Hotel Bristol

The best views of Naples Bay from the immaculately clean room with balcony. Fabulous staff and dining. This hotel made the trip heavenly with an easy walk to the marina and center of town. Staff provided directions to an easy bus ride to bagno Della Regina Giovanna where a hidden walk through olive groves brings to pathways overlooking a cove where you can take a private swim!!

This hotel has the best location, overlooking sorrento and the bay across to vesuvius. We stayed on the 7th floor. Unfortunately no balcony (this didn't seem to be an option on booking?) We had a large picture window instead.. the view looked like a painting! 10 minute walk to the main town and transport networks.. bus / ferry. The hotel is beautiful and classy, the staff made the holiday for me.. courteous, friendly and helpful. Big shout outs to Luca and his team who run a very tight ship in the restaurant. Particularly Gianluca whose loud 'ciao ciao' each morning was a great welcome. My only downside to the hotel is the evening food which let's it down badly. We had half board. It's a very limited menu option all on by order and waiter served. 1st course pasta/ soup / salad.. okay. 2nd course meat or fish but overcooked, mass catering and quite tasteless. Very bland. We were also served awful cheap ice cream / gelato (how on earth could they get this so wrong!) And... tinned peaches as a desert! Definitely not 5star quality. Luckily you have the option to swap for lunch which has a better choice and it is cooked to order. The linguine bolognese was delicious. Breakfast was standard.. nothing much to get excited about. Note... no prosecco or smoked salmon at breakfast like in other hotels of this standard which was a disappointment. However I still rate the hotel 5 out of 5 and I would book here again.. but would not recommend eating here. Hotel management... you need to improve with the food!!

Just back from a week in the amazing hotel. We received a warm welcome and a brochure with information on the hotel itself and surrounding area. Our room was on the first floor and although it didn't have a balcony, we woke each morning to the most stunning view. Our room was very spacious and tastefully decorated. Each member of staff we met were outstanding, so friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing was a problem. A special mention to Luca, Getano and all the staff in the dining room. We were half board and had the option of swapping dinner for lunch which gave us more flexibility . The menu changes daily. The food is amazing. The pool facilities were perfect. But you need to get there early on a sunny day! The hotel is spotless throughout. It's a 10 minutes walk in to sorrento, along a very busy road. But there is a footpath. Caution needed at pedestrians crossings as not all vehicles stop, particularly scooters. Sorrento is very beautiful but very busy, even in September. Thank you to everyone at the Bristol hotel for making our week in Sorrento such a memorable experience. We will be back.
