A beaming smile upon arrival at the Blaumar's reception after a long flight delay and a greeting with the words, ”Why don't you go to dinner first? We'll take care of everything else later.” We also received a warm welcome in the stylish buffet restaurant and were finally able to relax. To start with, the entire staff in the dining area was always very friendly and helpful. The staff there seem to enjoy their work and get along well with each other, which has a positive effect on the a**osphere in the restaurant. We continued with a very professional and quick check-in and in no time at all we found ourselves in the booked rooftop apar**ent with a breathtaking view, fantastic beds, tasteful furnishings and as a crowning glory a wellness shower with a view of the sea and the mountains through a panoramic window. The spacious apar**ent is framed by a huge, furnished terrace that juts around the corner, further magnifying the view. Anyone who doesn't feel at home here can't be helped. The entire hotel is very imaginatively designed and absolutely clean. In all areas, one encounters dedicated and attentive staff. The location of the hotel could hardly be better, directly on the beach promenade. The food is wide-ranging, so that there is something for every taste. Every evening there is a changing theme buffet and also in the morning there are variations in the selection of dishes. In the kitchen of the Blaumar, dietary habits and intolerances are catered for and I had several opportunities to convince myself of the excellent cooking skills of the chef! We like to think back to our time at Blaumar and will definitely come back here again! Ein strahlendes Lächeln bei der Ankunft an der Rezeption des Blaumar nach stundenlanger Flugverspätung und eine Begrüßung mit den Worten: „Gehen Sie doch erst einmal zum Abendessen. Alles andere regeln wir dann später.“ Im stylischen Buffetrestaurant wurden wir ebenfalls herzlich empfangen und konnten endlich entspannen. Schon einmal vorweg, das gesamte Personal im Essensbereich war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Mitarbeiter dort scheinen Freude an ihrer Arbeit zu haben und sich untereinander gut zu verstehen, was sich positiv auf die A**osphäre im Restaurant auswirkt. Weiter ging es mit einem sehr professionellen und schnellen Check-In und in nullkomma nichts befanden wir uns im gebuchten Dachapar**ent mit atemberaubender Aussicht, fantastischen Betten, geschmackvoller Einrichtung und als Krönung einer Wellnessdusche mit Blick auf das Meer und die Berge durch ein riesiges Panoramafenster. Umrahmt wird das großzügige Apar**ent von einer riesigen, möblierten Terrasse, die um die Ecke ragt und damit den Ausblick noch vergrößert. Wer sich hier nicht wohlfühlt, dem ist nicht zu helfen. Das gesamte Hotel ist sehr fantasievoll gestaltet und absolut sauber. In allen Bereichen trifft man auf engagiertes und aufmerksames Personal. Auch die Lage des Hotels könnte kaum besser sein, direkt an der Strandpromen

This was a tough one between 3 and 4 in review, the hotel itself is great rooms cleaned daily, no fighting for sunbeds ( more due to time of year) but you could easily get sunbed at 11 am. The pool bar was great, food from snack bar was good, example €3.75 for chips, 12” pizza €9.95 and beer €3.70, staff were excellent and always friendly, we lost water one night in hotel room, was off for around 18 hours so no showers for a while, gave us a 1.5l bottle of water lol, but don’t think this was hotels fault. The two sort of let downs for us were 1st the restaurant food, breakfast typical Spanish with their usual version of English breakie, no issues there, but the evening meal was very hit and miss, there was loads on offer but alit did not seem to go, one night they did potatoes, scrambled eggs and eels all mixed together, they also did potatoes waffles with ham and cheese on topped off with a fried egg, I thought that was quiet nice, wife not so lol. Anyway there was a lack of children’s selection, not an issue for us but only chicken nuggets on a few times but always chips, might be an issue if you’ve fuzzy eaters with you. They still had a great salad bar with the typical selection on meats and cheeses, and I thought the deserts were excellent too, although one did look like a bush tucker trail, the chef really thinks outside the box lol. 2nd issue was the location of hotel, it’s a 10 to 15 min stroll to nearest shops, and bars, so for us not ideal, but may suit others, about the same distance to Port Ventura theme park, it will cost you about €10 for a taxi to seafront if they easier. Oh aircon in room not the best either, it never really cold, sometimes you want this when it’s been so hot outside, entertainment on a night was ok too, we would some times watch it from our balcony, kids disco every night too. So for us would we use again, I would say no, but mainly due to location of hotel, not because of hotel itself because it is a beautiful hotel

