Sun deck dock with lots of room to enjoy the sun and swimming, along with the other water equipment we offer. Spend quality time with family and friends and enjoy the endless lake and mountain views from this 4BR/3BA home located inside a gated community on Lake James. The private double decker dock offers space for a boat, not included, and two decks for lounging. There are area options for boat rentals and other water toys. Included, are 4 kayaks for guest use and 2 paddle boards. The outdoor entertaining space is great with a large back yard with fire pit and plenty of outdoor seating for dining. Your eye goes directly to the water! There are upper and lower decks on the rear of the home, facing the lake, and both offer seating options. These decks have just been updated and expanded! Our lot has expanded to include the cove to the right and we are working to make this space usable to our guests by adding walkways for kayak access. Boat trailers are not allowed to be parked in the driveways, if you bring a boat, you will need to secure off site parking. The manager can send you information on a location and costs.About the house: Upper or main level has master bedroom and bath with patio doors to the deck overlooking the lake, a second bedroom with another king bed, large hall bath, and great room design with kitchen, eat in dining, and living room with vaulted ceilings and gas fireplace. New larger doors now lead out to the deck with extra dining options and expanded seating. The lower level has a large den and smart TV, bedroom with queen and new larger patio doors to the lower deck, and one more bedroom with a queen and also a bunk bed. Large hall bath. The laundry area is located off of the bunk room. Home offers internet and 3 TVs for convenience.Lake James is located in both McDowell and Burke Counties and offers 30% of it's shoreline to the State Park, so it's no wonder that there is no shortage of outdoor activites to enjoy in our area. We have boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking and canoes, hiking, biking, trails and mountain climbing. Marion and Morganton are nearby towns that offer shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities. Enjoy an expansive shoreline with wide open views and a wonderful spot to swim. This home offers views of Dobson’s Knob and Table Rock. Natural landscaping surrounds this 6BR/4.5 BA Topsider Home. Expansive floor plan and 6 bedrooms makes it the perfect home for family/friend getaways. Guests will have access to the platform dock, the deck above the dock, and several kayaks, including paddles. The living room and kitchen are open to the dining area and living area, and all have floor to ceiling views to the lake/mountains outside. This area is very open and spacious due to the design of the home. A powder room, Master bedroom with Smart TV, and master bath with jetted whirlpool tub are located on the main level. The staircase leading to the upper level is open to the living area. The staircase leading to the lower level is enclosed.The Upper Level has 2 additional bedrooms and 2 full baths. There is a landing that looks over the great room below.The Lower Level has a family room with a 60” LG OLED Smart TV that is connected to router with an Ethernet cable, 3 bedrooms, a large full bath, and laundry area with new washer.The WIFI plan is with Frontier and was just updated Spring 2023. The lot is very natural, so there are windows of views from the home. The lower level has a patio under the above deck with porch swings.What we love about our home: The round design offers an open and airy flow to enjoy the views and interacting with family and friends. Our lot is mature and naturally wooded to offer privacy. Our community is gated and offers walking trails and lots of wildlife. You will feel like you are tucked away in a peaceful place, and yet you are only minutes from town.The property has a series of stairs that lead to the dock. We suggest children should always be accompanied by an adult. We also recommend a well-planned list before walking down to the platform and dock. You will get your exercise on those stairs. See photos.The garage is open to the guest. It also houses the gas grill, fire pit, and trash containers. These items should stay in the garage due to wildlife. Do not leave them sitting out unattended. Additional paddles or vest may be stored here if needed. The grill and the fire pit are only to be used on the driveway, not on the deck due to fire risk.The home is set up for 12 guests and we provide linens, towels, kitchenware including kid’s flatware and cups, a drip coffee machine and a Keurig. Please send the manager an email if you need to know about specific items. We do not have any infant items, such as gates, cribs, or highchairs.Marion is the closest town, about a 15-minute drive, and Morganton is about a 30-minute drive. Asheville is an hour away, Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Boone are also about an hour drive.
