From the very first inquiry with Sheung, I knew we were in for something special. Her genuine care and thoughtful approach made our family group booking of ten feel like a treasured occasion rather than just another vacation. The journey to Coconut Beach on the Yasawa Flyer, especially in the Captain’s Lounge with a Fiji Gold in hand, overlooking the most perfect turquoise waters, set the perfect tone for our adventure. But nothing could prepare us for the incredible welcome we received upon arrival—songs that filled the air and smiles that radiated warmth, wrapping us in a sense of belonging. The beauty of the resort was matched only by the immaculate rooms and the extraordinary food. Our first dinner—a tender lamb shank with creamy mash—left us in awe. Each meal felt like a celebration, a reflection of the care that went into every detail. We quickly fell in love with Coconut Beach, not just for its breathtaking surroundings but for the deep connections we formed with the staff. From the youngest at 8 to the eldest at 78, everyone was embraced with kindness. A particularly magical moment was my daughter Claire’s birthday, when she was serenaded with a special song that illuminated her face and the hearts of everyone around. It was a moment of pure joy that will forever be etched in our memories. Alex, the owner, along with his wonderful wife, radiated a warmth that made us feel right at home. They, along with Vata, Api, Josh, Joe, Ben, Sulu, Kara, Mili, Mela, Faustina, Michael, Abo, Marcey, Margaret, Matthew, Rebecca, Phillip and staff, (special mention to Dua the pup), were not just caretakers; they became part of our family. As we left Coconut Beach, tears flowed freely, not just from the joy of our experiences but from the bittersweet ache of parting. We miss our Coconut Beach family and the sense of belonging they instilled in us. If you’re searching for a slice of paradise filled with love, connection, and unforgettable moments, look no further than Coconut Beach Resort. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a heartfelt escape.

Dear Coconut Beach Resort crew, Thank you for the hospitality you have extended to me and Jason. We had a lovely experience. All of you made our stay special from the time we were transferred from the Yasawa Flyer to the resort and back to the Yasawa Flyer. To Matthew, Mike, Ben, and others whom I missed, thank you. The food was very delicious, thank you chefs and bakers (Jiu, Eliki, Raloga, Sireli and Rebecca). You made us try dishes from parts of the world. Dishes that my husband and I would probably have not ordered if we were on our own. The servers were very attentive to all our needs from breakfast to dinner. Thank you Beta, Kara, Mila and Api (the only thorn among the roses). The serenaders during mealtimes were very special as well. We may not know all your names, but we will remember your faces as you sang during breakfast. You have absolutely beautiful voices. Of course, the men who sang and play musical instruments for dinner, your musical talents did not go unnoticed (Josh, Abbo, Joe) The massages were very relaxing, thank you Mela and Amelia. To the crew who cleaned our room regularly, thank you Kara, Masilina . The classes were very informative. I took the basket weaving and although I came in a tad late from a massage, Ben patiently taught me in order to catch up with the group. My purse did not come out as usable as I would like it to be. However, when I asked Ben to teach me to make a fan, he happily said “yes.” The coconut class with Matthew was a very good refresher for myself. Growing up, my mom taught me and my siblings how to grind manually (using exactly the same grinder you had in class) so we can help her prepare dishes that called for coconut milk. Abbo’s climbing of the tree reminded me of how much hard work and skill it used to take in harvesting coconut. The bracelet making was a very productive way to pass time. It requires focus and good coordination. It took me a while to do it correctly. Thank you to Ben, Matthew, Abbo, Mike and Vata… for sharing what you know. The excursions were fun and the guides really looked after us - most specially during the hike when Jason and I got tired. Abbo, many thanks to you. You are a good man and we were able to know you more not just as a guide, but as a new friend by learning something about your life. To Phillip and Terry who gives us a run down each night the happenings for the following day, you are both marvelous in the work that you do. Lastly, to Sheung. Thank you may not be enough so VINAKA may express how thankful Jason and I are that we ended up exchanging emails with you. I have researched for many months about where to go in Fiji and as soon as I booked, you were there to answer all my queries, including addressing all my concerns when we almost cancelled due to Jason’s medical emergencies. You brought peace of mind in midst of a lot of uncertainty. We may not have learned all your names, but your smiling friendly faces will be remembered fondly as w

What an absolute magnificent resort on a beautiful island. I am so happy I chose to stay here for my first time in Fiji. I came with my boyfriend and we had such a wonderful experience and hope to come back. The resort staff were so friendly and accommodating and their music and songs led me to tears a few times. I felt so welcomed here. The food that was served tasted very fresh and flavorful. There were so many dishes that made my eyes pop! There was a spinach and coconut cream side that I was obsessed with. I can’t forget the village and school visit which is a MUST if you stay here. Anyway the beaches surrounding the resort were secluded and serene. The water was a crystal teal blue and you could see fish swimming at times, even without snorkeling gear. My only recommendation on getting to the resort is if you use the Yasawa Flyer, upgrade to the captains lounge as it has air conditioning and wifi and will make the boat travel more pleasant in warmer months.

