Parrett Hotel

My room at the back was very good. Really quiet and with small balcony area. Breakfast also fine with self-serve buffet and hot food freshly cooked to order. After initial check-in, access is through a side gate and on leaving, the key is deposited without any need for reception check-out. So it has a private home feeling, coming and going exactly as wanted. The location is in a quiet village with surrounding countryside, making for a restful stay in a rural area.

The room was great. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room had a tv, coffee making facilities and toiletries. The owners were friendly and very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. Thanks, James, for a great stay!

Lovely find great value for money., super clean and lovely quiet rooms, food was proper pub grub and amazing along with breakfast. Super lovely bar and really nice meeting Yvonne, you can tell she goes out of the way to make your stay enjoyable.

Second time staying here for the second time and I couldn't say enough good things about this hotel without it sounding like a paid review. Genuinely great hosts, very clean tidy and comfortable rooms, great bar and wonderful breakfast. Will visit here many more times.

We stayed for one Saturday night as we were going to a surprise 60th birthday, of a relative living nearby.Our room was nice and clean. The breakfast was also very good.We didn’t use bar as we were out all evening.The lady who ran the place was helpful.

We had a wonderful stay - The owners mentioned they were trying to make it a welcoming place to stay for travellers with dogs - and they have done that easily. I am not sure how long the current owners have been involved, but the place seems to have been fairly recently upgraded. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom had a large walk-in pretty modern shower, which worked perfectly. with lots of hot water. The dog was provided with a bed, a towel, food bowls, poo bags and a welcoming bag of dog treats! The main picture on this site shows the rear of the property, where there is a fenced off area where dogs can be let off - again provided with dog waste bags and a waste bin. The food (included breakfast) was excellent - Full English or Vegetarian breakfast cooked to order, with so many options and personal choice that the menu is basically just the start - Porridge (milk or Water etc. etc.) Great choice of teas, preserves, honey etc. Lovely fresh baked white or brown bread, juices etc. It seemed that the owner could not do enough and was extremely friendly and helpful. It was easy to park at the front of the site, basically an old country pub / Inn, but it probably gets full at busy times! I was impressed by the effort the owners were making with the place and the attention they gave to the visitor. I wish them every success as this will be well deserved!
