Dieses Hotel ist müde. Die Funktionsräume waren schön, aber überall ist das Datum. Es ist auch ziemlich kalt, nicht sicher, ob es ein Problem mit der Heizung gab, aber es gab ein kleines Öl-Füll-Radiator in einem der großen Zimmer. Das war wie versucht, den Ozean mit einer heißen Wasserflasche zu heißen! Das Essen war ok, nicht sehr warm und ganz einfach. Getränkepreise waren im Allgemeinen vernünftig. Stellen Sie sicher, dass Sie nicht in den Zimmern oben der Einfahrt sind, da diese doppelt wie das Rauchenbereich, es war wirklich laut bis 1:00 Uhr und die Rezeption und Treppe schmeckt Rauch. Alles war sauber und die Mitarbeiter waren alles schön.

Arrived at lunch time and told our rooms were ready so we didn’t have to wait until 3 pm which is normal check in time . Went to the restaurant and had lunch which was lovely and would satisfy even the biggest appetites I’m sure. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful even though they were extremely busy and the had a funeral wake there as well as their lunchtime patrons. Our rooms were bijou but perfectly adequate for one night as had everything you needed including an iron and ironing board also hairdryers were available at reception. The shower room while small was functional and a plentiful supply of hot water . We had dinner in the restaurant as we had travelled up from Wales and didn’t want to drive anywhere else to eat. We weren’t disappointed the menu was varied and all home cooked . Staff again friendly and helpful so it was enjoyed by all. We retired to bed after a few drinks and the bed was so comfortable and warm . The breakfast which is also included in the price of the room was excellent, buffet style and plenty for everyone. All in all a great stop over at a very reasonable price. Their biggest asset is their staff who were all extremely pleasent and helpful with no requests being too much trouble for them . Would definitely recommend The Old Stone Trough to anyone if you’re looking for a fair priced stay with great food and comfy beds

Es war ein geräumiges Zimmer, schöne und komfortable Matratze. Obwohl es neben der Hauptstraße ist, war es ruhig in der Nacht. Schöner Blick nach hinten, nennen sie es Flussblick. Es ist ein Kanal, wo es viele Ducken, Geiten und Schwänze auf und nach oben flohen. Ein guter Ort zu bleiben.

This is an interesting hotel quite close to Skipton. The ground floor at the front - main road is on the 1st floor and at the back it's the basement. Staircases are quite narrow and, until you get used to them, a bit of a rabbit warren. The automatic check in / door security system are based on the last 6 letters of your mobile followed by the *. I was there three nights and only got it completely right on the last morning. My room was in the attic space but comfortable enough if you remembered to duck round the sloping ceiling. The breakfast was the highlight of my stay as Karen, the only human I encountered during my visit (except other guests), always had a lovely welcome and was ready to take your orders. Tea, coffee, milk, juices, cereals and fruit were self-service but a selection of cooked breakfasts are available. Interesting, boutique ish hotel with a large free car park behind.

We enjoyed a four night deal for bed, breakfast and evening dinner which was great value. The hotel is in a great location across from the railway station and on the Leeds/Liverpool canal. Easy walk (5 minutes) into town. Good size car park. We had a good sized double room on the first floor overlooking the patio/beer garden. Very comfortable bed. Tea/coffee making facilities. Rhubarb restaurant was lovely and the food was excellent. Nice bar area with a good range of cocktails.
