Our brand new accommodations are thoughtfully designed as a modern, mountain getaway. Our property features state-of-the-art accommodations and smart amenities on a gorgeous 150 acre property. Guests enjoy private hiking trails, endless access to the outdoors, fresh mountain air, and open space in nature. Rent an entire private cabin in the mountains! Each full cabin sleeps up to 12 people and has 8 twin-bed pods, 4 queen-bed pods, along with two full bathrooms. Designed by award-winning architecture firm GWWO, our "Circadian Rhythm" cabins are private and luxurious with modern amenities, skylights to the stars, stunning mountain views, and unparalleled access to the outdoors. River Mountain offers guests endless access to the outdoors and nature. Our property features private hiking trails, seven natural springs, Sweet Root Creek, outdoor yoga platforms, Hammock Hideaway, forest bathing, complimentary sunset happy hour, and evening private bonfires. We are bordered by Buchanan State Forest, home of Pennsylvania's Trail of the Year, The Mid State Trail and thousands of acres of outdoor recreation. Our guest guides feature self-guided hikes and outdoor recreation, designed for all skill levels to enjoy during their stay. Our on-site spaces and amenities are created to satisfy the needs of our guests during their stay. The historic 1807 log cabin has been restored into our community dining area. Our beautifully restored Mennonite barn is a communal lounge space with open air walls for guests to relax, read, or recreate. The main lodge features an expansive coworking space with floor to ceiling windows, natural light, and office amenities for remote work. There's so much to experience at River Mountain, we look forward to welcoming you to this little slice of paradise. Each cabin includes an expansive deck and outdoor gathering space, high speed wifi, state-of-the-art remote workspaces, apartment size refrigerator, freezer, coffee maker, floor to ceiling windows, and 12 Amish-crafted sleeping pods. Pods feature skylights to the stars, secure storage, luggage space, privacy curtains, convenient electric outlets, custom shelving, wall mounted lighting, and Egyptian cotton sheets. Cabins also have a private charcoal grill located right in front of the cabin in the meadow.
