There have been times in more significant storms (2ft+ of snowfall) when snow removal can take longer. It doesn’t happen often, and our other guests have always been able to make it work. It is California state law that tire chains must be carried in all vehicles between November and April. All guests booking a stay in the winter should anticipate the possibility of tire chains being necessary to travel to Big Bear and should planning accordingly. This requirement is enforced by city officials and law enforcement. Partial refund is considered if all 3 roads to Big Bear are CLOSED. Guests are responsible for time and cost of snow removal during cabin stay and no credits will be issued due to inconvenience or issues.
