The Crest Motel

I was really hopeful I could find a local place instead of a chain. I was raised in this town and wanted to support the community. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the room. I was taken back when we went to shower and there was not any hot water. Joe was very responsive and told us there was an unusual demand for hot water that morning and to wait 30 minutes. I know the property was not at capacity since we had a room for 4 and only 2 of us (and had not used any water yet). We were set back on our timeframe for our event and found another place to stay the second night. I did not reach out to Joe by 1100 (the check out time) because we were at our event, and because of the time (I contacted him at 1:45pm), he would not refund the second night. My opinion is that I should have at least been given a late check out refund. My request was a full refund as we could not shower and get ready on time and that was denied. The lack of water was my only complaint, but if I cannot get ready and make it to my destination on time, that is a fault of the property when the basic need was hot water.

Sterling charmer Very nice room. Appeared to be recently remodeled. My only complaint was the window AC unit, as I prefer quiet when sleeping. Bed was super comfortable.

A hidden gem The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are very well kept. The rooms was very clean and well furnished. This area of town was very quiet with little traffic.

Quiet and quaint historic motel fully renovated. Clean and loved the key code check in.

Very charming older property with some nice upgrades. Lovely property with patios and outdoor gathering spaces. Bathroom door did not close and needs to be rehung to align with door frame. Quality linens and towels. Love the retro refrigerator and microwave. Didn't interact with any staff so couldn't rate them good or bad. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was cozy and clean however the set up was not very comfortable. The a/c had to run most of the time and was very noisy. The television was very small and the volume didn’t get very high which made it difficult to hear over the a/c. The water took several minutes like about 10 to get warm for a shower but once it finally got warm it was comfortable.
