My family & I usually stay in T*ntr*m (been our no 1. option in Semarang, Yogyakarta, and Tangerang for a while), but considering NY traffic, decided hotel next to mall as safer option, and I think Marriott Yogya will be our no 1. option in Yogyakarta now.
PRE-STAY
Staying experience actually starts the second we finished the hotel reservation, maybe its long before we even arrive at the hotel. Most dont really optimize this.
What I will highlight is Marriott really put my requests (birthday decor in specific room, connecting rooms) into the system, where everyone can check. From the one handling the WhatsApp to the receptionist the day we arrive, Ilham. And they execute my request really well.
I've experienced some that forget my request and ended up decorating the wrong room, or not facilitating the request, even though they said they will facilitate.
*see pic 8 - 11. It doesnt have to be expensive, businesses have to calculate the cost and margin. Whats important, for me, is put some effort into it. Its part of making the stay memorable.
STAY
I love it when :
- the moment we arrive, the staff helps us by opening the car door, w/ the smile and greeting. Not from just one person, but every staff did the smile and greeting.
- Ilham texted that the other room is ready. Most just rely on guest will be the one to follow up, but not Marriott.
- we asked the way to mall entrance, the staff took us to the entrance, not just directing w/ hands.
- they put anti-slip mat in shower area (pic 6), such a functional addition for safety. Because aesthetic needs to meet w/ function.
- we went out at 8.30 in the morning for culinary & coffee around Yogyakarta and put the cleaning sign on, but forget to call, just to communicate that we want the room cleaned while we're out. 2,5 hours later when we're back, those 2 rooms are neat & tidy.
Some hotels dont notice the difference those make for guest(s).
These, for me, really help building the memorable staying exp.

DDr. Ong SoetantoI really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The hospitality feels genuine and the staff are warm and attentive without being over the top. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable straight away.
Breakfast is pretty standard, but still good enough to start the day. The swimming pool is nice and well maintained and yes great if you want to relax a bit after meetings.
The hotel is located in a residential area, so it’s pleasant for a morning walk. If you’re heading to Malioboro, it’s about 20 minutes by GrabBike and around 30 minutes by car, depending on traffic. It’s also close to Plaza Ambarrukmo, which is convenient.
If you don’t feel like eating at the hotel restaurant, there are local spots just a short walk away like bakso and soto nearby are cheap and tasty.
Overall, a comfortable stay for business trips. I’d come back again if I have meetings in the area.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with just the right balance between functionality and style. While not overly large, the space is well laid out and feels cozy rather than cramped. The bed was comfortable, and overall cleanliness was well maintained throughout the stay.
Location-wise, ARTOTEL is convenient for exploring Yogyakarta, with easy access to cafes, local eateries, and key attractions. The staff were friendly and helpful, adding to the pleasant experience.
Overall, ARTOTEL Yogyakarta is a great choice if you enjoy boutique-style hotels with character and personality. It’s not just a place to sleep, but a creative space that reflects the vibrant cultural spirit of the city.

RRezaTrinHotel yang bagus. Dlu hotel ini namanya primepark deh. Utk bangunan ckup tua, tp masih dipelihara dgn baik. Parkiran luas, ada lapangan tenis dan pool yg luas jg. Utk kamar jg bagus dan luas serta terawat. Karpet. Hanya saja aga sedikit remang. Untuk sarapan banyak variasinya.
Utk staff very helpfull dan ramah2. Bner2 nyaman.
Ada peminjaman sepeda juga.

The bellboy manning the drop off is not that good cos seeing me struggling with my luggage in the rain, he did not even offer to help despite having an umbrella. Did not even help us to open the door. Me and my partner struggle to bring our luggage up the slope, in the rain and drenched. Im not sure why, but for the 4 days 3 night im there, the doorbell didnt even offer to help or assist..
For a top 10 hotel in jogja, the bell boy can do better with service wise.
But the Front desk and concierge is very friendly..

The rest are not up to expectations.
1. Location is far from town and airport.
2. Amenities are very old. A lot of things are spoiled and yet not replaced or repaired.
3. Because everything is old and dated, they look dirty too. Bedsheets are full of stains!
4. Water pressure of shower is very low. Take a long time to bathe.
I booked here just because the event I was going to was hosted in this hotel. Glad that I didn’t extend my stay after the event. I am sorry but I won’t recommend this hotel.

AApeQueDie Villa sieht sehr2 schön und malerisch aus, Der Platz für eine kleine Familie war einfach schön (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kind - Luxus Villa 3 Personen-Twin Bett). Wenn wir ins Zimmer kommen, um sich zu niederzulegen, ist das Klimaanlage bereits ausgeschaltet. Der Pool sieht sauber und gut gepflegt aus. Während des Tages wird der Pool kalt und wenn in der Nacht es kalt wird. Nach dem Schwimmen kann man einfach die Kleidung durch den Pool bcs drücken, es ist direkt Sonnenlicht. Das Hotelpersonal war freundlich und hilfreich, wann immer wir ihre Hilfe benötigen.
Aber wir bemerkten, dass der Klimaanlage nicht gut funktioniert. Die Raumtemperatur wird erst in der Nacht (nach 9 Uhr weiter) abnehmen. Wir verstehen, dass das Hotel wie eine Außenvilla ist, aber wir finden einige Antrennungen, die überall laufen. Glücklich, wir finden sie nicht auf unserem Bett. Dann sieht ihr Dusch und Bidet nicht gut gepflegt aus. Es hat überall viel weiße Farben. Auch, ihr Bad, wir fanden ein paar braune Farben, die wir versuchen, sie selbst zu entfernen, aber nicht. Schließlich, aber nicht zuletzt, gibt es keinen Tisch und Stühle für uns zu essen. Normalerweise würden wir einfach im Erdgeschoss in unserem Zimmer vor/unter dem Klimaanlage sitzen, so dass wir uns während des Essens kühlen können.
Insgesamt würde ich eine 7/10 geben, ihre Villa könnte besser aussehen, wenn sie ihre Immobilie gut aufrechterhalten und einen geeigneten Ort für das Essen bereitstellten. Als Person bin ich nicht wirklich fussy zu allen negativen Aussagen, die oben erwähnt, aber mein Ehemann ist nicht wirklich glücklich darüber, so ich hier um 2 Personen p.o.v. teilen. Aber ich bin sehr fussy, wenn es um die Klimaanlage geht. Aber aufgrund meiner Reise, bin ich immer am Tag draußen und nur nachts im Zimmer zurück, so entschloss ich mich, nicht um eine Zimmerwechsel oder den Klimaanlage zu beantragen.

NNenengFür die Lage ist sehr nahe der Lava-Reise touristische Attraktion. Das Zimmer ist ziemlich sauber, aber es gibt einige Einrichtungen, die etwas fehlen, wie das Toilette nicht aktualisiert wurde und es gibt viele Teile des Gebäudes, die möglicherweise repariert werden müssen. Der Service ist ziemlich zufriedenstellend, die Hotelbediensteten sind sehr freundlich.
