Burnside Hotel

Just returned from a wonderful 5 night stay at the Burnside Hotel. The room was lovely with a very comfortable king size bed (my husband has a lot of back trouble and often struggles with hotel beds, but not here!) luxury furniture, power shower and coffee machine. We ate every night at the hotel and the menu offered such variety we were able to choose a different option every night, which is often not the case at a small hotel! The Sunday Roast Menu and the Curry Night Menu were great additions and the flexibility of options from the usual menu was also appreciated. Breakfast was freshly cooked and coffee and fruit juice were served at the table in abundance (we had the continental option one day too which was great, with fresh fruit, croissant and pain au chocolate). The staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The whole place was so clean and well maintained - real attention to detail in the room and around the whole hotel. We can highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay there again ourselves!

An amazing hotel, set in idyllic surroundings. With great attention to detail. Wonderful staff and management. Received a complementary room upgrade to the Grand Super King Room. A fabulous room. Excellent is size, and immaculate. Food was lovely. Cask and Tandoor bar/restaurant attached to the hotel had a great selection of drinks and food. A well needed break made special.

I recently stayed at Burnside Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon and was disappointed by the lack of service. The hotel is clean and nicely refurbished, but there was no room service or staff presence to assist guests. I had to go down multiple times just to ask for water or ice, and eventually had to walk to another building myself to get a bucket of ice and five bottles of water. Although they claim 24/7 reception and bar service, no one was ever available. Breakfast was also very poor and limited and didn’t meet expectations. For the price, I expected a much better level of hospitality. I say this with full respect, but I wouldn’t return unless real improvements are made in guest support and service.

Easy booking and we would highly recommend the Burnside Hotel. We have been back twice and would go again. Friendly, helpful and efficient staff. Comfortable beds and nice decor. Good food with excellent curry on Thursdays. Good taxi service, (five - ten minutes) into Stratford. Seven minute walk to Anne Hatherway’s house which is worth a visit. Enjoyed a show at the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, a visit to the butterfly farm and lunch by the river.

Wonderful stay at the Burnside, a beautiful location. I would describe as boutique hotel - tasteful decorated . My room was huge bright and spacious . Dinner was excellent. Easy parking and 5 min walk from from anne hathaway house . Beautiful outside terrace to sit and watch sun set by the stream .
