The Horn of Plenty

Just had our wedding here and it was absolutely amazing, the rooms, the views and most importantly the staff. Thank you all so much for making our special day magical. Phil&Mandy

We visited for lunch. It was a limited menu but the food was delicious. Can recommend the venison. Very comfortable, beautiful white linen, nice cutlery, worth the cost. Thank you all.

This Hotel has everything to make your wedding a truly memorable experience. The professionalism of the team is tops. There is not enough room to write how wonderful everything is that they have to offer. If you are thinking of a country hotel for getting married this is the place to visit. Sarah the Manager and Hannah the Wedding Planner we thank you for not just looking after us but all our guests. Who are now planning on coming back to stay again. Pete & Gina Kenvin

My wife and I spent 2 nights in a cosy room in the coach house at the back of the hotel. The room was small, not a problem it was the cracks in the walls and plaster coming free from the wall behind the curtain that wasn’t very pleasant. Balcony chairs rusty and unkempt area. I ordered a Devon breakfast very nice, except they didn’t bring my poached egg, by the time it came I had almost finished my breakfast. We ordered toast and 3 triangle pieces were placed on the table, very strange for two people. There was no side plate for my wife also she asked for smoked Salmon only to be told 15 minutes later we’ve sold out. Therefore she had a couple of pieces of bacon and beans instead. The evening meal was very nice and a good selection of cheeses. It was a bit disappointing as this was a part of our honey moon celebrations.

Booked in for a two night break food for a birthday treat. Room great. Breakfast good but the dinner! Ordered the sole and shrimps. The dish arrived after 45 minutes. The fish was already overcooked and the string fries in a mousse were already cold. Replacement fries and the now twice cooked sole tasted of nothing. The useless waiter who happened to be the duty manager offered no apology. Avoid eating here. It’s such a shame as other elements of our stay were perfect. But the food is pretentious and overpriced .!

If you’re relying on WiFi or a stable internet connection then DO NOT stay here. Honestly it’s so bad. We were here on business and require internet signal to do our job effectively. There is zero WiFi in the rooms and I mean nothing. No connection to 4G / 5G as so remote. You are literally cut off from the outside world. False advertising, wouldn’t have stayed here if known that. Poor woman on reception has no authority to do anything about it either. Wasn’t able to contact the owner who appears to be invisible. Even the woman on reception agreed how bad it was. Avoid at all costs. At least 3 people checking out before us were complaining too, one gent food poisoning from the night before. AVOID AVOID AVOID

We had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel the staff were fantastic special mention for Sarah the general manager made us all feel so welcome the views and facilities were amazing

Beautiful view. Delicious food. Wait for food isn't long. Great vegetarian options! Attentive service.
