"We had a lovely stay at The Shore Hotel and couldn't fault it. The service was excellent from start to finish, and every member of staff was so friendly and welcoming - nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was delicious, and the whole hotel felt warm, cosy and beautifully looked after. You can really see the attention to detail in everything they do, which made our stay feel that little bit more special. We'd definitely recommend The Shore Hotel to anyone visiting the area and wouldn't hesitate to stay again!"

"If you wish to feel special and appreciated, this is the place to go! The gardens were beautifully maintained as was the entire property. The staff, particularly Amy and Andrea, were attentive and helpful. Amy was such a delight and we are so pleased that we met her! Chef prepared the very best dinners, and breakfasts were perfect! All the meals were delicious and exquisitely presented! We are so pleased that we selected this outstanding accommodation. And, the giraffes were an added bonus!"

"We stayed in the No 10 Guesthouse for 4 nights last week. What a find!!! Our room was spacious, comfy bed, and beautifully furnished! The continental breakfast was exactly what we needed. Everyone we met at the guesthouse were very friendly. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone considering visiting Tain. The on-street parking was a huge bonus too."

"Really recommend this gorgeous castle hotel; friendly staff and lovely rooms. Cosy sitting spaces and bar nestled in green treed gardens. The bay windows look out on the grounds with local walks along the Dornoch Firth waterway Tain village is charming too."

Springfield Guest House ★★★

"Spent a night in a lovely comfortable bed with decent breakfast in morning. Main downside was a very poor electric shower with low water pressure and erratic temperature control. Some of the other fixtures and fittings need attention as well - TV sound distorted, bathroom extractor fan doesn't work properly, bathroom mirror appeared to have a built-in light but it didn't work or wasn't connected up. This was the ground floor room at the front. Was also surprised to see in the online listing that the place has a tennis court and a billiards room, perhaps it does but I didn't see info in the room about where they were."
