We were very happy with our stay at Kings cliff hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful during our check-in and when we used the bar in the evening and the restaurant for breakfast. It's fantastically situated on the sea front and was about half an hour walk along the coast from Clacton centre. The hotel itself was very clean and tidy and generally in good condition. Overall a positive experience and a recommendation from me.

I just wanted to thank you for such a positive experience that I had at your establishment yesterday evening. (01/06/2023) I arrived with my mum, the staff at the initial reception greeted us, explained which directions to take and told us to enjoy our stay. At the spa reception the staff member was warm, informative and professional. She took our details and confirmed the package that I had purchased. Again she wished us a pleasant stay. We used the delightful facilities, I had been worried that I hadn’t booked a treatment but it was so lovely to catch up with my mum in the warm, relaxing and calm environment that has been created. We then took our time having a fabulous shower, using the products that were readily available before we headed to the bar for a drink. Again, the staff here were smart and professional. We settled down in the bar and then ambled around the corner to the restaurant. We were greeted here by a lovely blonde lady, I’m assuming the restaurant manager, who showed us to our table, lighting our lamp and again wishing us a wonderful evening. Looking at the menu, I was a little concerned that there wasn’t anything that I was ‘WOWED’ by. We both (myself and my mother) opted for the tomato and basil soup, I had the pork chop and mum had the chicken. The soup was hot on delivery and so flavourful. The bread accompaniment was absolutely delicious, I would have liked another. We tore it and dolloped large amounts of the delicious butter that came with it. I was surprised how much I enjoyed it. Our mains then arrived, my mum said that her main was delicious, she was particularly enamoured with the sauce and is hoping that my husband might be able to emulate it. My pork was absolutely delicious, succulent, well seasoned and both of us commented on the large portions we received, this was totally unexpected. For dessert, I had gelato; hazelnut, chocolate and vanilla. Very nice and quite light after my big meal. My mum commented that “this is the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve had in a very long time!” The highest compliments to the chef(s)! I must give a special mention to the waitress, she did give her name but I’m afraid I forgot what she said. She was fabulous, a bubbly personality and ensuring that everyone was happy in her section. She had to work really hard with one couple, so definitely earned her wage last night! She had dark hair, was her name Suzanne? Even when leaving the night receptionist was lovely and helpful when we handed in our locker bracelets. It was an experience that you don’t want to end. The staff could definitely teach other establishments in the area about customer service, it was so refreshing to have all staff members so confident and accommodating. Sehr schöner Ort zum Verweilen, es dauert 5 Minuten zu Fuß von der Bushaltestelle (direkt vor McDoalds) und 10 Minuten zu Fuß vom Bahnhof Ipswich, auch 10 Minuten zu Fuß in die andere Richtung zum Down Center.

Me and my partner stayed here for one night (10/05/24 - 11/05/24) and we've had a really pleasant experience. The bed is really comfortable and the room is a perfect size for those who are not in their room all day. We did have a problem with our room but reception have apologised and are going to rectify the issue with the room. The hotel is right next to the town and is around a 5 minute walk to the pier/beach. There is plenty of amenities nearby and the train station is around 8-10 minute walk away in the opposite direction from town.

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut zu finden, die Umgebung ist auch gut. Der kleine Bruder der Rezeption ist sehr enthusiastisch. Als ich das Zimmer nicht öffnete, bat er zum ersten Mal um Hilfe, um das Problem zu lösen. Das Frühstück im Hotelpaket ist selbstbedient und kann sehr gemütlich essen. Neben der Eda ist es nur fünf Minuten entfernt vom Hotel, neben dem nationalen Waldpark, die Luft ist frisch und erstaunlich.

Es war hervorragend. In der Mitte einer Wärmewelle hatten wir ein extrem cooles Zimmer, das keine Fans brauchte. Wir sind mehr als glücklich, dort einen weiteren Pauschal zu haben

Sehr chic Hotel mit gut konzipierten Zimmern und super intelligenten Badezimmern und qualitativ hochwertigen Toiletten. Erstaunliche Wahl am Frühstück und alle Lebensmittel waren gut Qualität. Personal war sehr hilfreich. Wir haben einen blauen Schild und sie fanden einen Platz für uns, als alle behinderten Räume von nicht behinderten Gästen gefüllt waren. Bequeme Lage und schöne Außenfläche am Fluss. Die gemütliche Lounge-Area unten und alle Gäste scheinen eine tolle Zeit zu haben. Wir dachten, es war auch gut wert.

I always find restaurant staff including Chloe always so ready to help with any request, Working away from home it’s so nice to find such friendliness and warmth from all staff

Großer Preis für einen tollen Platz. Unser Zimmer war spotless. Die Rezeption ist im Restaurant, so sicher zu bekommen, was Sie wollen, bevor sie um 11 Uhr schließen.

Das Hotel ist sehr sauber. Das Personal sehr freundlich und aufgestellt. Die Zimmer sind jedoch sehr sehr klein. Für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ok, mehr als 2 Nächte würde ich aber nicht hier bleiben wollen. Unser Zimmer (glaube nr. 118) hatte kein Fenster. Ausserdem war fast kein Platz für unsere Koffer. Das Hotel liegt ca. 20 Gehminuten vom Bahnhof Ipswich entfernt. Ein Taxi kostet ca. 6£. Für uns hat es jedoch gereicht. Wir waren mit dem Hotel zufrieden und würden es für einen weiteren Aufenthalt wieder buchen.
