GGastnutzerCould not fault this place. We had booked a bigger room, but it was on the main street, so decided not to take the risk. A slight downgrade was organised swiftly. Room very comfortable, with a nice big bathroom. A well equipped gym where I seemed to be the only user. Breakfast passable with toast, fruits, cereal, coffee and baked goods. We extended our stay to 4 nights. The service at the front desk, room servicing, breakfast was exemplary. The room maid left me a lovely book marker as she saw my lonely planet. (btw, LP mentions a restaurant at the start of the bu xing jie; I wouldn't bother).Hotel is 1km west of Tiyuguan metro station on line 2. Line 1 yet to open. Two stations north brings you 400m from Bell Tower Street, a bu xing jie where there are heaps of great eating places. One station north of Tiyuguan, then east as far as possible gets you to the old Taiyuan train station. Buses 308 or 804 (slow trip) gets you to JinCi Si; well worth the trip even just to see a 3,000yo tree

GGastnutzerStayed in the hotel in September 2025 for four nights. Room was modern and had an open concept design. Hot water and WiFi worked well, and cleaning was done very well. Buffet had good spread of mainly Shanxi local delicacies. I must especially praise the restaurant service staff, especially 杨杨, for being so accommodating, friendly, and personable. On my first day with breakfast, 杨杨, personally explained the different food options to me and made sure all of my needs were cared for. She was exceptionally bubbly and approachable, and was not only the highlight of the hotel, but gave me one of the best services of any accommodation across the world. Regarding location, the hotel was located around 10-15 minutes by taxi from the main high-speed rail station. The only critique I would note is that the air-conditioning in the room was somewhat weak. Overall, the hotel offered good value for money and excellent service, and I am happy to stay again.

Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig, die chinesischen und westlichen Merkmale sind mit den lokalen Merkmalen von Shanxi übereinstimmen, warme Gerichte, Obst und Gemüse haben, die Kinder essen sehr glücklich. Der Chef ist sehr gut empfangen, das Zimmer ist groß und komfortabel, die Betten sind weich, das Badezimmer ist trocken und getrennt, der Wohn ist sehr entspannt. Der Service ist auch sehr gut, die Rezeption und das Gibbs sind sehr herzlich, das Hotel ist auch sehr bequem zum Chefpflanzengarten.

FFrederikWe were upgraded to an executive room, which is magnificent. However when we arrived, the door man just greeted us but not taking care of our luggages. We found that the room amenities are inadequate. There was only one small tube of liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner. These certainly are not enough for 2 persons.
The first night was excellent, the bed was turned down and the airconditioner worked perfectly.
The second night was awful. The airconditioner was turned off because the outside temperature was around 14°, but our room was hot. Upon complaining a fan was delivered but it was useless! A sleepless night and the bed wasn’t turned down either.
We won’t make a fuss if it’s not a Kempinski Hotel!

GGastnutzerWe booked at Fengqi jiuting hotel on a family trip to Taiyuan and it exceeded all our expectations. The location is super convenient, on the edge of the bustling Zhong Lou Jie area, with so many food and dining options accessible on foot. The rooms are spacious, with heated floors (a godsend in winter), and nice amenities. It’s a beautiful hotel decked out with contemporary art and was a pleasure to stay at. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made our trip that much easier. Would definitely recommend.

Es gibt viele Frühstückssorten, Teig, Reis, Brot, sollte alles geben,
Die Service-Einstellung der Rezeption ist auch sehr gut, der Schlüsselpreis ist noch höher, das Gefühl, im Allgemeinen zu bleiben ist sehr gut.

Aber diese sind alle Vorteile, nicht Eigenschaften. Das Merkmal ist der Service, obwohl das Hotel-Serviceteam sehr jung ist, ist der kleine Junge nichts von seiner Mühe, weiß, Worte sind unendlich, und ich habe den Service des Hotel-Managers von Star Hotels gefühlt.

MMufVinArI had a wonderful experience staying at the Grand Metropark Wanshi Hotel. The hotel offers great comfort at an affordable price, complete with a bathtub in the room. I playfully requested flower decorations on the bed, honeymoon-style—and to my surprise, the hotel fulfilled the request for free! My wife was ecstatic, and I was genuinely impressed by their willingness to go the extra mile.
The breakfast and lunch were delicious, with halal food options available. The hotel is in a convenient location, with easy access to various destinations. There's even a Bank of China next door, perfect for foreign currency exchange or cash withdrawals.
Across the hotel, you'll find Ming Supermarket, which offers snacks at very low prices—great for souvenirs. There are also plenty of halal food vendors, including a Muslim-run lamb skewer stall and other street snacks, so you'll never go hungry.
While the hotel staff's English skills are limited, communication was smooth using Google Translate. The front desk even taught me how to order food online using *******. A highlight of our stay was their delivery robot, which brought food from the lobby directly to our room. It was impressive and fun to experience!
I highly recommend Grand Metropark Wanshi Hotel for travelers seeking a delightful, hassle-free stay in Taiyuan. Their warm service and thoughtful amenities made our trip unforgettable.

AAnonymer BenutzerThe hotel accepts foreigners. It's just outside of Taiyuan South station, making it very convenient if you're transferring in Taiyuan overnight. The homestay is inside a compound opposite the eastern exit from the station, so you might struggle to find the exact location - but at least in my case they called and said that they would meet me at the exit, which they did. The room is basic, without air-conditioning, though it's relatively clean. The shared bathroom was not particularly clean, but I think that's more because some guests did not keep it clean. I'd say the two biggest advantages are the very low price and the location - it's great for one night, but I would probably choose something nicer for a longer stay.
