Suburban Extended Stay Hotel Tallahassee near University

Let's start with the POSITIVE: when we finally got a "decent" room, the bed and pillows were comfortable, the hot water was hot, and the A/C worked well. New carpet. The property is conveniently located to numerous eating spots within walking distance and close to a major road through town. Otherwise, this was in the bottom 5 worst stays we've experienced. !. No lobby service. Everything was through a "night" window, no matter the time of day or the weather. Trying to sign paperwork in a strong wind on the glass of the window is a TERRIBLE way to treat a Choice Motels member!!! 2. Then putting us in a room where, when we walked in, the TV was on, there looked like someone had tracked construction dust all over the carpet, the bed linen was dirty, and the "non-smoking room" REEKED of smoke odor! 3. Visit #2 to "the window": politely moved to a better room (see "Positives" above), but we used as few of the appliances as possible due to the amount of grunge on everything. (see photos) 4. No TV controller. Trip #3 to "the window", where we were politely given a controller and told we could leave it in the room. Great, right? It didn't work! We had to work the TV, high on a wall, by hand. We weren't up to making a 4th trip to ask for fresh batteries or whatever it took to get a working controller. 5. No alarm clock in the room. 6. Coffee and cups, but no coffee maker in the room, and no complimentary coffee service anywhere. 7. No breakfast of any sort offered or mentioned.
