Premier Inn Stratford-Upon-Avon Central

Disappointing stay, Heater in room did not work (this is an ongoing issue with the new air-conditioning, the old wall heaters were far more reliable) and no shower gel. Also evening menu very basic, think this is the new format at the in house Premier Restaurants. As usual, staff very helpful, but the cost cutting is showing!!

Both myself and my husband were very impressed with the hole experience from the attentive staff to the comfortable room and very lovely breakfast. It was a great base to be able to see Stratford-on-Avon and know we were going to have a great time but also know our base would be what we needed and enjoyed.

I was initially concerned about the standard of the room due to lack of reviews and a negative review previously about a dirty room. However I must say I was pleasantly surprised, ok it doesn’t look the most attractive from the outside and the initial stairs up to reception don’t give the best first impression, the carpet is a bit torn and it generally looks a bit shabby but once in reception it looked like any other respectable premium inn, the staff were very friendly when helping us with check in, we were in one of the newly refurbished rooms and it was really lovely, very clean and spacious. The only other things I would note is that the hair dryer isn’t particularly powerful so perhaps consider taking your own if you have long/thick hair. There was no shower seal on the the shower screen glass panel which meant water ran through the gap and on to the floor meaning we had to use extra towels to mop up the area afterwards, and some of the breakfast items the next morning were fairly cold even though they had been under the heat lamps, the food hadn’t been sitting for too long either as it was a quick turn around from it being cooked to getting on the people’s plates so maybe the heat lamps need checking? Another family next to us also pointed this out so we knew it wasn’t just us. However all food was enjoyable and the continental items were topped up promptly by staff who were doing a great job. Overall, we had a really pleasant stay and would definitely return to stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms, the location is great we parked at a local car park overnight and the cost was fairly reasonable.

The room was amazing, central to the town centre, had everything we needed, would definitely ask for this room again, the shower was amazing, everything was just how we imagined, when we wanted a break it was a short walk to the hotel, such a beautiful place to visit!!!!!!

Excellent location very close to the riverside and town centre. We parked on the leisure centre car park about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Reception is up some stairs where we were met by a very friendly lady who quickly got us checked in. We'd booked a Premier plus room which was on the 2nd floor, yet more stairs! There's a small lift by the front door up to the reception and another lift in the centre of the building. It's all a bit odd! The room was perfect. Newly refurbished by the looks of it and spotlessly clean. And of course a comfortable bed and pillows. I would have scored 5/5 but for the confusing layout and the amount of stairs.

The car park is over 400yds from the hotel and across 6 pedestrian places on a VERY busy road. The layout of the hotel floors is up and down short flights of stairs. Hence access for the unfit is VERY BAD when aged with cases. IF YOU LESS THAN FIT YOU MUST GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. MUST!!! Room and breakfast ok.
