Torre Don Virgilio Country Hotel

La struttura si trova in aperta campagna fuori dai centri abitati. Accoglienza e servizio di buon livello. Gentili e premurosi per tutte le richieste. La nostra camera era una Junior suite. Onestamente mi aspettavo di meglio. Soggiorno e bagno al piano terreno e camera da letto sopra. Di notte è un problema andare in bagno o prendere qualcosa dal frigo perchè bisogna scendere le scale. Arredamento in arte povera, anche lì mi aspettavo di meglio. Per il resto tutto molto bene, piscina, bar, servizio e atmosfera. Sicuramente ritorneremo ma chiederemo una camera in un unico piano con tutti i servizi vicini.

Wat een verblijf

A lovely hotel in full countryside. We stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer as it was too far from anywhere to take a stroll and have a change of scenery so we felt a little too isolated. Even Modica felt like a longer trip than we expected when we booked the hotel. The weather was good when we were there so we were able to take advantage of the pool and poolside beds and that was very nice. Our room was on the ground floor with a small terrace and easy access to the pool. The room and bathroom were well appointed but, with only minimal natural light through a small window right at the top of the door, I felt a little closed in once the door was closed. We ate in the restaurant both evenings (because it was too far to bother going anywhere else) and the service and food was good (with the exception of the soup of the day, which was just awful). Breakfast was eaten in the courtyard terrace, which was lovely, and there was a good choice. Service from all of the staff was friendly and professional.

We spent a week here and would definitely recommend it. The hotel is excellent value. The rooms are nice although room 109 has a very small shower. Spacious pool and garden area. Located in a peaceful, rural area of Sicily. We drove to the beach every day. But the gem of this place is the restaurant. The locals flock here every evening - but don’t worry it’s not near the rooms so wouldn’t disturb you. Delicious food - try the mussel soup. The pizzas are amazing. And all served by lovely staff. A real family feel.

1This property is super. We are still enjoying our holiday here.We travel alot to Sicily and this was by far the best property we ever stayed in. The place is very well kept. Very clean, super serice, breakfast is amazing. The owner and his wife are very nice people. We enjoyed everything about this place. The pool is so refreshing. Rooms are nice and clean. Ac is very good. Restourant is delicious. Good pizza pasta and meat. Their olive oil is realy good. (In house) We will buy a bottle. Perfect stay. We will be back ! Thank you all the staff for your super service.
