Obwohl es fast 20 Kilometer von der Stadt entfernt ist, gibt es eine U-Bahnstation, wo immer es angebracht ist, und der Flughafen hat eine Opal-Buskarte, wo immer du willst. Ich wollte es noch einmal machen. Ich habe ein Zimmer über den Haushalt. Zusammenfassend, der Preis ist super hoch, das nächste Mal in Sydney.

Very convenient and walking distance to central station Sydney and Chinatown/Haymarket. Room is big but furniture and decor looks tired and worn. Fridge doesn't seem to work. Cleanliness is ok. Late at night there were police called to a room on my floor for disturbance. Lift to rooms do not require tapping so security is an issue. Despite this the convenience and working condition of the room is ideal for business travelling.

Clean hostel with friendly staff. Rooms were spacious with large lockers for each occupant and personal plugs and bed side lights in a great position. Showers/toilets on each floor and I never had to wait to use them. Downside is that you can hear the music from their basement club even on the 6th floor until late into the night. Didn’t bother me as I was only there a few nights and I managed to get enough sleep. Kitchen is WAY too small for amount of guests in the hostel. The social events put on by the hostel were a good way to meet people as a solo female traveller.

Der Service war hervorragend. Das Mädchen am Revier empfahl ein 2-Bettzimmer, als ich für mich und 2 Kinder ein Königsbettzimmer reservierte. Auch empfahl, in ein Zimmer mit Blick auf das Opera House zu steigen. Beste Wahl je. Gemütliche Aussicht. Meine Kinder lieben die Erfahrung.

Mein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war sehr angenehm. Erstens ist die Lage des Hotels sehr praktisch, nahe dem Stadtzentrum und den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten, was das Reisen sehr bequem macht. Zweitens ist der Service des Hotels sehr aufmerksam und das Personal ist herzlich und freundlich, sodass sich die Leute wie zu Hause fühlen. Die Hotelzimmer sind geräumig und komfortabel und die Betten sind weich und bequem, sodass ich jede Nacht gut schlafen kann. Darüber hinaus ist das vom Hotel angebotene Frühstück reichhaltig und abwechslungsreich und bietet eine große Auswahl an Speisen, was voll des Lobes ist. Insgesamt war ich mit meinem Aufenthalt sehr zufrieden und würde dieses Hotel ohne zu zögern anderen Reisenden empfehlen.

We stayed for two nights at the end of May. Our room was quiet & clean even if in need of a refurbish, which presumably, going by the building works going on, is in progress. The building works didn't impinge on our stay at all. Our breakfast (which was included in our room rate), was surprisingly good. The area it was served in was very clean and bright. We found all the staff to be pleasant. Being able to checkin & checkout on line made things move quicker, especially the checkout. The cost of accommodation in the city is very high so we were pleased that Song Hotel was a bit more affordable to us.

On the ambience side, the decor and modern-ish art was uplifting and fun. The room was very clean. But, we were surprised to find the room so small. In order for 2 people to get into the bed, one had to crawl over the other. The very small window sill became the nightstand. There was no room for luggage, and no luggage racks - we were told they didn’t have enough. That meant one suitcase on the floor and one on the very small plastic table. The retro-refrigerator was cool, but my traveling companion kept threatening to move it out into the hall to create some space in the room the whole time we were there. And then, the very small bathroom, the shower door doubled as the door to the bathroom. Have you ever looked into a microwave? The shower and the bathroom walls had the same dot matrix pattern as a microwave door. My companion was surprised to see while showering she could see me relaxing on the bed, and when she screamed “can you see me?” I replied “yes”. My companion now has bathroom-PTSD. Not only was the shower see through, there was a full-room-view sitting on the throne, trying to do your business. Then the realization somebody may be watching. PTSD! Our solution was to use the downstairs public bathroom for major activities. Did I mention IBS???