We were a bit aprehensive about holidaying here after reading all the mixed reviews. It was a last minute deal at this 3* Hotel. It's 20 minutes from the airport and that was on a coach transfer. The welcome from the Reception Staff was very warm and efficient. The lifts were both working whilst we were there but they were both a bit slow in arriving. We were only on the 3rd floor so we did walk up and down most days. The room had 2 double beds and was very clean. The room was cleaned everyday and we were given fresh towels. The meals were of a good standard and there was always a large variety to choose from. We did hear people complain about the food,but really couldn't understand why as we never found anything wrong. At breakfast the chef was on hand to make omlettes and cook fresh eggs. There were cereals,fruit juice,full cooked breakfast, cheeses, meats,breads,croissants etc. At lunchtime they would cook burgers,steak or sausage and of an evening they would cook steak and chicken. There was always a pasta dish, chips, salad, fresh cooked baguettes and a selection of cooked meats. (See photos) The pool was absolutely freezing but perhaps that was just due to it being October. The entertainment staff were coming to the end of their season but still did a great job. Simon was really friendly and took time out during the day to sit and chat with people. The Jet 2 Rep Phillip was brilliant and very knowledgeable on the area. He gave us plenty of tips even though we didn't book any trips with him. The bar staff were brilliant. Juan was so friendly and went out of his way to help people who wanted to improve their Spanish. He made such an effort with his Fancy Dress costumes all week as they were celebrating Halloween. If you like wine the ones they serve are of a good quality . The rooftop bar was closed due to it being so.late in the eason,but both the jacuzzis were on and the sunbeds,chairs and tables were out for use. The views from the rooftop terrace are beautiful. The terrace itself looked like it had recently been updated . I liked the fact that the pool area didn't open until 10am as that stopped people putting towels on the sunbeds then going out for the day. There were plenty of sunbeds out and several more stacked at the side if needed. We never struggled to get a sunbed in the sun. The temperatures were up to 27° some days and that was mid October. There are a couple of beaches within walking distance and the main town is a 10 minute walk which you can do along the shore line walkway. We wouldn't hesitate to return and would describe the hotel as being top end of its 3 stars.

Das Hotel liegt zwischen Taragon und Salo, sehr nahe dem Abenteuerpark im Haupthafen und dem Ferrari-Themapark, und fahren fünf Minuten. Es gibt eine schöne Umgebung und einen komfortabelen Schlaf. Unterhalb von vielen Spezialrestaurants.

Am Montag, den 7. März, waren wir in diesem Hotel mit meiner Familie untergebracht und hatten einen Einfluss auf das Bad, weil es völlig gebunden war, mit allem, was das mit Kindern verbunden hat. Mit dem Verschlimmern, dass es fast früh war (7 Uhr morgens) , die 2 Mitarbeiter, die uns betreut haben, haben es in 10 Minuten magistral gelöst. Die Empfangsmaster gab uns schnell eine Karte des angrenzenden Zimmers, die leer war, wenn wir ins Bad eintreten müssten, am Ende war es nicht notwendig, sie zu benutzen, aber da ist die Details. Und die Reinigungsperson in 5 Minuten hat den Anschlag gelöst. Vielen Dank für die Hilfe, die diese Menschen, die am Montag, den 7. März um 7 Uhr morgens war, so dass der Direktor weiß, wer sie waren und ihnen unsere Dankbarkeit übermitteln.

Hotel was in a great location, close to the beach, train station and lots of cafes/shops / restaurants. Everything was walkable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - eventhough we speak very limited spanish. Pastries and bottled water were provided each morning and there were tea and coffee facilities in the lobby. The hotel air conditioning was really strong, we never felt too hot overnight and the room was very clean and well presented!

This is quite an innovative place, or at least it seems that way to me. The host, Xavi is a very good multi linguistic chappy and has created this place almost by himself. The rooms are super clean as is the entire building. There is a communal table and chairs downstairs and you can keep your food in a communal fridge, just mark it with your room number. It’s quite central, easy to get to and from anywhere from here in this busking and vibrant micro-city from here. Highly recommended, great value for money. Very deserving of its rating as 3rd best hotel in Tarragona.