I am a bit tardy in writing this review, but we had a fabulous time at Coconut Beach resort. From the minute we arrived, all the staff seemed to know your name and remember it. I had some food allergies and they were always on top of that, offering me a substitute. The bures were roomy with ventilation on all sides so you could enjoy the night breeze, or close them all up if you wanted. I loved the bathroom, also very large, outside, but the sink and toilet area had a roof to protect it from any rain. It was lovely to take a shower with the palm trees and sky above you. There is a combination of free and fee based activities. It was hard to choose as I wanted to do it all. You can snorkel right off the resort at their reserve, but have other spots close by to snorkel. The staff sang at most meals, and when anyone arrived or departed. The resort only has 11 bures, so it was fun to get to know the other guests. There were so many cultural activities that really gave you the flavor of the Fijian culture. (Saturday evening performance, kava ceremony, visiting a village and school.) We enjoyed the cave excursion. (If you do that one, take some cash to buy handicrafts. They had a great variety and very reasonable prices there.) I was so busy doing other stuff I never had a chance to take out the kayaks or paddle boards. The food was plentiful and a variety. (My favorite was the Fijian fish ceviche called Kokoda, could have eaten that every day.) There weren't a lot of salads, but being 4 hours away from the mainland by ferry probably has something to do with it. The staff is quite willing to alter something for your tastes, if you only ask. They also recognized birthdays and anniversaries with a cake and a serenade by the staff. The only downside to the resort is the wind, as others have mentioned. (But it makes for great sleeping temperatures.) We had a couple very windy days where you would not have wanted to lounge by the front of the resort, but they would move some of the lounge chairs to another side of the beach out of the wind. They also arranged to take a boat to a more sheltered reef on a windy day for people that wanted it. It was supposed to be rainy season, but we only had a light sprinkle for a very short time on one day. Also, Sheung, the manager or owner, was super responsive before our trip answering every question, and arranging all our transportation. We opted for a helicopter transport one way, as the timing of our flights didn't work with the ferry. It was a bit more expensive, but worked out really well and was a cool way to see the islands from above. We took the ferry back, and enjoyed seeing other islands. The resort was great, but the staff is exceptional, and we will cherish our memories from Coconut beach forever.

The island of #tawava is probably the embodiment of the perfection in the Yasawa Islands group. And you will feel that from your first step here. I know that preparing a holiday comes with many questions, but allow me to make this easy for you, go for Coconut Beach resort and you will never regret it! Located at the intersection of 4 islands, I expected the inter-insular water to be special and full of life as in a lagoon. It is actually many times above expectations and on a huge scale, as you can see in the pictures. The beach stretches on the entire southeast and south parts of the island and is kilometric, populated by endless coconuts, some of them gently touching the water. The sand is fine as flour and water full of multicolored corals. Beyond the palm trees, there is a huge garden, beautifully decorated and very welcoming, part of the Coconut Beach Resort Fiji resort. We did a long tour of all islands in the Yasawas, and this is easily one of the best places, probably the most relaxing experience in Fiji. Hugs and greetings to the wonderful people there, starting with Sheung, Mike, Fosteen, Filip, Beta, Mr. Sulu, Api, Matthew, Mili and of course the unforgettable Watta. Take care of you guys, I wish you the best, and hope we will meet again someday. Thank you for everything! Now the technical details for those that are interested: they run a limited number of bungalows that make the entire resort very pleasant. Everything is built in a beautiful tropical garden. The bungalows are spacious with open air showers and high quality bathroom products that smell divine. The central piece is a large open=space hall, with an ancient tree at one of the ends and facing the sea at the other. There you will have the meals and a 5 o'clock coffee with delicious pastry. Everything is delicious and during dinners there is live music from very talented singers! It was soooo good. The food is amazing and it shows the amount of care in making the guests feel just perfect. Every evening they announce the activities planned for the next day. They even helped us preparing a village trip and it was a very good experience for us as we had the chance to visit one of their remote villages. There is a diving center handled by Mike and Fosteen . They were the best instructors! I already had some scuba experience, but the way they did it here was very professional . All technical details were covered and thanks to them I had a very good control over the equipment while in water and plenty of air for a very long dive. When we left they sang the farewell song. A piece of us is still there.
