Little English Guesthouse B&B

Booked this place for 2 non-consecutive nights on a road trip. Didn't come back on the return leg of my trip. Stayed in, I believe, the "Essex" room, which has a mini hallway going from the kitchen. First the good things: - property was nice and quiet, got a good night rest. - everything seemed decently clean, no issues. - shower was excellent in my room. - easy to reach, just minutes off the interstate. The bad: - breakfast was mediocre. Lots of open containers in the fridge, which I don't trust, so skipped that. I fired up the coffee machine and filled my travel mug before heading out. - the room is adjacent to the kitchen/breakfast area, separated by a tiny hallway. First there's a regular for, then the locked door to the room. I left for dinner, can't back and found the hallway door open, which was later explained they prefer for AC/ventilation reasons. Fair enough, but it means you can more easily be woken up if you want to sleep in. The big issue was that the door that I locked when going to eat was unlocked and still open on my return! When the property specifics were explained, the owner gave the impression I'd be left alone, but someone went into the locked room and left it opened. For this last thing I'm giving a low score and cannot recommend staying at this property.

My wife and I have stayed in many bed and breakfasts in the U.S. , Ireland, Scotland, and England. All were good and had their unique take on the business but this was by far one of the best. The room was wonderful with an extremely comfortable bed. breakfast was good and the midnight snacks were a new thing for us as we had never experienced this little bonus before. Tracey was a wonderful hostess who really went all out to ensure that her guests had a great experience during their stay. Thank you so much for making the two nights we spent a great part of our trip. It just so happens that the picture of the room on this page is the one in which we stayed. Spacious and very clean.

This is our go-to whenever we stay in Tallahassee. Tracey is simply amazing and accommodating. The location is easily accessible from the interstate and close to shopping and many food options. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the overall feel is what you think of when you think of a Bed and Breakfast. Having stayed in many B&Bs in England, I can say with a certainty that this is the closest to staying in an English Bed and Breakfast you can get without a passport or jet lag. Six stars - this is where you want to be!

When searching for a hotel for 1 night this B&B popped up here on TA. Pleased with the reviews and quick email response when I had a question we reserved the London room as I like tubs. :~) (and it was a whirlpool!) Greeted as we arrived the hostess gave us brief and perfect lay of the land. Probably our 3rd stay in a B&B over the years and this has solidified it will be my main search going forward. It was so well thought out from the room, porch/common area to breakfast. As we retired for the night it was quiet and so comfortable - Unlike hotels where there’s noise from the halls, door slamming, the neighbor’s tv, etc. Also no hidden resort and cleaning fees that are making appearances. Bravo and Cheers Tracy ! Highly recommend.

Very nice stay at Little English Guest House. Tracey was a fantastic host and maintained a very tidy and clean home. Bedroom was comfortable and clean. Light breakfast each morning with various pastries and fresh coffee and tea was nice. Tracey and her husband were very friend my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her during breakfast. Safe and convenient location next to restaurants and shopping as well as short drive to the university. Will definitely stay again!

We LOVED our stay at the Little English Cottage with Tracy our hostess. She did a super job ensuring our stay there was comfortable, and checked daily if there was anything she could do for us. Her breakfast was varied and delightful, coffee was excellent and plentiful, and rooms all both exquisite and homey. Her location is handy to everything in town, yet her lovely yard and charming home make it a real getaway. Thanks so much, Tracy... you made it feel like "our home away from home". HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
