Rectory Manor

Our second time visiting and as promised we brought our friends along with us. Our friend is a world war fanatic and our host/owner Frank, was more than happy upon our request, to spend time with our friend and go through his family’s rich history which included signed pictures of the late King George and war medals. It’s such a beautiful manor, a comfortable welcoming atmosphere. It feels personal. I urge you all to stay here and explore the beautiful landscape and local town.

What a lovely upmarket B&B. I wanted to stay somewhere near Lavenham (6 minutes by car) and fancied something a little different from a hotel or pub with rooms. Rectory Manor Hotel is a beautiful family home with a number of beautifully decorated guest rooms. The house has gardens, a croquet lawn, outdoor pool and a walled garden. There’s a lounge given over to guests but decorated like a proper country home. Breakfast is served in a large dining room with a long refectory table so guests can meet each other. The owners are a charming and friendly couple and offer excellent advice on local restaurants and walks. Only word of warning - take care if you book an attic room in the stable extension - I don’t know how many times I bashed my head on the slopping ceilings!!!! Would stay again if I’m in the area.

What a fabulous hotel. We celebrated my husband's birthday for 4 nights in the garden room with our labrador. It was a perfect location. The room was huge with a conservatory and a private garden. The owners and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was perfect and was served at a large table which enabled us to meet some lovely, interesting guests. Everything about the hotel enabled us to have a very relaxed and enjoyable break. Two electric car charging points were a bonus too! If we visit the area again we will definitely stay again.

Lovely spacious room. Quiet, peaceful surroundings. Warm & cosy fires. Beautiful lounge for reading or just relaxing. Knowledgable & friendly owners. Polite and helpful staff. Excellent choice at breakfasts. So nice we came back after 3 weeks!

A wonderful retreat! We were lucky enough to visit on a hot sunny day and had sole use of the pool area for a couple of hours on arrival. Wonderful. The manor is a special place to stay, a genuine place with a personal touch and great facilities. Fantastic value for money. Will definately be back