Ich blieb im Hotel für 2.5 Wochen während einer der arbeitsstärksten Zeiten in Sydney. Die Zimmer wurden täglich gereinigt. Das Personal ist außergewöhnlich. Der Manager auf der Pflicht ist unglaublich. Ich hatte ein paar Hiccups, wie jeder Reisende in jedem Hotel würde, aber einmal erwähnt von mir an das Personal, dass sie ohne Zweifel gingen weiter, um sicherzustellen, dass mein Aufenthalt perfekt war. Es ist nicht der glamourösste oder größte Ort oder sogar der sogekommenste Ort, aber es war perfekt für einen Solist wie ich, der nach Australien reist, um Mardi Gras und die Website zu sehen. Andere Freunde von mir liefen in zahlreiche Probleme über meine Herausforderungen in anderen großen Kette-Hotels, aber dieser kleine Ort hielt mich gelaufen und machte mich sehr glücklich. Ich würde jederzeit zurückkehren. It's location is perfect for site seeing and a overnight sleep or daytime nap. Dank all dem Personal dort, das erstaunlich war. Wiedersehen, hoffe ich noch mal!

GGuest UserI had high expectations of Capella Sydney after staying multiple times at Capella Bangkok and being treated as though I were the most important person in the hotel, just like all of the other guest who stay there are. The attention to service detail at Sydney location unfortunately failed very short to meet my expectations. The booking process on the website was glitchy and the pricing was inconsistent, sometimes showing pricing including tax sometimes not without indication and only upon receiving confirmation via email from reservations was the price confirmed, which did not match the screenshots of the reservation when I placed the booking so I had to go back and forth with reservations via phone and email to simply confirm the accurate pricing for my stay. After creating an account to log on to their booking platform although the option of modifying the booking was offered, the feature did not work on the site, so you had to cancel the booking and book a new booking if you simply wanted to extend by 1 day. This is before I even arrived at the hotel. When I did arrive, it is of course, no small feat that the restoration of this historic building was carried out with the utmost respect for the architecture, from the flooring material to the fenestration and even the internal grand stair way was brilliantly retro-fitted with current code requirements for the handrail in a historically appropriate yet contemporary solution. The hotel does not have many floors, so I encourage anyone to take the stairs to experience the beauty of the restoration work. The recognition of the strong identity of the urban location and sense of place in Sydney’s CBD offers us a promise, an encounter, as the space of the possible. I wish I could say the same about the interior design. There was a real disconnect between the intent of the architecture and that of the interior design. The decoration at best seemed vague, and so for the guest experience, how could one of have a point of view about the effect of the design? The space of the expectant “possible” relationship I was expecting from the simple activity of stepping into Farrer Place’s south entryway marked Department of Agriculture, as local stories interpreting colonial history with ancestral elements of the Eora people by Waayni artist Judy Watso unfolded, or the sense of expansive freedom through the bronze Palazzo doors on Loftus Street into the latent quiet luxury of the grand stair was lost when I was met with the contrasting designs and colours of the lift lobby vestibule axminster carpet and that of the corridor carpet to the guest rooms, able to be seen in the same frame. Although an argument can be made about eclecticism and the use of curating a collection of exceptional vintage and contemporary objects this was not the case here, it read as a mismatched bric-à-brac (to borrow a Victorian word from the building time period that's true meaning in French means ”any old way” or ”at random”). GGuest UserErstens ist dieses Hotel perfekt für Geschäftsreisende in die Business Centres von Macquarie Park gelegen. Das Hotel ist 5 Minuten von Büros, Macquarie Centre und Bahnhöfen entfernt. Absolut perfekt für meine Arbeitsreise. Es gab einige positive. Die Zimmer sind gut, komplett, was Sie von einem Geschäftshotel erwarten würden. Bett war komfortabel, es gab ein TV, das ich nie verwendet, Raum für Gepäck und hängen Sie Ihre Kleider, ein Tisch und einen Stuhl etc.. Es geht jedoch von dort hinunter. Ich werde die negativen 1 von 1: 1. Eine Hütte hatte einen sehr starken Geruch, der aus ihr kam. Geruchte wie schlechte Musy BO. Ich musste die Hütte buchstäblich in den Schrank bewegen, da ich den Geruch nicht stand. Das bedeutete jedoch, dass ich diesen gemütlichen Geruch stinken konnte, wenn ich ins Zimmer kam und aus dem Zimmer kam. 2. 1 der gelieferten Badehandtücher hatte ein großes Loch/Tee in ihm. 3. Hausaufbewahrung machte einen Fehler und gab nicht Shampoo, sondern 2 Klimaanlagen. Ganz einfach, ich rief die Rezeption an und sie sagten, ich müsse auf die Rezeption herunterkommen, um es mir selbst zu bekommen. Gut, ging hinunter und gab 1 Flasche Shampoo. Ich ging hoch und ging in die Dusche nur um zu sehen, dass der gegebene Shampoo vorgeöffnet/vorgebraucht war. Schrecklich. Nach meiner Dusche ging ich zurück und sprach mit einem anderen Empfänger, der sich entschuldigt und mir 2 Flaschen Shampoo gegeben hatte. 4. Am zweiten Tag bemerkte ich, dass die Hausaufsicht nicht in die Rezeption gekommen war, so ging ich wieder hinunter und wurde gesagt, dass wegen der COVID, sie nur nach dem dritten Tag Ihres Aufenthalts, die es für mich null und leer machte, Hausaufsicht auf. 5. Das Fitnesszentrum war angemessen, aber sie füllten die Handtücher nicht und ließen die Handtücher nicht regelmäßig rein. Am zweiten Tag hatte ich einen benutzten Handtücher auf der Seite, da der Bin voll war. Am dritten Tag war der Bin noch voll und mein früherer Handtuch noch dort in derselben Position, die ich hinterließ. Am dritten Tag, keine sauberen Handtuchs mehr. 6. Wenn sie sich so besorgt über COVID, würden sie regelmäßiger öffentliche Bereiche wie den Fitnessraum und im Halle, wo ein leeres Glas und eine Tasse für 3 ganze Tage gesetzt werden. Ich kann dieses Hotel nicht an jemandem empfehlen, da ich mich vor allem wegen der Unreinigkeit der öffentlichen Räume mit einer Epidemie beschäftige.