Wir waren sehr angetan von diesem wundervoll gestalteten Hotel (dickes Kompliment an den Interior Designer!) in Tarragona. Auch die Küche hat beim abendlichen Menü hervorragende Arbeit geleistet. Das Frühstück war ebenfalls hervorragend, zum Glück durften wir uns selbst bedienen und mussten nicht ewig warten, bis uns jemand die Speisen auftat. Ich habe nur eine Anregung für die Hoteldirektorin: gehen Sie doch einmal durch ihr wunderbares Hotel mit den Augen eines Gastes. Und schauen Sie nach den Details. Sie werden eine Menge finden, was zu verbessern ist. Was bei einem neuen Hotel ja nicht unüblich ist. Gehen Sie zum Beispiel in die Toiletten am Pool. Warum haben die kein Schloss an der Tür? Warum gibt es nicht in jeder Kabine - gerade zu Corona Zeiten wichtig - Handseife? Warum riecht es vielerorts im Hotel nach Kanalisation? Warum müssen zwei arme, überlastete Servicekräfte beim Dinner so viele Gäste bedienen, warum kann man da nicht mehr Personal einstellen? Wir wollten Wein zum Lamm haben, unsere Gläser Wein kamen .... rechtzeitig zum Dessert. Warum läuft zum stilvollen Dinner schreckliche Discomusik über die krächzenden Boxen und nicht etwas Jazz oder ähnlich entspannende Musik? Warum gibt es im Bad auf dem Zimmer keine Ablage für das Shampoo? Sie werden sehen, mit aufmerksamen Augen werden Sie eine Menge an Verbesserungen finden - und das Beste: das alles kostet auch nicht viel - wird Ihr Haus dann aber gewiss zur Nr. 1 bei den Hotels in Tarragona bei Tripadvisor machen!

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und bemüht. Es ist alles sauber bis auf…. Doch der Rest ist kein Vergleich zu unserem Besuch von 2019. Wir hatten, wie auch 2019, das Jacuzzi auf dem Dach gebucht. Es war toll. Der Blick aufs Meer. Das ganze drumherum. Doch diesmal eine einzige Enttäuschung. Das Wasser reichte trotz zwei Personen nicht an die Brust. Und die Wassertemperatur war weit von einer Wohlfühltemperatur entfernt. Das Jacuzzi selbst ist ”abgerockt”. Es hat in der ganzen Zeit wohl keinerlei Pflege erfahren und sieht dementsprechend aus. Außerdem ist jetzt die Sicht auf das Meer mit einer blauen Plane versperrt. Da half dann auch nicht mehr die Flasche Cava nicht mehr, um es sich schön zu reden. Das Bad unseres Zimmers ist leider auch nicht besser. Dass nicht alle Lampen leuchten ist zu verschmerzen. Doch dass von der Toilettenspühlung nur die Taste für das Wassersparen funktioniert schon weniger. Zumal die defekte Taste einem sofort ins Auge springt.  Doch der Tiefpunkt ist die Dusche! Die Lüftung kommt bei ausgiebigen Duschen gegen die Luftfeuchtigkeit nicht gegenan. Daher hat der Schimmel leichtes Spiel. Der Duschkopf ist recht schwarz. Der Duschschlauch an seiner tiefsten Stelle ebenso. Die Fugen sind schwarz gesprenkelt. Der Einstieg in die Duschkabine ”verwarzt”und gammelig. Und beim Abfluss der Duschtasse bewegt sich diese. Beim ersten Betreten erschreckt man sich, weil man glaubt der Boden gibt nach. Hygienisch und Sauber sieht anders aus. Im Zimmer selbst gibt es einen Schaden an einem Balken. Dieser wurde ausgebessert. Aber nicht gestrichen. Daher schön sichtbar, da nicht klein. Von unserem Zimmer kann ich nicht auf den Zustand vom Rest schließen. Doch wenn ich das Jacuzzi mit einbeziehe habe ich das Gefühl, dass das Hotel, aus welchen Gründen auch immer, heruntergefahren wird. Ich spreche nicht von einem Hotel mit einem oder zwei Sternen, sondern von einem mit vier. Und das sind für mich keine vier Sterne.. mehr.

Das Hotel braucht dringende Reformen. Nicht alles ist gut. Frühstücksbuffet mit sehr niedrigen Qualitätsprodukten. Schreckliche Saft, Kaffee und warme. Gute Lage. Gute Aufmerksamkeit auf der Rezeption. Während des Frühstücks, allgemeine Personalausweichung. Zimmer mit sehr alten Möbeln.
