Umgebung ist , sehr zentral und die Arbeiter sind sehr nett es hat einen dunklen Eindruck für mich , würde ich lieber ein wenig die Farben in den Korridoren erleuchten, um den Geist aufzuheben . In der Nacht gab es auch viel Lärm von einigen ausländischen Kunden und das war ziemlich irritierend . Danke.

What a beautiful apartment: light, modern and well equipped. It has lovely views over the port and out to sea. Very well situated for exploring the city and with many good restaurants and bars in the vicinity. My only negative comment would be that there is very little space to store clothes. Despite that little quibble I would recommend it very highly.
