Don’t go here. We booked for a bungalow from the 25th-28th may since April; when we were alteady in Bali, 4 days before our departure to g land, the owner told us there would be no boat on the 25th and we had to change it to the 24th. Had to cancel bookings etc. As an apologize he offered an upgrade for a lux room, without additional costs, for the whole stay. When we got there the staff didn’t know about it and said they were fully booked and we would get the room we paid for. Tried talking to Matt, showed him the message with the promise of an upgrade, he would just repeat our booking was for a bungalow and we got what we had booked and that was it. The room is average, very basic, needing several repairs. The staff is friendly but weren’t very helpful; I don’t surf and was promised they could arrange Mount Ijen tours, but they never knew about infos and I ended up not doing it. Even for surfers, it was promised boat transfer to surf spots everyday, but it was a very limited service and they ended up getting into the waves by themselves. No photos were taken as well. Food was ok, but they were out of MANY items, everyday. One day there was no coffee or eggs for breakfast! The fruit was limited, no variety, during our 2 last days there was only papaya. They have a beachfront deck that is abandoned, with only 2 old chairs; the bathroom right next to it does not work Absolutely don’t come here. Next to it there is a place called joyos surfcamp, much more organized from what I hear.