GGuest User4 night stay for Vivid. Chose this as an Accor member and that it was close to the Harbour. Upgraded to a Prestige Suite, Club benefits and was not disappointed. Yes the building is not new, it’s not like the shiny new hotels in town, but it’s solid and my sleeps were uninterrupted and rarely heard noise from the hall. My Suite 930 was spacious, clean, well appointed, Sofitel Bed topper and electric sockets to plug in my adapters to charge. Like other reviews no USB ports but I’m sure most sensible travellers have an adapter. The Club Sofitel access was the perfect addition. Early check-in and waited with a hot tea while my suite was made up. It was 9:30am but the room was rushed and 30 minutes later I was unpacking. Evening canapés and drinks from 5:30pm. Table drink service by Alley and her dedicated, personable, attentive team. They remember your preferences pretty quickly and it became an oasis from Vivid hoping and sightseeing. My suite completely blocked out the light and slept through 2 alarms, it’s the Sofitel Bed topper. Breakfast at Club Sofitel, peaceful, plenty of options to choose from, salmon and capers to a great gluten free station, eggs cooked to order and a great way to start the day. Try the Dilmah Blood Orange and Eucalyptus tea. Thanks Lara. Afternoon Tea served from 2:30 and daily sandwiches , scones, cakes and complimentary drinks, tea, coffee and soft. On entering the Club Lounge, always a friendly greeting, your preferred drink served and a relaxing space anytime of the day. The Club team really made my stay, they work really hard to make your stay great. Housekeeping always made up my room before my afternoon return. Always a Bonjour as you walked past them in the hall. My stay was great. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The Lobby is grand and the history of this hotel makes her great. Not the newest but I prefer tradition and good honest service. Definitely not the style of hotel for everyone but my expectations were met and exceeded beyond imagination. Club Sofitel is a must. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I stayed for a total of 5 nights, Tue and check out on Sunday(7-12 Feb 2023)
Plus point
-Location is really good , plenty of thai/chinese restaurants and room is huge.
-Bed is comfortable,
-Yoshie is one that was one more friendly staff that I remembered her name , please give her a raise or wine on me.(she is a Japanese, in case i got her name wrong)
Hotel staff, is a on and off experience.
The night ones tend to be more ”cold” and the day ones are much better.( again, Yoshie was the ”better” ones, there are more, but I couldnt remember their name)
Now on to the exciting part...
Tuesday- Checkin day, A smooth day but without hand towels and when I asked for them before leaving the place for a concert.
( they claim they were in laundry or something and I find it hard to believe for a 5 star accommodation)
We were without a frying pan as well( they send it up though when i called for it)
Wed- Requested for toothbrush/Toiletries and had to request again after waiting for more than an hour, as it was forgotten ,I presumed
Thu- Requested to change towel when we went out in morning, nothing was done when we were back in evening.
I especially informed the morning reception guys to not forget it, but someone in the middle must have forgotten it.
Evening time, The staff upon informing said they will have it there in 10 mins, which they did.
By the way, the phone became faulty but I didn't bother to inform as I thought I wont have much trouble with it not in use.
I was wrong.
Friday- The express cleaning end-up with all the towels taken away and, thats it.
We found out when we were back in evening.
We were left with no towels and on top of that the phone was not working so I had to go downstairs to inform the reception/staff , on night shift i suppose.
Again they said would be there in 10 mins, which more or less they did.
Saturday- There was a huge cockroach and I had to kill it myself, informed the staff downstairs but honestly I dont expect change of room or anything, just to feedback.
From the above, you can see there were full of dramas and I think these are basic expectations.(especially the towel part)
Would I be back there if I ever go Sydney again?

