Bowers House Bed and Breakfast

Bowers House B&B was an excellent choice. It's clean, secure, great location from Davis Square. The hosts, Christina & Steve, met us at breakfast. They gave us great advice for getting around Boston. We flew in, took the metro (T), bus, and even rented Blue Bikes. tnx, Frank & Diane, Erie, PA

The location was great for us and has easy access to the T. Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable. The place was clean and our rooms had their own baths. Price for Boston was very reasonable in the heart of Davis square

We stayed at Bowers House for 4 nights. It was a comfortable and reasonably priced B&B. We were greeted on our first morning by Stephen, the host. He was extremely welcoming and spent along time giving us advice about Boston - what to see, where to go, how to use the transport system and the range of restaurants/cafes in the local area. Breakfast was provided with tea, coffee, fruit juices, cereal, fruit, yoghurts, croissants, toast and cake. Food and drinks in the kitchen was available 24 hours. Bowers House is set in Somerville, a lively, vibrant area with many restaurants and bars. Davis metro station is a 5 minute walk away, giving direct access to the centre of Boston. I would definitely recommend a stay here for its comfort, facilities, value of money, location and ease of access to the Metro.

Stayed two nights in the second floor room with private bath. The owners, Steven and Christina are very welcoming and accommodating. The room was cozy and clean. So very convenient to Davis Square with myriad spots to eat, lounge and people watch. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked a room here so I could stay in the area while my husband had spinal surgery. After I booked my reservation I called the B&B to discuss my situation. I spoke with Christina, one of the owners, and explained that I may need an extra night or two but I wouldn't know for certain until the day after his surgery when the Doctor could assess his progress. She said 'ok just let me know'. We checked in Sunday, I brought my husband to the hospital on Monday and when I returned to the B&B Christina was waiting for me to ask when I would be out of the room as she gave it to someone else. We had an exchange that was unpleasant. Long story short... these people only care about money... they are NOT a warm & fuzzy, or friendly B&B... they do not care about you or have any interest in anything beside you paying them. Bed was terrible..... and I won't even get into the issues with the TV! Stay if you want, but be careful they don't give your room away! I booked through *********** and was not allowed to leave a review.

This was such a pleasant stay! I was in Boston for my son’s Graduation at Tufts university. It’s right in a prime location to Davis square, public transportation, shopping, and dining. The host were very friendly and informative. The room was pristine and the bathroom was immaculate. They provided extra towels and blankets. Shared kitchen on rhe 2nd floor with snacks and coffee and a refrigerator to store leftovers if needed. There’s a microwave there too. The only thing was the noise from outside my window, the neighbors were loud which is no fault of this Host at all. The bed was comfortable, television easy to use and internet! The host were very informative and gave HREAT suggestions on where to eat, shop, and sightsee. This was much appreciated. I was very lucky to how found this place and hopefully can return when my Son graduates next year with his Masters at Tufts!

A localização é muito boa, próxima ao metrô que em poucos minutos deixa no centro de Boston. Há uma praça perto com vários restaurantes, supermercados e farmácia. A rua é calma e o prédio é charmoso. O anfitrião é muito atencioso e prestativo. O café da manhã é básico mas conveniente. O quarto é iluminado e arejado.

Siamo stati tre notti in questo delizioso B&B nella prima periferia di Boston (quartiere di Somerville), ben collegata con la metropolitana rossa (Davis sq). La zona è molto piacevole, con ristoranti, pub, negozi e supermercati. Steven e Christina sono stati dei padroni di casa eccezionali: accoglienti, gentili, informativi. Ogni mattina a colazione siamo rimasti a chiacchierare con loro su come si vive in Italia rispetto agli Stati Uniti. Ci hanno anche fornito ottimi consigli su cosa visitare e dove andare durante il nostro soggiorno. La camera e il bagno a nostra disposizione erano ampi e pulitissimi. La cucina con frigorifero e microonde a disposizione degli ospiti h24. Assolutamente ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo visti i costi esorbitanti di Boston.
