"The hotel was comfortable and well located. The residents were friendly and like-minded (not a partisan crowd). It was quiet at breakfast and the breakfast was full and tasty. The apartment was really spacious and the air conditioning was a big plus! The kitchen was fully equipped to prepare your own food. We would have enjoyed longer in the apartment. The pool is also a big plus! The service was good, the apartments are kept clean and tidy. At the pool, you can also get food/snacks and drinks from the counter, which was located in the closed courtyard of the aparthotel."

"Great cosy and relaxing stay at Orestis Hotel. Nassos is a great host and doing everything he can to make the stay comfortable. Pano Stalos is a little village about 5 minutes away from Stalos and 10 minutes away from Platanias (by car or taxi) - you can walk down to Stalos from the hotel in about 15 minutes. Taxi to STALOS is about 8€ and taxi to the middle of Platanias (very touristy) is 13€. There is one restaurant in the village and one terverna which has great and cheap food. Very authentic. We surely come back"

"Eine furchtbare Erfahrung! Ein winziges Zimmer mit nur einem Fenster, das man nicht öffnen kann, weil ständig Leute vorbeigehen. Es wird als Strandhotel beworben, aber man sieht kein Meer. Man sieht nur die Wassertanks auf den Dächern. Das Badezimmer ist winzig und das Duschwasser läuft überall über, weil es keine Abdeckung gibt. Ich würde es niemandem empfehlen."

"Im Badezimmer starke Geruchsbelästigung vom Abfluss. Waschbecken Abfluss war verstopft. Schimmel im Bad und defekte Dusch Armaturen. Nach 19 Uhr Wasser nur lauwarm. Matratze war durchgelegen. Kein Kleiderschrank, zu wenig Ablage für Wäsche. Nachttisch nur als Ablage. WLAN schlecht, langsam oder gar nicht. Viele Zusatzgebühren trotz all inklusive, z.B. Safe, Getränke im Zimmer, am Strand 10€ für Sonnenschirm und Liegen pro Tag. Kein Minimarkt, nur noch ein Spezialitäten Restaurant"

"The hospitality of the place is truly genuine, you feel at home instantly. No matter what, they help you out. A very quiet place at the beginning of the beach, you can easily relax at the balcony with just the waves sounding. No rush in the morning to get ont of the (free) sunbeds. We went for several walks up and down the beach and no other hotel felt better than Girogialis. The other hotels are more classic tourist places with a lot of people in the crowded sunbeds. Room with big bed, excellent air conditioning, bathroom is fine. Calm. Relax. Enjoy the beach just a staircase down from the pool area. We also had a kind surprise from Mike to celebrate our special occasion. So touching! We can’t wait to return. Love this place!!!"

"If you want to experience Cretan hospitality very near to a large and attractive beach with plenty of authentic tavernas nearby and also beautiful walks in the hills with olive groves and Mountain Views, this is the perfect place. Melina and Antonis are such kind and generous hosts who make you feel like old friends. The accommodation we stayed in was comfortable, in perfect condition, very clean and well organised with beautiful views of the sea from the balcony. There was everything we needed for our two week stay and they also lent us beach mat and sun umbrellas so we didn't have to buy them. They gave us helpful advice and answered all of our questions about the area patiently and always with a smile! We were delighted with our stay from every point of view and will be recommending it to friends and family. We also recommend our favourite Taverna, Katsarales which just happens to be the closest! We will be back!"

We had a family vacation, there was a room with a side view of the sea, the views from the room are simply amazing, the hotel is very beautiful and stylish, everything is thought out to the smallest detail. Large spacious room, has everything you need, convenient location, bus stop, shops and taverns nearby, excellent sandy beach. The rest was magical. I recommend. 10 out of 10"