GGastnutzerDie Lage ist großartig und es bietet ein großartiges Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in Bezug auf eine einigermaßen (könnte besser sein) Küche (spart Geld beim Ausgehen) und eine Waschmaschine und einen Trockner in den Zimmern, was auch großartig ist. Dies ist das 2. Mal, dass ich geblieben bin. Das erste Mal war auf der Straße im 11. Stock in einem Schlafzimmer mit einem Schlafzimmer - sehr hell, aber Lärm von der Straße, aber man gewöhnt sich daran, sogar die Dusche geht auf ein Fenster und es ist hell und geräumig. Beim zweiten Mal war ich in einem Studio im 3. Stock mit Balkon. Lassen Sie sich nicht unbedingt von den Balkonen täuschen. Die Zimmer mit Balkon blicken auf den Parkplatz dahinter, also wenn Sie unter der 8. sind? Etage können Sie den Himmel möglicherweise sowieso nicht sehen, ohne natürlich auf den Balkon zu treten. Aber die Zimmer zur Hafenseite (obwohl keine Balkone, glaube ich) werden wahrscheinlich mehr Licht bekommen. Es ist schon älter und könnte eine Renovierung und vielleicht ein paar Pflanzen gebrauchen, um es optisch aufzupeppen, aber das Personal ist freundlich und professionell. Wenn sie renovieren, wird es wahrscheinlich viel teurer als jetzt! Es wohnen auch Bewohner in dem Gebäude, sodass ein reges Kommen und Gehen herrscht. Der Zugang über die 2. Etage direkt durch den Parkplatz zum Hafen ist großartig, aber es bedeutet auch, dass oft jemand über die Heckklappe hereinkommt oder manchmal die Tür einfach offen war. Daher würde ich kein Zimmer im 2. Stock nehmen. Mein einziges großes Problem war ein Kommunikationsausfall und die Reinigungskraft kam herein, während ich an einem Wochenende schlief (bei längerfristigen Aufenthalten legen Sie dann einen regelmäßigen Reinigungstag für Sie fest, und sie wurden ohne Vorankündigung fälschlicherweise geändert), also verwenden Sie diese Schilder „Bitte nicht stören“! Auch für meinen längerfristigen Aufenthalt waren sie etwas gemein bei der Bereitstellung von Tee / Kaffee und Waschbeuteln, aber auf Anfrage wurde nachgefüllt. Es gibt 2 x IGAs und einen Coles-Supermarkt in unmittelbarer Nähe und einen schönen Spaziergang in Richtung Chinatown und Glebe auf dieser Seite. Ich habe den Pool oder das Fitnessstudio nicht benutzt, aber sie befinden sich im 1. Stock und sahen für mich nicht so ansprechend aus, aber viele Leute benutzten sie.

GGuest UserDieses Hotel befindet sich im Zentrum von Sydney, gegenüber dem ikonischen „Victorian Era“ Queen Victoria Building, und in der Nähe von Sydney Town Hall, mit einer bestimmten „europäischen“ Luft zum Nachbarn. Das Hotel hat keine Sidney-Voraussetzungen: Es ist einfach, sauber, mit sorgfältiger Empfang -Desk-Personal. Zimmer variieren in Ausstattung und Preis: Ich nahm ein 5th-floor Zimmer mit Blick auf die QVB, kein offenes Fenster, zwei Betten, kleiner, aber nicht weniger Platz als ich brauchte; Aufzug. Ich hatte einen speziellen Preis, in einer „downtime“ für die Gastfreundschaftsindustrie. Das war ein erster Besuch: Das Hotel erfüllte meine Qualitätserwartungen, insbesondere für einen Budget Traveler.

