Hotel Laguna Park & Aqua Club - All Inclusive

Just got back from our first holiday to Sunny beach. We will definitely be returning. Cheap, Cheap!!! We stayed in the Laguna Park hotel. Our nearly 4 yr old daughter enjoyed the splash park slides and was able to go on the two inflatable tubes with an adult which made her day. Hotel was clean and tidy. The staff were attentive to clearing away cups etc and there was lots of bins. Maids cleaned the room every morning and were very cheerful. Nice touch with the towel art and arranged the little ones cuddles on her bed. Lifeguards worked hard and were attentive and good choice of inflatables left around the pool for everyone to use. I would like to thank the Kids club team, Vicky, Jenny & Zack for keeping Alice entertained. She never wanted to leave! They were so caring and took the time to interact with each child. Mini disco was good with the children going on the stage. 1,2,3 DJ music (that's all I've heard since we returned). Food was good for all inclusive standard always had something we could eat. Would be helpful if the food was labelled better saying what it was. Rather than just chicken, pork etc.

Hotel was exceptionally clean. The cleaning team were fantastic, the bar staff, reception staff and animation team all polite however the pool life guards ( excluding relax pool in our stay) dont know what day of the week it is, they clearly need some training on the rules of the pools as dependent on who is on is dependent on what is and isnt allowed, so no consistency, leading to alot of tension at times, they love their whistles, at times we thought scooter was doing a guest appearance ( if you no you no haha) The restaurant food was exceptional, so much variation and all presented fantastically. Its a shame the snack bar lets it down, the snack bar is really dismal and really doesnt live up to the standards elsewhere within the hotel. The waiting on staff always busy clearing away etc. Although again the rules for entering vary dependent on who is on so again needs to be reiterated to staff. The rooms are alot better than expected, more than adequate. The pool areas are spotless and i mean spotless, you could eat from the floors. The hotel clearly invests alot in cleanliness and it shows. The sun loungers around main pool need moving, there far to close and pose a risk. The relax pool is fantastic as is the small kids pool( although kids pool is cold) The evening entertainment is well standard and passable however the actual area where it takes place needs work. My daughter attended the kids disco and fell through the side of the stage in to bushes ( 2 years.old) also the area its in is not accesible to all when full, it is steep steps to sit down and they can be difficult to navigate if busy. The kids mini club looks fabulous however only caters to ages 4+. Their is a small soft play for infants near the reception lifts. Its a shambles and needs shutting. The minimal toys are years old and dirty within them ( not cleanable so need binning), the room itself if dreary and clearly an after thought. The bar area has lots of aracde games and playstations and xboxs for use varying from 2 lev to 6 lev.

Good hotel let down by the food and drink I’ll start with the pros Lovely clean rooms the cleaners don’t stop Animation team was excellent , sabi the other girl and zdrako or whatever he was called went out there way to include everyone in the activities they was really good Great choice of pools , yeah the lifeguards are quite strict but with good reason you have to be 130cm for the big slides Great location within a few minutes of the beach and the centre of sunny beach Great staff in general Now the cons The food was awful honestly inedible some of it I literally lived off toast for ten days for breakfast. Some nights was supposed to be themed but it was pretty much the same gruel. The drinks Awful beer weak as anything Cocktails were rank No Prosecco or cava the wife wasn’t happy about that The smell of stale beer at the pool bar was revolting that needs sorting out The charge for the safe seemed expensive Now a few other things not related to the hotel but I need to mention. You will get bitten a lot in sunny beach all my family had loads of midge bites. There’s a pizza/bakery across the road that is quite good and very cheap on the corner. We booked a few excursions khans tent and a jeep safari. The jeep safari was excellent racing with 9 other jeeps and you had water pistols to attack the other jeeps great fun for all. Khans tent was ok but our daughter got bored. Having this being out second visit to sunny beach (the first one 19 years ago) would we go back ? Well that’s a no sunny beach is not what we remember and is more like a Benidorm of the balkans

This is our 3rd trip to Bulgaria and this same hotel and what can I say. Reception/Security Clean, bright and the staff are extremely helpful. Make sure you have your bands in show or security will stop you, which we experienced but we’re not bothered due to just doing their job and making sure everything is in order. Rooms We kindly asked for the same room as we had 2 years ago, a request via email and this was granted. We were in Room 515 Block A and since we were last here they have had new carpets fitted throughout the hotel. The rooms were always cleaned, beds made, fresh towels and toilet roll given each day. We pay for the safe to be able to keep passports in and money we don’t want to take out with us and this had not increased and was 8lev a day. We also paid for late checkout until 6pm which was 100lev and until midnight is 180lev. They have a luggage hold if you don’t want to pay for late checkout, which has electronic scales in to double check before going to the airport which is locked and unlocked on request. Pools The pools are fantastic, a little cold at first but once you get used to it there is no issue. The sun warms up the pool so we didn’t attempt to get in until 11/12am but the kids were more than happy to get in at 9am. Sunbeds are always a battle but remember do not put your towels out before 9am (signs are on the doors before going outside as a reminder) or they will be removed. We found if you put your towels out and someone was sat with them, then this was ok to do, if you want to get up early that is. The main pool is always busier due to the slides, activities by the animation team and the kids pirate ship pool than the relax pool. The pool bar staff are polite and accommodating and again to see George again was really nice. Food The food was again good, somewhat only warm but the themed nights the food was hot and they catered for everyone. There was not a time of the day we didn’t eat anything and the kids always had a plate and belly full. The snack bar is open 10-5, restaurant was 7-10 breakfast, 12-2 lunch, 6-9 dinner. Spa We have never been to the spa so do not know any prices unfortunately. Area Sunny Beach will always be a busy place but the location of the hotel is perfect. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, 10-15 minute walk to the main Flower Street, the heart of Sunny Beach. The bars all accept children though some maybe a little rowdy for younger ears but it is great. Beer prices are around 5lev for a big beer. Opposite the hotel is Bar Iglika ran by James and Tina. These 2 are fantastic and the team is wonderful to everyone. The big beer is cheap at 3.50lev and 1lev shots are brilliant value. Value for Money I love this hotel and we are booking again for next year. The price paid is very good value and couldn’t ask for more from the team at Hotel Laguna Park. Thanks a bunch!

If your looking for entertainment do not come here it’s is terrible! Not on during day for kids nothing for adults on an evening. They have a small stage but didn’t even use it they done a crap few dances (baby shark etc) in the hotel lobby! Food crap but very clean hotel
