Excellent large hotel just outside Talkeetna centre. Free shuttle bus every 30mins makes it easy to get into the centre, Very friendly staff from across the globe. Main entrance lobby and massive fireplace stunning. Large outside decking with amazing views out across the valley to Mt Denali. Rooms are standard hotel style clean and adequate , all be it a little dated. Dinner was good in the restaurant with friendly service. The gym is tiny, a converted bedroom including carpet, with a few outdated cardio stations and no mats or room to stretch. Needs a bigger room and upgrading.

The lodge is very nice. The restaurant service, I would give a 1. The breakfast is a buffet and the food is just OK. Not enough choices, to many starches. The service was horrible., it was a joke trying to get drinks, or milk for the only cereal they had, granola. Our breakfast was included, but the prices are very high if you're paying out-of-pocket, the views are to die for, full view out the back of Denali Peak. The room was very clean and well stocked, even had a refrigerator which was nice, but the bed was not comfortable at all. The property is absolutely gorgeous. While we were here, there were many flowers blooming. We also saw the first night a moose and her baby calf. I would recommend this place. I would take the shuttle into town which is not that far. The shuttle is free and grab yourself some food there. Great pizza parlor in town. Unfortunately, they do close very early. all the shops and food service places, the shuttle stops early also, so check on times.

On a recommendation we came here to have a little dinner and check out the views. We heard the food was OK but the wings and tots were delicious! Ok do we he views... I don't know if there's another her place that has views like this from the south. We were told we were very lucky with a clear day! Highly recommend coming here for views you will never forget!

This hotel is fantastic. Beautiful property. Good gift store. 2 restaurants. Nice lobby sitting area with large fireplace. If I knew it was going to be raining in September we would have gone a little earlier to see the northern lights. Everything starts closing down mid September so we would definitely go a little earlier.

We were recommended this for drinks and views and it didn’t disappoint. We never stayed but got the free shuttle bus up from Talkeetna which leaves every 30 minutes, with Jimmy who was lovely. It had rained all day but the sky’s cleared as we were drinking at the bar and the views outside were something else.

Arrived at this lovely place as part of our driving Alaska tour. Bit shocked when walked in as thought it was an old age home! Mind you we are probably the same age as most of the people there! Every available seat was taken with most people asleep and one sprawled on the sofa. They were waiting for train pick ups etc and as we were early we had to wait for our room so struggled to find a place to sit. Room was ready as soon as possible and we loved it here. Rocking chairs facing large windows. Talkeetna was a delight and great fun. Bit of a Wild West town. Hotel was comfortable with friendly staff and would highly recommend if you can avoid the cruise ship crowds.

Everything about the Lodge was wonderful. I would come back again. The view from our room was spectacular even if Denali didn’t want to show herself. But I am coming back.

The lodge is a great place to relax and recharge in a very nice atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the large lobby with the comfortable chairs, the view out the wall of windows, the fireplace and the friendly, helpful staff.

Decor, 70s/80s, I can live with that. Shampoo in room, conditioner in room, but no hand soap in room. Only 2 cups in room, one of them was gross with coffee residue. I know this place is slightly isolated, but I still expected better for $300+ a night. I won’t say “Don’t stay here,” but I would stay elsewhere next time.
