Checked into a room while traveling on business to work on some paperwork & to take a short nap before getting back on the road. I was at the hotel for 5 hours (from 10:40am - 3:50pm).Was charged $50 extra dollars just because I arrived in the morning & not what they consider ”check in time” (I was a walk-in, not a reservation)! I was VERY DISAPPOINTED at that. I don't understand what the point is in paying $50 extra! Other than that, the room was clean, BUT... the bathroom smelled like it had been cleaned with dirty water & urine (not happy about that!). The 5 hours that I spent at the hotel was quiet tho (only about 12 cars in the parking lot) so I guess I should be thankful that I was able to get some work done & nap for an hour before getting back on the road.

Booked two nights on points. Absolutely one of the best, fast and efficient check-in we've experienced. Hotel room very clean, kind of a unique setup but nothing crazy. Cell phone charging capable on both sides of the bed. Bed really comfortable. Loved the EXTRA luggage rack over the wall AC unit. Small frig and microwave in the room. Easy access in and out of the building with multiple key access exterior doors. The Exercise room was HUGE and had multiple machines/items to use. (Extra towels available in the wk-out room) At least twenty restaurants within two miles of the property. Hotel area and neighborhood very safe. Newer apartments/condos w/ garages surrounded by decorative iron fences border the property. Less than three minutes from freeway access. ONLY knock is the swimming pool size is small.

Not even a drop of hot water for my shower at 6:30 am. I complained only to be told that I must call and have a maintenance person inspect the problem. Um, no. I had to be on the road at 7am. I splashed myself in the shower with cold water and went about my morning. The blow dryer did not work. The beds are full sized, not queen like on the reservation page. I’m disappointed that the manager was quick to start arguing in a loud voice. Not even an apology. Just said we needed to report. Yes, I’m going to put my clothes back on after getting wet, make a phone call, and wait an hour for maintenance to fix the issue. And does maintenance even work at 6:30 am on a Sunday? Indian management sure is different. He could have just taken 10% off the night or something. I would have been happy. I think the problem was that another room used the hot water. I could hear the shower running before I took mine. Still, I have never had this problem before. Never. It should never happen. Seriously, management could have just apologized. Things break. I can understand. Tip: Wear shoes or flip flops. My white socks got black walking in the room. This is the worst review I have written in a decade. It saddens to do this.

Die Lage war bequem direkt am Autobahn (kein Lärm außer dem Gepäckwagen, der den Dumpster abholt), und fantastisch für die Mardi Gras Parade in Slidell (innerhalb der Spazierweiterung) sowie mehrere Restaurants und ein Gemüsegeschäft. Es ist eine große Ortsstelle, wenn Sie planen, Reisen nach New Orleans und Bay St. Louis zu machen. Leider wurden wir nicht begrüßt, wie ich hätte erwartet, auf dem Frontdesk während einer unserer Interaktionen. Der Herr war nicht brutal, er kam einfach nicht so willkommen oder freundlich, und zu keinem Zeitpunkt lächelte er. Wir schätzten ihn, uns ins Königsbett zu bewegen, im Gegensatz zu 2 Königinnen, als unsere Kinder nicht mit uns kamen. Einmal in unserem Zimmer war unsere unmittelbare Sorge der Geruch und der Fett/Schleifboden (und ich meine überall!). Es war ein schlechter erste Eindruck, zumindest zu sagen. Wir haben uns aber nicht in der Lage versetzt, das Zimmer zu wechseln. Wir sind wieder in den Wagen gefahren (nach 12 Stunden Fahrt) und gingen aus, um Febrieze und Hausslips zu kaufen (Fotos wurden von uns unter den Slips gemacht). Am nächsten Morgen sahen wir den Hausaufsichtsbeamten auf unserem Weg raus, der sich angenehm und unsere Bedenken gehörte. Als es passierte, trug sie einen Clipboard (Ich glaube) und erklärte, sie hatte unsere Nachricht von der vorigen Nacht erhalten und war auf ihrem Weg ins Zimmer. Sie bot auch an, uns in ein anderes Zimmer zu bewegen. Ich dachte, wenn das so wäre, wie die Hausaufbewahrung unser Zimmer sauber gemacht, wie sie alle Zimmer sauber gemacht haben, so haben wir beschlossen, aufzuhören und ihnen die Möglichkeit zu geben, das Zimmer richtig zu reinigen. Nach unserer Rückkehr fanden wir das Zimmer sehr gut gereinigt worden. Wir haben nie den freien Toilettensitz für jemanden erwähnt (sollte offensichtlich gewesen sein, als es zuletzt gereinigt wurde). Neben dem Geruch und dem Boden gab es ein langes schwarzes Haar im Tub, das mich später fragt, ob das Zimmer seit der letzten Kunden ausgeprüft war wirklich gereinigt worden. :/ Das Bett war sehr hart (das könnte natürlich eine persönliche Präferenz sein) und die Kissen waren schrecklich flach, so dass ich empfehle, ein paar von zu Hause zu bringen. Glücklicherweise hatten wir den Vorsatz, einen kleinen Kaffeehersteller zu bringen, da man nicht im Zimmer geliefert wurde (wohl Standard, um einen dieser Tage zu erhalten). Als ehemaliger Bewohner von Slidell bin ich immer traurig, zu verlassen, aber ich werde zugeben, ich wartete auf die Rückkehr in die saubere Umgebung und den Komfort zu Hause. Wir blieben insgesamt 4 Nächte und eines der Tage, an denen wir da waren, öffnete der Hausmeister gerade die Tür und ging ohne Schlag in, bevor ich sogar für den Morgen geklebt wurde. Ich stand ziemlich nahe der Tür und bin mir sicher, es gab keinen Knock, so natürlich erschreckte mich, als die Tür direkt aus irgendwo geöffnet, was mich dazu veranlasste, zu schreien ”aus!!”, da vermutete man, dass jemand nur versuchte, in unser Zimmer zu kommen.