JJasTalbHayIch war im Oktober 2022 mit meinem Sohn für 9 Nächte im Meriton. Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet, der Bahnhof Townhall und die Stadtbahn sind nur 2 Gehminuten vom Gebäude entfernt. Es gibt auch einen Woolworths-Nächstblock. Das Haupteinkaufsviertel ist weniger als eine Minute zu Fuß entfernt und liegt an der nächsten Stadtbahnstation, der QVB-Station.
Einer meiner größten Ärgernisse sind die Aufzüge. Es gibt drei davon und sie reichen von der Parkebene bis zur obersten Etage, die wahrscheinlich aus den 50er Jahren stammt. Wir mussten sehr lange warten, um die Aufzüge zu nehmen. Offensichtlich vermietet Meriton auch seine Parkplätze, daher ist die Wartezeit auf die Aufzüge an Wochenenden noch länger, wenn eine Mischung aus bestehenden Zimmergästen, neuen Gästen, die mit ihrem Gepäck einchecken, und Leuten, die ihre Autos vom Parkplatz abholen, anwesend ist. Es ist einfach ein heißes Durcheinander.
Meriton sollte wirklich darüber nachdenken, die Aufzüge zu trennen, um verschiedene Etagen bedienen zu können. Und bitten Sie die Leute, die ihre Autos abholen, andere Aufzüge anstelle der Hauptaufzüge in der Lobby zu benutzen.
Mir gefällt, dass das Zimmer mit einer Waschmaschine und einem Trockner ausgestattet ist und wir jeden Tag saubere Kleidung haben konnten. Ich konnte den Trockner nicht starten, rief um Hilfe und musste mehr als 30 Minuten warten, der Handwerker kam erst nach meinem zweiten Anruf.
Obwohl ich neun Nächte in der Unterkunft verbrachte, war die Zimmerreinigung sehr einfach, nur ein neuer Satz Handtücher wurde gewechselt, das Bett wurde gemacht, der Müll wurde entsorgt und Gewürze (wie Kaffee, Milchprodukte und Zucker) und Badeutensilien wurden aufgefüllt. Kein Staubsaugen des Bodens oder Waschen des Badezimmers, daher ist das Zimmer staubig und auch das Badezimmer, insbesondere die Gummischläuche rund um die Glastür, weist Schimmel auf. Auch die Häufigkeit der Haushaltsführung war uneinheitlich, anfangs alle 3 Tage, in den ersten 6 Tagen, dann auf jeden Tag.
Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass es aufgrund der strategischen Lage immer noch ein ausgezeichneter Ort zum Übernachten ist, aber Sie sollten Ihren Erwartungen gerecht werden, wenn es um die Instandhaltung der Zimmer, die Hotelaufzüge und das Serviceniveau geht. Übrigens, als ich dort war, wurde die Hotellobby gerade renoviert, sodass sich die Situation mit den Aufzügen hoffentlich verbessert.

$12 for a large bottle of water? You’ve got to be kidding.
Anyone walking past your room? You can hear every word they say.
The taps in the shower? One turns on clockwise and the other is anticlockwise. So if you want to change the temperature half way through a shower, you need to basically turn it all off and start again.
If you have a city view, you’re looking at the Eastern Distributor freeway and the commonwealth bank building. The view is ordinary at best.
Uber Eats is difficult to order because the hotel technically doesn’t seem to exist on maps so nobody knows where it is. Then getting an Uber even at 7am it took me fifteen minutes for any driver to accept because the positioning of the hotel is weird and not at all easy to get to.
The lights are hard to use, and I just found this so surprising for a brand new hotel. Then there are USB port outlets, three in the room, but no type-C plugs?
The pool closes at 6pm lol. How ridiculous.
The pump bottles for shampoo and conditioner didn’t work in the bathroom. I had to unscrew them and wash pour out on to my hand. Counter productive and a waste.
So yeah if you want to take photos it’s pretty good but otherwise there are much better places to stay.

GGuest UserA great place to stay near Light Rail, Chinatown, Central, and shopping. Our room was excellent, and we found the reception staff always welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay. It is an excellent hotel for location, for guests who may have difficulty walking up and down sloping streets, as it is in a comparably level area.
