Bay of Fires Bush Retreat

The Bay of Fires Bush Retreat, is a place you will never forget. As a married couple and on our 6th time to visit Tasmania, spending one night here, has eclipsed any other experience we've had to date. It's the little but well thought out inclusions that makes this place so perfect: * the comfortable and cosy beds in the bell tents are luxurious (the electric blankets were a God send) * the clean and modern furnishings to style each area (loved the fun outdoor games to play also) * the shower and bathroom facilities, with great water temperature and pressure (love the idea to repurpose water for the plants) * the kitchen, dining and honesty bar only enhanced our feelings of being trusted and welcomed. This is such a fabulous idea that we have never experienced before in Tasmania let alone other states we've spent and lived in Australia * we had breakfast included in our booking and it was cooked to perfection. So modern, so elegant and such a creative professional touch that would leave most modern restaurants and cafes in his wake. The comfort levels and price we paid for our one night stay was superior to other well known resorts and accommodation in Tassie. We personally would like to thank the owners for being so brave and bold to have offered such a luxurious and memorable experience. We dealt with the Manager, Jamie for our visit and believe his knowledge, commitment to customer care and expertise was a massive contribution to our experience. So basically, we love Bay of Fires Bush Retreat and will be back and will definitely be spreading the good word for many years to come. Thank you x

Wow! If looking for a unique experience while road tripping through Tasmania, this is it! Glamping at its finest - luxury tents or a more standard room option (which we chose). Beautiful communal space (kitchen, baths, fire pits). Charcuterie board options available for purchase as well as pre-made gourmet meals with complimentary pasta/rice provided (loved the lamb bolognese) and honor bar meant we didn't have to stress about our evening meal. Kookaburras "laughed" in the background, wallaby's bounced through the grounds. The best part of our experience was connecting in the evening with people from around the world! Can't wait to return!

Retreat is definitely the right word to use. A wonderful place to relax and for me to completely decompress from my busy and stressful job. Excellent amenities, everything was exceptionally clean. Everything has been thought of even down to the French press to make a coffee. We didn't take advantage of the prepared meals but the other guests who had said the food was really good. We will definitely be coming back and this time we will pack much lighter re food supplies and take advantage of the home cooked meal options. The caretakers throughout our 3 night stay were helpful and very friendly. Thanks Jamie for the rockpool hint for a swim! 3 nights was perfect, can't wait to go back! Cheers Alison & Adam
