"Große Lage im Herzen von Ironbridge. Mehrere Cafés, Pubs und Restaurants innerhalb von 5 Minuten zu Fuß. Kostenlose Parkplätze 5 Minuten entfernt in einem geschlossenen Autopark. Die Zimmer sind über einem Café auf 2 Etagen, so müssen Sie in der Lage sein, Treppen zu gehen. Der 2. Flug ist ziemlich stark, so dass wir Zimmer mit jemand anderen in unserer Party wechselten, der hätte kämpfen können. Sie können Frühstück (zusätzliche Kosten) im unteren Café buchen, oder versuchen Sie einen in der Nähe. Einige der Zimmer übersehen die Brücke. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön. Sie bieten Kuchen, Kuchen und kleine Flaschen weißer und roter Wein."

The Malthouse

"We were on a Red Letter two day break in a superior room with one dinner included.We were shown to the’Front room’ after being informed by the staff member that all the rooms at The Malthouse are considered superior. The room was quite small and the bed was only just big enough to be classed as a double size.The bathroom we discovered had a cracked glass in the window which faced the main road and although frosted was still rather revealing,no curtain or blind.The wash basin was one which would usually be found in a small household cloakroom.It had a cascade style tap which meant that most of the water landed on the floor.Trying to put water into the kettle was a feat of acrobatics with the basin being so tiny.[Please see photos}The wash basin was also partially blocked and would only drain very slowly. There wasn’t a ceiling light in the room which meant relying on the bedside lamps and one on the desk.One of the bedside lights wasn’t working at all.Both these faults were reported to reception but nothing was done.I mentioned this to a staff member on our departure so maybe the next incumbent would have more luck. We found out from another disgruntled guest that the rooms were not serviced on a daily basis unless requested.How are the guests supposed to know this?The tea and milk were replenished. A previous occupant?had broken a necklace and we kept finding beads from it scattered on the floor which must question how recently our room had been cleaned properly before our arrival. Tea making items were stowed on a very low table close to the side of the bed blocking access. Never before seen the television plug and wires coming from the ceiling. Overall our stay wasn’t anywhere near as good as we had anticipated.Everything seemed minimal but with a little effort it could have been much better. Breakfast wasn’t good.No pot of tea just a mug and we weren’t offered a refill.Toast was available but only if requested.How are guests supposed to know this if not informed by staff?Just two cereals to choose from.I ordered porridge which should come with fresh fruit and honey.I asked not to have the honey but it arrived without any fruit either. In its favour it is well situated for the bridge but I don’t think we will be hurrying back there anytime soon."

The Ironworks Aparthotel

"booked the Ironworks Aparthotel for 4 nights. I selected this venue because the rooms seemed spacious, the location was relatively close to the conference I was attending and the price seemed reasonable. The Ironworks Aparthotel team have tried to think of so many ways to put the customer first and anticipate their needs. Firstly, the reservation process was simple and straightforward. I did not have to pay for the room straight away and I received a reminder that payment was due close to specified time indicated in during the reservation process. I received my check-in details the day before arrival. This process was easy also consisting of a key code for the main entrance and a numbered lockbox for my room. The room (5) I was given was very well appointed as shown in the pictures. The rooms appear to be as indicated by the photographs on the website. It consisted of a kitchen (complete with dishes, cups, glasses, refrigerator, small hob, air fryer, soaps, dishcloths, etc); everything needed to make yourself breakfast in the morning or a meal in the evening. The only downside is that this particular room did not really have a comfortable place to sit and eat the meal (it looks like other rooms are larger and have a designated space for that). The room was very nicely decorated with calming grey, green, blue colours throughout. The furniture looked new with lots of cupboard and storage throughout. The shower was clean and nice. Whilst the shower pressure was good enough, the temperature was hot and you didn’t have to wait long. So it came as complete surprise to me that the bed was so awful. The foot of the mattress was higher than the head (I wish I had taken a photo), and when I sat down, I just sank. The bed was very soft and unsupportive. The pillows on the other hand were great - thick and comfortable. But sadly, 3 nights on poor mattress was all I could take. When I expressed direct feedback to the Aparthotel team after I left, this was the response I got back (within a couple of hours)… “I do wish you had let me know, we really are here to help and do care and prepared to put things right, whatever it is. We always would greatly appreciate the opportunity to put it right. I have a local mattress supplier who could have delivered a king mattress the same day and we would have had the bed remade the very same day. This will now happen on Monday and no one will stay in that room until it’s been replaced. It’s a small business that we’re truly very proud of and we’re genuinely pleased that you’ve let us know.” Having read this, I regret not reaching out to them to see if they have could fixed the problem. They are there to help and based on this response, I would recommend this place and encourage anyone who stays here to call them if you have any issues at all. They really want to make your stay as comfortable as possible. In fact I plan on booking again should I be in this area. They have done a really good job."
