The Rolleston Arms

Wow! What a gem! We had a lovely hour in the pub for a drink. Although we couldn’t get food, the owner said that food was soon to be provided. The owner obviously has OCD as everywhere was super clean! Owner was friendly and incredibly welcoming. We will be back!

They say you get what you pay for - well with a last minute decision to go to Swindon to see a band play at The Rolleston Arms which also has rooms available - we did not put our expectations to high - it was a cheap room but so convenient as the band were playing there too - the decor is in some real need of some TLC and there was a muggy smell throughout - the bathroom was so small I had to open the bathroom door in order to open the toilet door and manage to get myself into the small room - the beds (there was three) were basic and not very comfy - the floors creaked all over and we could hear the people next door speaking - on a plus it was a cheap place to stay and we could not fault the staff who work hard and are very tentative and constantly checking if everything is ok - all the staff we interacted with were very friendly as well as professional as nothing was a to much of a problem for them - the deterioration of the building is far from their problem or fault.
