Skiathos Argento

We came for a short break for my husbands 50th, booked last minute for a great price and we weren't expecting a lot but we were so pleasantly surprised. The area was still quiet as it was the beginning of the season but there were a lot of shops and restaurants. The hotel is up a little lane just up from the main road, opposite bus stop 16. The room was beautiful, on the top floor with a fantastic green view, with the sea in the distance. It had everything we needed, a huge comfortable bed, little kitchen with fridge, kettle, microwave and mini stove, nice clean bathroom with decent shower and toiletries, the room even had robes, slippers, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. Towels changed every day. The balcony had comfortable furniture, table with table cloth. The surrounding land is full of animals. A bunch of goats, chickens, a couple of Cockerels to give you a wake up call and plenty of well looked after cats. And a horse. The hotel has a lovely pool area with comfortable sunbeds and a bar, and the attached restaurant sells lovely food. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beautiful beach and another 5 minutes down the road to more fabulous restaurants. A few supermarkets on the way. We didn't check the star rating before we went but when we paid the room tax at the end of our stay we were surprised the hotel is only 2 star, it's just lovely, actually nicer than 4 star hotels we have stayed in. We would return, we don't generally return to the same place, but on this occasion we would. Out stay just wasn't long enough and I actually quite miss it.

Love small and friendly and this ticks all of the boxes .Very friendly owners who work hard to keep the place in immaculate condition and offer great cocktails. Rooms basic but typically Greek and we did not need ac but possibly in hotter months .Views are stunning across a valley and a short walk to bus stop 15 to take you around the island for 2 euros.Bus can be standing room only at certain times but not a major problem .Did a Mamma Mia trip to the church but for anyone with a disability it's going to be a challenge just getting off the boat and climbing the steps to the road before even trying the church steps.All in all a great holiday

We just returned yesterday from Xanthi. Thank you Martina and Bill for being such friendly and attentive hosts. The apartments are spotless , the pool bar lovely. Our stay reminded us of Greece many years ago, a real bonus. We would return again in a heartbeat.

A big thanks to Bill & Martina for lovely chilled week.. a great clean little room with a cracking view over the valley watching the buzzards lazily circling in the sky & the sheep coming down from the hill..from room ten's balcony we could even see down to Kolios Bay! Top cocktails every night and a smashing breakfast for two on our last morning sorted us for the trip back home! We'd love to come back same time next year but it's already booked up🥺! Kolios is one of our favourite areas to stay in and the Xanthi is best placed for it.. easily walkable to tavernas, you'll be spoilt for choice on where to eat, you can try a different place every night..our favourites were Jimmy's and the Pork&Roll (the loo is nuts🤣) Also, Kolios & Agia Paraskevi beaches are 10-15 min walk. Once again, thanks for a great stay!.. can't wait to come back soon ❤️ Dave & Sharon J

We have recently returned from holiday, staying at the fantastic Xanthi Studios. Bill, Martina and Katerina are so welcoming, friendly, helpful, lovely people. The Studios/pool bar are the perfect choice, (regularly cleaned/changing of bedding and towels) close to everything you need, excellent Tavernas, Restaurants & Supermarkets. Two fantastic Beaches and Bus Stop 15, taking you all over the Island. Xanthi also has parking should you hire a vehicle. Bill & Martina offer great food (omelette very yummy) variety of drinks including a great choice of Cocktails. We had such a great time can't wait to go back! ❤️xx

This is a lovely place to stay for so many reasons. Martina and Bill have thought of everything to make this a place you would choose to stay in again and a place to recommend to others. Stunning views from a decent sized balcony too. Rooms are spotlessly clean and well looked after. The shower was great! Swimming pool is fab with enough sunbeds for every guest. The bar / restaurant area is so lovely as is the choice of great food. Smashing cocktails too! Spectacular views of the stunning mountainside. Thanks Martina and Bill.
