I have a terrible experience at this hotel. I was travelling with my two children and a dog I went to the hotel front desk and asked is this dog friendly hotel? He said yes. Then i told him, I want to a double bed room for one night. He asked me, how many adult and children? I told him one adult and two kids age 9 and 12. I told him i want a balcony view, i was there discuss about price of a night fee for a long while. We Findlay agreed a room 179 + tax per night with balcony. Then he gave me two cards/fobs. Then i walked my dog and my children into the assigned room, passing by the hallway, see other guests and hotel workers., we open our door and then dropped off our stuff and left to grab a dinner. By the time we come back. The front desk told me, because we have a dog, then he going to ask us to switch a room in basement. I told him,okie. But why? He said because the room on the second floor has carpet. I didn’t argue With him but followed his lead to the basement. I saw that room has only one bed. So i told him, i need a two bed room because i have two kids. He said i can stay in the room which i have that is second bedroom, but i need to pay $200 more. I told him that doesn’t make sense. I am willing to go to basement not paying $200. Because$200extra is way too much. That means i need for pay over 400 per night. This is a scam . If i go to basement room what is the fee then? He said still the same, you will still be charged for $200 extra, but you can stay on this room because the only room available right now at the basement is the single bed room I showed you. I demand to talk to a manger about this. He refused, he said he is only one can reach to manger but i cant because it is late, but according to him, the manger is still communicating with him at the moment but refuse to talk to me. I called the credit card company and left the hotel right away, returned his cards/fob, but he didn’t check in out. He refused, he said i will still be charged for the night I didn’t stay, because that is hotel policy. The next morning, i called in the hotel at 6am , i told the front guy , a new person, to check me out. Imagine, if I didn’t call back, he would charged me for multiple nights which I didn’t stay, he knew we left and wont never come back. I file a dispute for this transaction and my credit card specialist told me to call back to hotel manager, i did. There is couple hotel managers and one i spoken with kept mentioning this is hotel policy even if you didn’t stay. I told her, this wasn’t my intention not to stay, the front desk in your hotel made me leave because he said he going to charge me over $400 per night. I was travelling, finally got sometime to write down this story. Terrible experience. The case is not solved yet until today.
