My experience at Park Piolets was generally positive, but there are a few points worth mentioning. I booked a room for three people, and upon arrival, I noticed that while the room did include a double bed as described, the third bed was actually a sofa bed. This was an issue because the photos shown during the booking process clearly displayed a proper single bed, which was what I expected from a five-star hotel. I have been to several places around the world, and I always make sure having a proper and comfortable bed to sleep, unfortunately I did not get that in Park Piolets. I reported the issue to the reception, and Alberto handled it very professionally. He involved the manager, Nerea, who was extremely friendly, attentive, and genuinely interested in resolving the matter. Although we were moved to a different room, the solution offered—a wooden sofa with bedding—was still not what we expected. It was an improvement compared to the original sofa bed, but it didn’t fully meet our expectations, and I did not want to complain anymore, because seemed like that I was too fussy, and I am not. I just wanted a comfortable place to sleep, and that’s the reason I have chosen a 5 star hotel. On the other hand, our experience at the hotel’s Italian restaurant was flawless. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect, and the service was outstanding. A special mention goes to Ana and Gabriela, who were incredibly kind and attentive, constantly checking in to ensure we were happy and comfortable. They are a star! I wish to have a staff like them. Although the issue with the room impacted our stay, the hospitality and professionalism of the staff, as well as the quality of the restaurant, made my overall experience at Park Piolets enjoyable. I believe that with some adjustments to the details shown during booking, the hotel could achieve a higher standard of excellence, it’s not a cheap hotel, it means when we are paying for something expensive we want a return.
