Our recent 5-day family getaway at Bakubung Bush Lodge was an absolute dream. The lodge provided the perfect blend of tranquility and adventure. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the peaceful atmosphere and stunning natural surroundings. The staff at Bakubung were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the start. Their exceptional service exceeded our expectations, ensuring that every detail of our stay was taken care of. The game drives were a highlight, offering us the opportunity to witness the beauty of the African bush up close. We were fortunate enough to spot various wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, and zebras. The knowledgeable guides made the experience even more enjoyable with their fascinating insights. The lodge itself was beautifully maintained, with comfortable accommodations and a relaxing ambiance. We loved spending our evenings by the pool, enjoying the breathtaking views and the peaceful sounds of nature. Overall, our experience at Bakubung Bush Lodge was truly unforgettable. Das Resort liegt außerhalb des Pilansberg Reservats. Alles ist großzügig gestaltet und insbesondere Familien mit Kindern haben viele Möglichkeiten. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Anlage machte einen sauberen Eindruck - Bewertung: 5 Punkte. Negativ empfanden wir das Restaurant, das eher zu einem Campingplatz als zu einem Resort gehört. Entsprechend waren die Servicekräfte dort auch nicht sonderlich engagiert - Bewertung: 2 Punkte. Leider gibt es keine vernünftige Möglichkeit außerhalb zu essen, wenn man nicht nach Sun City fahren möchte. PS. Nach Vereinbarung fährt ein kostenloser Shuttlebus nach Sun City und wieder zurück. Der Eintritt in Sun City kostet 75.- ZAR/Person abends ab 18 Uhr.

Sun City is a large resort with lots to do on site for all the family. This was a short visit and I had a pleasant stay. The resort site is big but transport is provide around the grounds. The room is a good size and was suitable for our needs. The food at breakfast had a lot of choice and staff very helpful. The restaurant was busy at breakfast but the queue for food was not too bad. There are a choice of restaurants you can choose from and also valley of the waves is popular if you have children. I also did the safari and this was an enjoyable part of the trip.

I booked a 2 night getaway for my husband’s birthday. We have stayed at every property at Sun City excluding Lefika. Our last stay 2 years ago was at the palace. I had high hopes for Cascades however the stench permeating the hotel is disgusting. I think it is coming from the lake that has not been cleaned for months maybe years. We stayed in room 219 however as you enter floor 1 where the Peninsula restaurant is situated. This is where the buffet breakfast is served. The smell permeates the entire floor 1, 2 and parts of 3. ( I did not walk through the rest of the floors Only one diffuser in sight on floor 1, there are 2 lounge areas which cannot be utilised due to the stench. We booked a family room, a sleeper couch for the kids which caved in during the first night. I complained the next morning only to discover that evening the sleeper couch was shortened somehow and my son did not fit on the couch. Whilst the breakfast was great and the service by the staff was great, I wonder if the General Manager walks through the hotel and enjoys the smell of his hotel. The stench even seeped into our room. I have to mention that the family room is very spacious in comparison to others I have booked in the past.
