Hotel Adriana

Fantastic hotel with great staff who are only too happy to help you, the location is the best for island ferries, tours , dining etc , we had a marvelous time there with and we can not speak highly enough of the staff at this hotel . We will most definitely stay here again on our next visit in 2025 . To the Hotel Adriana team , Thank you for such a great experience through your warm hospitality .

It's sometimes said that "never eat at the main street restaurants" in touristy places. With Hotel Adriana that is so true. We had our worst dining experience for a long time and we do travel a lot. Our waiter was the aggressive type and gave us the wrong starter, a fish platter instead of mixed meat and cheese. We tried for some time to get his attention without luck, so we gave up and decided to eat what we could of this starter. That turned out to be almost nothing, as it was not delicious or what we liked. The waiter apologized when he came and offered to bring the correct starter. We declined as quite a long time had passed and we were expecting our main course. The main course came and in one word it was terrible. Overcooked and really bad so we only ate a few bites and by the way this was our most expensive meal in Croatia. However we had good wine and in spite of this we were in a good mood and decided to tip the waiter and I had the money ready. When we got the bill from the aggressive and arrogant waiter which at that point he demanded 15% tip. That made me angry and I decided not to give the tip because of him demanding it and his arrogance. In short it ended with the waiter blocking me at the table so I could not walk away after I had paid the bill of almost 200 Euro. My wife was calling to me to just pay this 20 euro tip and go away which I did and I still regret it. This was our worst food and service experience we have had for a very long time and I feel obliged to inform other people about this terrible restaurant.

I was shocked to discover upon arrival that the Adriana “Hotel” is actually a few rooms above the Adriana restaurant/bar, and the hotel business is an afterthought. There is no employee designated for hotel guests. I finally found a waiter at the bar who checked me in. The hallway light is on a very short timer and I found myself in pitch-black darkness before I could even locate the room. I learned to have my phone light ready when I entered the hallway. The room was dingy and rundown…totally unlike the rooms shown in the photos. The view from my window (see photo) was a cement stairwell at the back. My reservation confirmation (also posted here) promised a “deluxe room with sea view.” Ordinarily, I would discuss the situation with the hotel manager but there was never anyone at the check in desk. I sent an email and waited two hours in the lobby sipping a drink, but no one never responded to me. The ultimate insult is that this was by far the most expensive hotel during my three-weeks of travel in the Balkans.

The hotel is old and tired, great location, however the staff are seriously lazy and had to be badgered to get served anything, coffee, food, even getting our room keys. I would not recommend , even with its great location, there are other hotels in the front.

Location - couldn’t be better. Receptionist- very nice and helpful Rooms- very dated but fine for just a couple of nights. Some toilet rolls would appear each day but they never cleaned or made up the bed Breakfast- not many options on the menu, but adequate and edible despite long waits. Coffee is out of a machine there’s no barrister. At breakfast, both of the servers we encountered during our stay were miserable and treated us poorly. The old woman with dark short hair was extremely rude to us despite us being friendly and non demanding. The way she spoke to us was genuinely shocking and means I cannot leave a positive review nor would I ever stay here again. In summary, there are far nicer hotels on the Riva for a similar price point and would recommend seeking them out

Fantastic location right on the seafront. Though our room was at the back with no view this was fine as led to a quiet and peaceful sleep. Room was large and comfy with a great shower and fridge and housekeeping was really good. We only ate breakfast which was included and a good choice and very filling. This was served on the lovely terrace at the front with lovely views overlooking the sea. Ideal spot for exploring Split.
