This hotel is quite economic for Harris’ level. There are pool, gym, and kids playground. The room is not that spacious but very comfortable for two persons. I requested for an iron and they delivered it to my room very quickly. They could do better for the restaurant, elevator, and the toilet — no bidet shower hence a little bit struggling for kids (i had some guest with kids coming over).

The room is clean and comfortable. The buffet style breakfast is not bad with a variety of choices.

This location is in a more industrial neighbourhood with very few things around it if you’re staying here because you want to be close to the airport, there really is Here’s a tidier version of the hotel review: The hotel is a bit out of the way, so be prepared to either take a taxi deeper into the city or bring supplies back with you. There’s a bakery on the first floor, a restaurant on the second floor, and the hotel has its own kitchen and bar. The fifth-floor bar is pleasant, with live music, but unfortunately, my food experience wasn’t great. When my order arrived, it was clear the food had been microwaved, and the chicken was completely raw. Although they kindly remade the dish, I didn’t want to wait another 30 minutes. The rice was cold and dry, and the Katsu dish, with just a few spoonfuls of curry sauce, was disappointing. On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when I needed to book a hospital appointment for acid reflux. Overall, it’s fine for a short business stay, but not ideal for a longer visit due to the location and food quality issues.

Convenient location with shopping mall, the rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast very much. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay very much.

I originally booked one of the renovated rooms and there is a bit of fiasco in the first day when I came back to the room it just reeked of raw sewage, almost like a pipe it exploded, and I immediately called housekeeping who sprayed but said that they would move me to a different suite which is the one in the photos. This is one of the more expensive suites and it’s basic and similar in comparison to the renovated suite. However, renovated suite looks like it was renovated back in 1990s as the other suite was much nicer and more modern Overall, the service was fantastic. The food in the breakfast was delicious. The pool is nice. I’ll be at a little quiet and overall it’s a great location if you wanna go out to different sites or if you just wanna cruise the mall or do some quick shopping

Die Gastfreundschaft des Personals, die Qualität des Zimmers und die Auswahl beim Frühstück sind unglaublich! The decor leans towards the older side, but I was prepared for this vibe thanks to various reviews I had read. After settling in, I grew to love the cozy atmosphere—like wrapping myself in a warm blanket. The room was surprisingly spacious, offering more space than many newer hotels, making it feel like my own little oasis! The bathroom was also gleaming and roomy enough for an impromptu dance party, should the mood strike! Now, let’s dive into the breakfast experience at Pavilion. The cage-like design of the venue adds a unique touch, inviting plenty of sunlight—perfect for brightening up your morning. The buffet offered a wide array of dishes to satisfy international travelers' palates, making each breakfast an exciting adventure. The selection of Indonesian cuisines and desserts was particularly impressive. But what truly set Pavilion apart was the staff. They were superb and went above and beyond, taking the time to cater to us personally. They even recommended and brought out some local dishes—insider choices that added an authentic touch to our dining experience. In my past hotel breakfasts, the staff often just fulfilled their duties, but here, it felt more like breakfast with friends. That warmth and attentiveness made all the difference! And don’t miss out on the local flavors of ice cream! I can’t name the flavors since they’re all in local dialects, but they were heavenly and a fun challenge to try! For lunch and dinner, I found myself opting for room service several times because resisting their tempting menu was like ignoring a catchy tune stuck in your head. Each meal surpassed my expectations—purely irresistible! Another delightful surprise was the complimentary laundry service offered daily, which saved me after my waterfall adventure left me looking like a mud monster. And post-overnight trip to Bromo? I was practically a walking dust bunny! As I like to say, ”It's the little things that count,” and this thoughtful touch truly made a difference. Lastly, the hotel's location is fantastic! Just a short stroll away lies the biggest shopping mall—truly a haven for foodies and shoppers alike. Overall, my stay at the Marriott Surabaya was delightful, and I left with wonderful memories—definitely a place I’d recommend for a cozy yet vibrant experience!

The lobby and communal areas are stylish, welcoming, and set a positive tone upon arrival. 🏨 Accommodation: The suite was spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable for rest and relaxation. However, I encountered a few cleanliness issues that affected my overall experience: Cobwebs on the sliding door, which made the space feel neglected. Stained bedsheets, which were disappointing and did not meet expected cleanliness standards. These issues suggest that the hotel could benefit from improved attention to detail and housekeeping standards. 📍 Location: While the hotel is centrally located, it is next to an abandoned mall, which creates an unwelcoming, deserted vibe—particularly at night.
