Ich erläuterte das klar, geben Sie Zimmernummer und sicherer Code, den ich verwendet habe. ”Back Office” auf dem Telefon konnte nicht durch die Empfangsbestätigung kommen, aber die Nachricht wurde gesendet und sie würden anrufen. Ich rangte zurück 1.5 Stunden später. Noch einmal ”Back Office” sagte es war berichtet worden und die Empfangsbestätigung würde schnell anrufen. 40 Minuten später rang ich wieder. Ich wollte nicht auf einen Rückruf warten und sagte, ich wollte mit einem Menschen überall im Hotel sprechen, der helfen könnte. Ich habe das Restaurant und ich weigerte mich wieder zu übertragen - sie mussten auf der Rezeption gehen, während ich auf der Linie war. Glücklicherweise hatte auch ein Kollege von mir, der noch im Hotel war, gerade zur Rezeption gefahren. Also habe ich endlich mit Adrian (?), dem Assistenten Manager gesprochen. Nichts war eigentlich getan - die Safe war nicht geprüft. Ich hatte die Entschuldigung, dass die Hausaufsicht dachte, es sei nur das Zimmer, nicht die Safe (die sie nicht haben Zugang), nichts gefunden und nicht zurück berichtet. Klar eine Lüge, da ich jedes Mal vollständige Details über das Thema gegeben hatte. Erst nachdem ich direkt mit dem Vordertafel gesprochen habe und mein Kollege alles getan hatte, wurde die Sicherheit geprüft und die Dinge gefunden. Absolut schrecklicher Service. Ich wurde gesagt, dass ”Rückbüro” tatsächlich eine ausgegebene Gesellschaft war. Schrecklich für ein angeblich 4-Sterne-Hotel.

Totally blown away by this stunning hotel in its beautiful rural setting. We stayed in the Manor house, which was gorgeous. Staff were so friendly, couldn't be more helpful & kind. Cannot recommend this beautiful hotel enough. It came as such a pleasant surprise. Will definitely be back.

We have stayed in Markree a few times now and ultimately decided to have our wedding here (which speaks volumes for how great the venue and staff are). The following review is based on our wedding day and stay but each and every time we have stayed has been a 5 star experience. We had an absolutely amazing time at Markree Castle and honestly couldn't have asked for a better experience. When we first saw the place we were absolutely blown away by the entire setting. The castle, the grounds, the rooms, everything is absolutely stunning. From the moment we enquired about the wedding nothing was too much trouble. All our questions got answered in detail and in a timely manor. On the day of the wedding there was no stress and no hassle whatsoever. The amazing team at Markree were so helpful and pleasant. They were able to coordinate and sort out the arrangements with all the different people coming and going such as the reception music, the band, the cake, etc, I had thought these were all going to be questions and things we had to organise on the morning but the team at Markree handled everything perfectly and we didnt have to think about a thing. We even had a few special requests which were accommodated for without any issue at all. There literally wasnt a single thing that didnt go to plan on the day. You have the entire castle to yourselves and everything just feels so homely, you are free to walk around and explore at your leisure, and there is plenty to explore both inside and out. Both ourselves and the guests commented on how perfect the day was. I know I have already mentioned how great the staff are but I feel each and everyone of them made our day the success it was. Every single member of the team is friendly, talkative and cheerful. There wasnt a single member of staff that let the team down. Even when we were at breakfast the next morning the atmosphere was the same, and I really think this contributes a great deal to the day so thank you once again to all the staff. Of course I need to mention a special thank you to both Deidre and Nicholas who we had spoke to on multiple occasions leading up to the wedding, but on the day it was Alex who was looking after us and we honestly cant thank her enough. She was responsible for how things ran and everything ran perfect. Alex constantly checked up that we had everything we needed and always kept us right throughout the day, we honestly couldn't have asked for anyone better. Later that evening another woman took over from Alex and I'm afraid to say I forget her name but she was fantastic as well. The food was absolutely brilliant as well. Everyone was stuffed at the end and everyone had commented on how great everything looked and tasted! I could literally talk about our wedding day for ages (and both ourselves and our guests have been!), but I'm sure you get the picture. It was a fantastic day, in a stunning setting, with excellent staff, what more do you want? The
