当初ドミトリーに予約を入れていて個室に変更したのですが、 先に泊まっていたアメリカ人ゲストの荷物が共有部に散乱していて不安を感じました。オーナーさんが巡回もせず注意もしないので、秩序が保たれにくい状況だと感じます。 個室に変更する時も何の気遣いもなく差額を徴収されました。 ボランティアの方の対応はいいのですが、設備面で満足できませんでした。エアコンや扇風機などが一切ないため汗をかくほど部屋が暑いです。寝ている間もずっと窓を全開にしていました。 風呂場は過去のゲストなどが置いていった石鹸などが放置されており物の置き場がなく清潔感がありませんでした。部屋や風呂・トイレは古いタイプの鍵で毎度開け閉めをするのが面倒です。ちなみにタオルは有料です。 総じて、オーナーさんの利益を追求する姿勢が顕著に現れていました。もっとゲストのことを考えてくれれば快適な滞在になりました。悪い評価に反論のコメントをするよりも、行動に移していただければと思います。

Место ассоциирует себя с серфингом, но фактически проживать тут могут люди далёкие от сёрфинга. Однако, тут можно заказать уроки сёрфинга. На территории очень чисто - каждый день все тщательно убирается и моется. Завтрак в формате шведского стола включён в стоимость (мюсли, овсянка, йогурт, яйца, яблоки, хлеб, тосты, джем, арахисовая паста, молоко, сливочное масло, льняное семя, подсолнечное семечки). Кровати оборудованы двумя USB портами и лампами. Есть также маленькая полочка. Несколько душей, туалетов. На территории живут две очаровательные собаки и кошка. Расположение не в центре, но в пешей доступности от основных достопримечательностей. Атмосфера доброжелательная, сотрудники приветливые.

Salty Jackal is a relaxed quaint backpacker super close to the center of Swakopmund. You can easily walk to the dunes or to the center of town for dinner or shopping. I stayed in the backpacker's room which has three bunk beds. The space in the room is a bit tight but comfortable, nonetheless. While I was an issue came up with one of the showers so there was only one shower to share amongst all the guests. Overall, I think that the value of the hostel is worth the prime location and the niceness of the staff. Every single person was helpful including the two new volunteers.

I had an absolutely amazing experience at Salty Jackal. The staff is exceptional, and there’s a genuine sense of community that makes the place really special. The camp is in a fantastic location and is very well set up. There are daily group activities that create a great atmosphere and make it easy to connect with everyone. The management is super friendly, and the volunteers bring such a positive, welcoming vibe to the whole experience. But the real highlight of the stay is, of course, the surf guiding sessions. The coach is excellent, and the spots are always perfectly chosen — often completely empty, which is something you almost never find elsewhere. It truly makes the experience unique. I 100% recommend it. Thank you, Salty Jackal for these 2 amazing weeks :)

The place is close to the beach and perfect for exploring the town on foot. I didn’t join any this time, but they also arrange different tours, so it seems like a fun spot for a longer stay. Above all, the staff were super friendly and gave me so much positive energy. Even if you’re traveling solo, the nice common areas make it easy to have a fun and relaxing time. Highly recommended:)

I had a fantastic experience at Salty Jackal. The staff, Vittoria, Yessi, Matt are a great bunch - very friendly and professional. They helped me arrange tours, prepared a great breakfast in the morning and overall contributed to an excellent atmosphere. It’s a great spot to base yourself in Swakopmund and to meet other travellers. Highly recommend

We stayed at Salty Jackal for the 1-week surf camp, which was an experience we will never forget. Salty Jackal is probably the best equipped and organised hostel I've ever had the chance to stay at. On top of this, there is a sense of community around that can not be overstated. We got to know amazing people, felt to be in the best hands to learn surfing, and the hostel staff made sure we experienced everything in and around Swakopmund. Thank you, Salty Jackal, for an unforgettable week!

The hostel is pretty small and quickly feels like a big friend group just living together. There are events everyday on top of the surf lessons. The volunteers are extremely friendly, helpful and motivated. The surf lessons are fun and great for learning both theoretical and practical skills. The facilities are clean and comfortable. However, there are not enough bathrooms for all guests and you sometimes have to wait a while to go shower or use the toilet. Unfortunately the coffee that is available during the day is without milk, because you are only allowed to use the milk during breakfast time. Apart from that, in general I enjoyed my stay a lot and would definitely recommend Salty Jackal!

ALL PERFECT!! We spent 5 nights at Salty Jackal, we stayed in one of the private rooms and the dorm. The place is fantastic and a family atmosphere is immediately created, outside there is a beautiful garden where we could all hang out. The dormitory is spacious and equipped with all comforts, as is the private room. The cleanliness is exceptional and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The staff and the owners are very kind, always ready to help and many activities are organized for everyone to do together! I can't wait to return to Salty Jackal as soon as possible!
