With 4 bedrooms there is room for everyone including your beloved family dog! The top level holds a cozy bedroom with a Queen size bed and a full bath. The Main entrance level holds the living room, deck, kitchen, dining room and a 1/2 bath. 3rd level holds the master bedroom with deck overlooking the mountains, queen size bed and a large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. Sharing this level is a bedroom with full bath that sleeps 2 adults or 3 kids in bunk beds (full bottom bunk and twin top bunk) and the full sized washer and dryer. The lower level floor has a bedroom with a king sized bed and full sized bath with windows with mountain views, offering privacy and a quiet space. Mattresses, bedding and pillows were selected for comfort and warmth. A dog bed, toys and dinner tray await your furry family member. It gets pretty cold and windy in the winter, so your pooch may need a coat for night time walks.Wintergreen is a four-season resort offering ziplining, Winter skiing and tubing, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, private pools, two golf courses (one at the top and bottom of the mountain), miles of hiking trails and Lake Monocan, a 20-acre lake and park is located at Stoney Creek. Lake Monocan is open Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day. During the ski season a shuttle with pick you up just outside and take you to the main lodge and ski slopes. Wintergreen’s more than 30 miles of marked hiking trails are developed and maintained by The Nature Foundation at Wintergreen which offers guided hikes every Saturday and Wednesday in summer. The entrance into Wintergreen is located just 1 mile to the Blue Ridge Parkway which has the areas most scenic drive as well and loads of hiking trails and overlooks. Shenandoah Ridge is located just above Devils Knob Golf Course and a 2 minute walk up our private road will lead you to a High Country Park which has a viewing platform with picnic tables, gazebo and a fenced in dog area. Just next to that is the Wintergreen spa and indoor pool and Gym. Any Spa treatment will give you access to the gym and indoor pool and hot tubs. Beautiful cabin in the woods!Welcome to our home! This beautiful mountain cabin is located on the top of Wintergreen Resort, and we are pleased to offer your family the same stress free, relaxing getaway we love to come enjoy!The house is a perfect for fit to enjoy Wintergreen with family and friends. It has a great open living and dining area on the middle floor where groups can spend their time together, as well as an upper and lower floor that offer quiet and privacy. There is wonderful wood burning fireplace and firewood is provided. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the pots and pans you will need and there is even a gas grill. A Keurig and regular drip coffee pot are provided, bring your own K-cups. All linens are provided, one set per person.The entry way to the home is very easy access with a flat driveway(steps are required to get to the front door). There is a wraparound deck on the main level, privacy deck attached to the master bedroom and a lower deck for the two lower bedrooms. The “stairway to heaven” puts you on an observation deck with seating and a serene view perfect for a picnic or evening around the fire pit.Wifi, Roku and loads of old DVDs can fill the downtime.It is in a great location with easy access to skiing, snow tubing, outdoor swimming pools and tons of hiking trails right out the front door. The Mountain Inn and Conference center are also a short distance away.• Ski Access/Mountain Inn and Plunge tubing: 5 mins by car inside of resort to Mountain Inn/Ski main parking.• Hiking: 700 yards to the Shamokin Springs Nature Preserve and trail.We are also centrally located to other nearby attractions such as wineries, breweries, several apple and strawberry orchards and fishing.• Wineries: There are a ton! Veritas is about a 30 minute drive and has great wine and even better views.• Breweries: 15 mins to Devils Backbone and Blue Toad Cidery. Several others within a few miles.• Distilleries: VA Distillery Co. has great Whisky and Silverback has a smooth vodka!• Orchards: Chiles Peach Orchard is 45 mins and Carter Mountain Apple Orchard is an hour away. Dickies Bros Orchard is about 30 mins on a beautiful mountain drive.• Fishing: You can fly fish the Tye River for Browns and Rainbows and the Upper and Middle James for small mouth and much more.We are NOT club members. Our home is located walking distance from the Upper Shamokin Trail which features a great scenic waterfall and easy trail for family. Great for large or multiple families and a short drive to the ski slopes.The spaceOur 3 story, 4 bedroom and 3 full bath home is perched atop a hill with (winter) scenic mountain views.In the summer, the surrounding trees make the home very private and almost giving a feel of a tree house. The large expansive decking provides convenient outdoor enjoyment with an additional private deck off the 3rd level master bedroom.Our home has a protected carport for ease of parking and unpacking. There’s additional parking spaces to accommodate family and guests.There are two entrances, one from the carport that leads to the first level which includes, two bedrooms, full bathroom, laundry room, foyer and indoor staircase that leads upstairs to the main living area. An additional entry is from exterior steps that lead to the main living area of the home and large deck. The main level of the home includes an open concept living and dining area with soaring cathedral ceilings with plenty of windows and sky lights for natural lighting and open airy feel. The kitchen, full bath and 3rd bedroom are also on this level.The third floor consists of a loft which overlooks the living area with French doors that lead into the master bedroom. Do not attempt to drive up or down the driveway in snow without 4 wheel drive.We are high enough in elevation (3,850 ft) that AC is rarely needed. We do have mini-splits for comfort. Our home has abundant windows & ceiling fans to keep cool during rare summertime highs at the top of the mountain.
