Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in diesem tollen Hotel! Die Anlage ist sehr schön, toller sauberer und großer Pool, viel Grün und blühende Pflanzen, alles sehr sauber, sehr freundliches und gut gelauntes Personal. Wir hatten ein gemütliches Zimmer mit einer schönen Aussicht auf den Pool. Alle sind sehr familienfreundlich und auch unsere Kinder haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Der große Pool ist super geeignet zum Schwimmen und tauchen üben, da er an vielen stellen nicht so tief ist. Das ist sehr entspannt auch für die Eltern. Trotzdem kann man darin auch super schwimmen. Es gibt genügend Liegen und Sonnenschirme und am Strand und Pool gibt es vom Hotel Badetücher für die Gäste, was wir sehr praktisch fanden. Der saubere Strand ist auch super für Familien geeignet: feiner Sand zum Burgen bauen, Wenige Steine, aber gerade genug zum sammeln und in das Wasser geht es flach hinein. Auch hier gibt es kostenlose Liegen und Sonnenschirme. Da wir Ende Mai dort waren, war es noch etwas kühl im Meer und sehr wenig los die meiste Zeit. Trotzdem war es schön und wir konnten baden. Die Anlage ist sehr ruhig gelegen aber in Fußnähe gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt und man kann auch an der Poolbar mittags eine Kleinigkeit essen. Das Essen im Hotel ist lecker und es gibt eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten so dass für jeden etwas dabei war. Vor allem das Nachspeisen Buffet ist toll und es gibt viel frisches Obst. Besonders schön fanden wir es, dass man draußen essen konnte mit einem traumhaften Meerblick und Sonnenuntergang! Wir würden auf jeden Fall empfehlen, ein Mietauto zu buchen, da es doch einiges auf der Insel zu sehen gibt und die öffentliche Anbindung schwierig ist. Wir hatten für fünf Tage ein Mietauto und das war super. Es gibt viele schöne Strände, Ausgrabungen und Olivenhaine, eine süße Hauptstadt der Insel mit Hafen und Geschäften und in den Dörfern kleine Tavernen.Tassos ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert und das Hotel absolut zu empfehlen! Alles in allem ein sehr schöner Urlaub! Der Transfer lief auch reibungslos und die Überfahrt mit der Fähre war ein Erlebnis!

I cannot give this hotel enough positives, it was absolutely fabulous. The staff are second to none. Everyone from the restaurant team to bar staff to housekeeping couldn't do enough, but special mention must go to Sophia who helps in any way she can should a query or problem arise. Thank you. The hotel is part of a sister hotel - the Alexandra Beach, which you can use the facilities of, but believe me, there is no reason why you would want to. We were on AI basis, which is more than adequate. There is only one restaurant at AE, but they offer 2 A la carte choices each night - one meat, one fish, which were lovely. If they're not to your liking there is a buffet choice but much more civilised than other buffet restaurants - no children running around or people pushing or not looking where they're going! It is on a smaller scale but the choices are fine. The desserts in particular were delicious. My only teeny, tiny grumble is that the food could have been hotter. Drinks wise, not everything is included but there are plenty on the included list and all spirits are branded - no local Greek substitutes. If you choose to pay a little extra for those not included the prices are reasonable for a hotel - €10.50 for the most expensive cocktails. We booked a private pool, which is well worth the extra. All pools seem to be in sunlight from morning till dusk and are cleaned daily. If you decide not to plunge for a private pool, the main pool is beautifully laid out with sunbeds on terracing, seating areas, pool bar with waitress service if needed. We were in room 7009, which was perfect, as all the rooms seem to be. Cleaned daily, fresh towels twice a day and the mini bar, which comes as part of the AI package, includes miniature spirits and soft drinks and is refreshed every 3 days. Quite a nice surprise as a lot of AI packages don't include the mini bar and if they do, it is only for soft drinks and water. The bathroom toiletries are Molton Brown - shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, you name it, all Molton Brown. Even the shower cap!! The hotel is situated just outside Potos which is well within walking distance - takes about 10-15 minutes. Okay to visit for a change of scenery but nothing special. We went there to watch football in one of the bars a couple of times. A nicer place to walk to is the village on the other side - Limenaria, which happens to be Sophia's home town. This is about a 50 minute walk on a path which runs parallel to the main road, so much safer. Limenaria is much more picturesque with a better choice of restaurants and bars. We went on one trip - a boat sailing around the island and the usual - swim stops, beach stops, lunch. We booked this in Potos at the quay side. Really cheap - €30 pp and it was fine. Again, something to do for a change but nothing to write home about. We booked through TUI. Flights were on time, transfer good.
