It’s no wonder not many locals visit this pub which is a shame as it’s the only one in Priors Marston. Downstairs is drab and a bit grimy, note the dirty glasses in the bar, with no atmosphere and a huge TV blocking the light out in one of the window in whatever the other room is called. Upstairs, after walking up a dirty staircase it’s like a rabbit warren with shelves with toilet rolls on a microwave halfway along the corridor where I presume you can make a drink. The room I stayed in had a comfortable bed, no wardrobe just coat hangers to hang your clothes on a hook at the back of the door! Shower looked good from a distance but dirty door at the bottom, dripping tap that was loose and lots of dust in various places. Breakfast was abysmal. Cheap bread,croissants, cheap jam and a kettle and coffee machine on a rather dodgy looking shelf other things on a windowsill. Nobody around at all and a, find your own way out as pub door locked.The landlord needs to sort himself out or I can see this place will be in the market soon. The pub needs a full upgrade and it’s such a shame as it could be a goldmine if updated as it’s in such a lovely village.

A little out of the way, but well worth a visit. Lovely big rooms, clean and comfortable. The staff are fantastic. I work away from home most of the time, and I've never fe5so at home anywhere I've been. The beer in the pub is kept well. The Chinese restaurant attached is probably the nicest food iv eaten in a long time. If you're in the area, do yourself a favour and stop here for the night

Stayed for a night, we got the last room available on the date. This turned out to be very cramped and lacked some key facilities in the room. I presume it was the smallest room as it was the last one available. Access to the rooms is via key code control on external and internal doors, for those with poor eyesight and the dim lighting this was difficult. We ate in the pub having a Chinese meal from their takeaway menu, unfortunately it was rather bland with little seasoning or flavour. Breakfast was a help-yourself continental, the items were fresh, with a good range on offer and good seating but the food was in the corner, cramped if two diners wanting to get their food. Otherwise the pub was comfortable but the accommodation could have some minor improvements.

We stayed for one night in December with our puppy Dottie, the staff were friendly and very accommodating. Dottie was made very welcome. We had a Chinese take away from the attached restaurant which was fantastic.The breakfast is only continental but was perfectly fine. We will definitely stay here again

The bed was not very comfortable and the shower dripped all night. The staff were very friendly and the place is very dog friendly. There is a Chinese take away in the pub which we ate in the bar - very good and well priced. The floor boards creeked in the living accommodation but given all that we enjoyed our stay and would do it again.
