Anchor Wheel Motel

Lovely and clean. Very quiet. Even though it was full we couldn’t hear any noise from adjoining rooms. The owner is very helpful giving us lots of tips for what to do and where to eat. The communal kitchen is very handy. There is also a free guest laundry.

What a delight it was to recently stay at Anchor Wheel Motel and to have the privilege of occupying the newly refurbished Executive suite. Atilla and Deb are to be congratulated on their efforts to restore their Motel following a freak storm which caused extensive flooding earlier in 2024. They have worked tirelessly to restore and refurbish each Unit, replacing carpets. beds and other furniture, re-tiling bathrooms, painting, all to ensure a fitting ambience and comfort for their guests. Amongst the many features of Anchor Wheel Motel is the Guest Lounge where you are welcome to relax and enjoy a late afternoon drink from the licensed bar. There is parking right outside each unit making for easy transfer of luggage. From Anchor Wheel Motel you can easily access the many food and dining venues of St. Helens and Attilla is well equipped with information to guide you with activities and sightseeing in the iconic Bay of Fires area. While in beautiful St Helen's, l stayed at the Anchor Wheel Motel. The rooms are modern & spacious. Had a relaxing night's sleep in the comfy bed. Excellent facilities available too. The hosts Atti & Deb are so helpful & generous with their time. Very reasonably priced.

We stayed in room 2. Clean and tidy room in a quiet old-style motel. The motel also has a guest laundry and guest kitchen. Weirdly, the handbasin for the bathroom is in the kitchen, but it wasn't inconvenient for a one night stay. The queen sized bed was too soft and springy for us, but that's just personal preference.

Such a friendly welcome provided by the owner with some amazing food and travel tips that weren’t on my itinerary. We loved St Columba falls, the Pub in the Paddock and the Cheese factory. Our room is very clean and well appointed. Good value for money and nice quiet location close to town.

We travelled to St Helens for an overnight stay and were very pleasantly surprised by the modern updated nature of the premises. The host was super obliging, with nothing a problem, and he was also readily available to assist. All 6 of us that stayed were very happy with the premises and the staff. We all loved our stay and will be returning to stash again - provided they are not booked out !!! Well done to the owner.
