The Madrona

Beautiful property, houses, furniture and art. Good lunch with good service. The pool is lovely. Nice welcome. However, the breakfast was a disaster: we arrived at 9h45 and there was hardly anything left to eat. The empty dishes were never filled again, the croissants were very few, the whole presentation was terrible. None of the tables outside had been wiped so full of stains from the evening before. Service was up and down depending on the person. A big effort needs to be made on breakfast and having clean tables to eat on.

We decided to try The Madrona for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. The grounds and buildings are undeniably beautiful that created a wonderful first impression. The magic ended the moment we walked into The Madrona. The Bartender was young and inexperienced, did not have the tools to garnish any drinks and was definitely struggling. We requested inside seating and the hostess immediately took us to the patio where it was 103 degrees. We said we reserved inside, she said ok and we had a wonderful corner table with a nice mansion feel ambiance. (Odd, we noticed, the hostess try and seat every patron outside and no one would budge) It wasn't until we were almost finished with our main entrees that the hostess placed a tent card on our table with a flower and said this is for you.... it was a Happy Anniversary card. (Odd that she didn't say Happy Anniversary) The different items we chose were just "ok" we were expecting a Michelin star experience (per the sign at the entrance) however, there wasn't a single experience that said "Oh my goodness, this is the best bite ever." Everything was under seasoned and underwhelming. One would expect that the $72.00 Wagyu NY ***** would be something to write about. But I digress. So many other fantastic upscale restaurants in Healdsburg that truly care about their patrons, quality of their dishes and provide a memorable experience. Very young crew working. They were "cordial" and the vibe was not welcoming, sincere or thoughtful. We will not be returning or recommending.

We had the most perfect weekend! Every detail was special and sophisticated. The rooms were beautiful and every detail was covered- comfiest beds, most stunning decor, heated bathroom floors. One hour flight from Los Angeles, twenty minutes to wine country... perfect weekend getaway! It was excellent!

This property is second to none and the pictures don't do it justice! From the landscaping to the cocktails to the excellent service, we loved this property. We did a 18 person event for wife's birthday and the execution was flawless. Thank you, thank you and can't wait to come back!

A glorious few days! this place is so magical - from the friendly staff to cocktails and cocktails, the amazing restaurant and the grounds.

We loved our time at the Madrona. It's right next to the heart of Healdsburg but slightly tucked away. We were able to unwind and enjoy our trip. From the very start, the staff are just wonderful. They were all so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The accomodations were out of this world and now I feel like I need to install heated floor tiles in my bathroom at home. We also enjoyed walking around the grounds and the gardens. Would absolutely recommend!

Every single room in the hotel is decorated different and done so beautifully! Dinner at the restaurant was amazing! Close to town and other vineyards.

We had a wonderful time at The Madrona. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a glass of wine and hand written notes welcoming us to the property. Intimate, cozy living spaces to enjoy the daily complimentary breakfast with coffee and fresh juice. Well appointed rooms with heated floors in the bathrooms. Very charming property and close to downtown Healdsburg and many wineries. We rode complimentary e-bikes to the farmers market on Saturday. The house car was available to drive us to / from dinners each night. Friendly staff and Rachel the concierge was critical and very helpful in helping us create a custom itinerary for our trip. Dinner on the back porch was excellent along with some martinis. I could go on and on. We’ll be back for sure!!

The Madrona was just like a dream. It's only one mile from downtown Healdsburg in the heart of wine country. Freshly renovated and specifically curated restoration of a historic residence. Every detail from the landscaping, paint colors, furniture, tableware, eclectic and well-placed art, and the genuine Staff made our stay magical and memorable. It is a truly one-of-a-kind place in the most beautiful of locations. I saw this place on Instagram, and I decided to make a trip. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Rachel, who was super lovely and welcoming. I was offered a bubbly wine as a welcome. The room was designed fully, including a fireplace, heated bathroom floor, mini bar, and air conditioning. I also had a beautiful dinner and drinks, and all the staff were super friendly. I highly recommend this place for any occasion. I went on a solo trip but felt so safe and pampered. I have been telling everyone about this place and can't wait to come back again
