This hotel was perfect. Spotless, friendly, comfortable .... there just aren't enough superlatives to describe it. From the moment we arrived, till we checked out, the staff couldn't have done enough for us. The location was perfect - on the fringes of a busy seaside villsge, with mountain views and convenient access to everywhere. No restaurant, but plenty of good places around. Breakfast was continental, and very copious! This is my favourite hotel of all time, and i must make special mention of the two Reception staff, Ciara and Lydia, who could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you both for making our short holiday even more enjoyable!

We enjoyed 4 nights here in a suite overlooking the Atlantic from our balcony. Luxurious interiors and everything you needed to chill out. Ice machine and buckets a nice touch and even PC in the residents’ lounge. Breakfasts were continental with cereals, toast, cold meats , cheeses and an ample supply of boiled eggs. In the room the tea bags were top quality - how often can you say that these days? The staff were delightful. Slept very well every night. Location handy for the restaurants in the village and shop less than 10 minutes’ walk away to replenish the mini-fridge in the room. This was the most relaxing part of our 16 night trip and we are so glad we found this jewel of a place.

This place was wonderful.Fantastic customer interaction, welcoming and natural .Our room was sparkling clean and comfortable with an excellent balcony view.Although no cooked breakfast, we thoroughly enjoyed the healthy and tasy selection that was on offer.We are looking forward to returning in the summer months.

Fabulous place. The bedrooms were spacious, very clean. Fresh towels every day, bathroom cleaned every day too. Tea and coffee available in the room. Breakfast was lovely - lots of choice, though no hot food except boiled egg. Gluten free cereals and bread on offer, with a separate toaster if you wanted toast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We were greeted on arrival and acknowledged every time we went through reception Will definitely go back.

Our first two nights in Ireland were at the Strandhill Lodge and Suites, and I can't recommend this place more. The accomadations were all very nice, excellent views, easy parking and centrally located. The young lady at the front desk had excellent advice on where to walk, what to do and see, restaurant recommendations, live music, shopping and hikes. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The views from the room were incredible.

Once again awesome, what a gem and the staff are so nice, rooms so clean, breakfast is delicious and oh yes what a super view of the Atlantic Ocean. Make sure you stay here when in the area you will not regret. I am in the area once a year, I grew up in the village and so nice to have a hotel in the area. Great job Strandhill Lodge.

A brilliant hotel. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, helping us out with things to do in the area. We booked last minute and had a really spacious room for our family. The breakfast was excellent. No hot food but a great choice of cereals and other breakfast choices. My girls loved it. I imagine the rooms with the balcony are even better but we had a lovely stay

This is a clean, well run place to stay. The room we had (with an excellent balcony view) was spacious and well equipped. The wi-fi connection is strong. The continental breakfast facility is thoughtfully set out. For other meals, you need to find other places. The best are NOT in the immediate vicinity, in our opinion…

Strandhill Beach Lodge and Suites Our suite was fantastic! It had a kitchen with small refrigerator, coffee maker, and tea pot. The suite was huge! The views of the beach were stunning! You peer out picture windows and watch the landscape change minute by minute from the comfort of your room! We watched the rain, the sun, the clouds, birds, and the waves crashing on the shore! It had a fireplace that was for decoration, not heat, that provided a nice ambiance to the room. We were able to walk to several restaurants nearby. The staff was wonderful in giving advice for adventures and plotting it out on a map for us. Several restaurants were within walking distance. Highly recommend.
