Having stayed in Franschhoek on a couple of occasions previously we eventually made our way to stay in the Protea. Great location, within walking distance of everything in Franschhoek. Very secure car park. We were delighted with our stay and will be happy to stay again. Lovely room on the ground floor near the pool with everything we needed. The food was very good. We had breakfast each morning of our four night stay and had an evening meal on two occasions. A very nice bar where we had a nightcap each evening. Two excellent bar men who were very friendly and pleasant and really knew what they were doing. All the staff were very pleasant and eager to please. Thank you for a very pleasant stay. We will be back.

Es war genug und wir fühlten uns nicht gut. Wir teilten diese Informationen und einen Antrag auf teilweise Erstattung mit l’Ermitage, der mit dem Wort „entschuldigt“ reagierte und würde besser tun, wenn wir nächstes bei ihnen blieben. Das Devon Valley Hotel liegt idyllisch in den Weinbergen ca. 3 km oberhalb von Stellenboch mit einem wunderbaren Blick auf das Städchen. Es liegt sehr ruhig, hat eine sehr schöne Terrasse, auf der man Frühstücken und Abendessen kann, wenn das Wetter dafür geeignet ist. Das gesamte Personal ist super freundlich, kompetent und hilft einem in jeder Beziehung weiter.

Die Gartensuite ist für 1 Nacht in einem Schlafzimmer, das Personal im Rezeption die zusätzlichen Meile beträgt, während die ein Schlafzimmer Suiten (Wohnung) etwa 3 Mal größer sind als die Standardzimmer, aufgrund einer separaten Lounge, Kleine Küchenzeile und ein Außengarten, die Zimmer selbst sind EXTREMMEN MINDER, mit nur einem TV im Lounge - die Dusche ist über dem Bad, im Gegensatz zu den Standardzimmern, die nur eine Dusche haben - die Matratze in unserem Zimmer war Sehr hart - obwohl die Immobilie hat Spektakuläre Umgebung des Berggebiets, die Suiten ob auf der ersten Etage mit Balkon nicht genügen, um sich die Umgebung zu sehen - Ladies sollten beachten, es gibt keine Bar-Seife, oder sogar ein Shampoo in den Badezimmern - das enttäuschendste war das Frühstück - es ist NICHT ein Buffet und nur einige Serien, eine Fruchtkuchen und 1 Joghurt - NO Käse, kaltes Fleisch, oder sogar verschiedene Brote, Rollen usw. - Ich habe bemerkt, es ist ein 4* Hotel, aber nicht einmal Scons, Croissants, oder ein Muffin - ein warmes Frühstück wird auf Bestellung serviert, was ziemlich schön war - insgesamt ist der Service gut, aber der Koch könnte gerne das Frühstück anbieten, wenn man die Gesamtheit betrachtet Hotelpreise - das Restaurant und die Bar sind zwischen Golfern und Hotelgästen geteilt und während wir Mittagessen, die Nikotin der Raucher, sitzend in der Bar, gereckt im ganzen Restaurant - meines Erachtens ist dies ein idealer Ort für Golf-Enthusiast.
