Cliveden House is an amazing hotel and also has incredible grounds. The service is impeccable in all areas of the hotel. The food was excellent and service great. The bedrooms are excellent with beautiful views. See the photos. Book in advance!

Wonderful to experience a stay on this historic estate with so much history - much of it still in situ. Incredible house and spa with excellent and friendly service. Naturally this comes at a price and still more charges on the bill at check out but we did not regret it. Good breakfast spread although we did not feel that the quality and presentation of the hot dishes was up to the same high standards. Similarly our dinner in the restaurant - amazing setting, wines and service but we felt that the quality of the cooking food / whilst nothing bad - did not really justify the high prices charged on the A La carte menu hence this 4 not 5 star review. Otherwise a very special stay.

This was a trip to treat myself to a belated Leap Year birthday, and it was perfect in every way. I loved how attentive the staff were, the gorgeous room and warm welcome, and the lovely grounds. I felt special and looked after, and I loved walking the grounds which were immaculately kept. What a special place.

Had the most wonderful stay at Cliveden. Visited alone for a bit of rest and relaxation - as I’m a busy mum of four! The whole team were so welcoming. From the moment you hand your car keys over to the valet until you depart you are treated with respect and smiles. The actual House is full of beautiful portraits and hidden corners with antiques dotted around. I visited the spa daily and had a wonderful massage from Imogen. I very much enjoyed sitting in the hot tubs outside with the wind howling at the same time! The front desk staff were helpful and showed me on a map how to take a 2 hour invigorating walk around the Estate. I stayed at the Chinese room, which was definitely different to my usual style hotel rooms. Lots of small touches in the room showed someone had made the effort to think what someone may require for the duration of their stay. I look forward to returning!!

Lovely one night stay. Check in was very smooth. The room was not ready so we headed over to the spa and later had a call and email saying the room was ready. Our bags were already in the room. The spa with outside pool was lovely and we were lucky with the weather to sit outside. Dinner in the dining room was lovely, great table overlooking the gardens. Breakfast was the same with a good choice. This was everything we wanted for one night chill and we will definitely be back for a longer stay.

We enjoyed the afternoon tea, given to us as a gift. Delicious savoury and sweet food, all nicely presented. Each item looked quite small, but actually really filled us up, especially the scones at the end. We had a table overlooking the terrace and grounds which was lovely, and the whole ambiance of the decor and setting was perfect. Staff were great - exceptionally attentive, polite and respectful without being intrusive. It was all very elegant and we were made to feel very welcome.

Nora was absolutely FANTASTIC. After years of reading about Nancy Astor and reading so much about Cliveden, seeing pictures, hearing stories...I finally had the chance to come all the way from America to see the beautiful place itself. Nora was beyond kind, knowledgeable, and helpful -- she went out of her way to make this experience even more memorable for me, and I am so very grateful as well to all the wonderful, wonderful staff and volunteers at Cliveden! If you are anywhere near visiting, I cannot recommend it highly enough. I can hardly imagine a more beautiful hotel, or "house" -- as grand and impressive as it is, they make you feel just at home...as if you were stepping back in history as one of the Astors' distinguished guests! Cannot wait to come back the next time. Thank you again, beautiful Nora, and everyone at Cliveden!

What a fantastic hotel. Perfect setting for country walks in the grounds, a swim in the historic outdoor pool or in the wonderful indoor one. Excellent spa treatments.. Our room was in the mansion house and it was perfect for us, overlooking the fountain. Our dining experiences were excellent, breakfast, dinner in both the restaurant and the Astor Grill did not disappoint. Above all though for us it was the staff that made our stay so special, we could not have asked for more. A special thank you has to go to Caroline, you helped to make our stay so special.

This is my third visit to this Grand Maison, and it has always been an extremely pleasant to stay here. Service provided here is a perfect blend of friendliness and politeness. This time we enjoyed cooling ourselves down in the beautiful pool, and can't wait to come back to this fantastic venue in summer 2025.

A true gem amongst the great British country houses. A fantastic stay . The luxury and attention to detail are second to non, and the impeccable courteous service is applaudable.. Thank you to all the associates at Cliveden who make the place not only the epitome of luxury, but also a temple for supreme culinary art, service, and attention.

A truly excellent Afternoon Tea in a wonderful setting, wonderful (friendly and professional) service and of course delicious food, tea (and champagne!). It made for a very special and memorable family celebration! Unequivocally recommend - and we will return.

What an excellent venue for a meeting! My experience at the Cliveden House was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. My reception was well managed, from check-in through my suitcase being delivered ahead of me to the room. My room was large, comfortable and well appointed. The tablet in the room available to review the information on the resort's amenities and grounds was appreciated, as I was also able to read a number of periodicals offered. The meeting facilities were excellent, providing strong WIFI connectivity, as well as beverages and snacks. The young man on staff that managed our meeting, and was also a server at our private dinner Wednesday night, was very attentive and did an extraordinary job. I apologize that I can't recall his name, but he is an asset to the staff at Cliveden House. Finally, I found the food to be delicious and well presented. One of my colleagues was displeased with a white wine selection being served, and the staff quickly addressed the situation by replacing it. Yet another great example of the Cliveden House staff moving quickly to ensure our experience there was good. Overall, I had a fantastic stay at Cliveden House, and I would recommend it to anyone planning a meeting, looking for a relaxing getaway or hosting a special event.

What a lovely 24 hours. Very last minute booking as a treat and wow it was. I enjoyed it all so very much. From check in to check out it couldn’t have been more perfect. The house and grounds are beautiful. An old school elegance and sense of tradition. The only disappointment being the weather on arrival which restricted exploring the grounds. We had a lovely dinner and very attentive service. A particular highlight was the massage with Tanja. Look forward to coming back.
