Hotel El Xalet

Delightful hotel close to excellent restaurants and beautiful beaches. Train and bus stop very convenient too. We took the train to Barcelona one day- about 40 minute trip & caught the bus from airport to Sitges, all very easy and stress less. We stayed in the suite which had a lovely terrace, separate sitting room and 2 large comfortable beds. Excellent shower. Very clean and interesting decor. Absolutely loved it- staff exceptionally friendly and helpful too. Definitely recommend staying here.

A very well located comfortable quirky hotel. A great place to stay and so very helpful. I would certainly recommend to friends and stay again. Genuine hospitality. Our room was spacious very clean and well furnished with a modern en suite.

The hotel is located in a great spot, about 6 minutes walk to the seafront, a minute to a great supermarket and less than 5 minutes from the bus stop for the direct bus (to/from the airport) and also the train station. There are loads of restaurants and bars within minutes of the hotel too. We booked room 103 which is a fabulous suite, huge and with a wrap around balcony. The hotel is an amazing art nouveau building with amazing features. The room was kept well by the cleaners and beds were changed every few days. Coffee and a coffee machine was provided as was a full size fridge. The breakfast was continental and more than adequate with delicious jugs of freshly squeezed juice, lovely coffee and an array of breads, cakes, cheese, ham and salads. The pool is lovely although in the shade for part of the day, its a shame that the pool was being cleaned for the entire duration of our stay but was still usable. There is a bar that opens from 8pm each night coinciding with the restaurant which is set up around the pool in summer months. The food was exceptional but 3 courses only so not ideal if, like us one or two courses are preferred. Because the pool was in shade and there was no daytime bar the hotel lacked atmosphere. Staff were all very accommodating. Overall it was a lovely place to stay and I would recommend it - especially for a long weekend.

Fabulous building and very welcoming staff. Great location and our room was huge with a wrap round balcony. The room makes the hotel. Breakfast is poor though and the barest of minimum provided-no scrambled eggs etc.. The very basics provided and you have to ask for a spoon to eat the cereal, ask for milk for the cereal, ask for more coffee, ask for sugar, ask for everything so it becomes a bit tiresome. Everything should be provided. The boiled eggs are very undercooked and inedible. I’d stay again but like this stay, I wouldn’t have the breakfast.

This gorgeous old villa is just two minutes’ walk across the road from the train station and is absolutely delightful. The rooms are all different, and very spacious and comfortable. Meanwhile, the décor of the hotel is pure vintage character, with beautiful painted ceilings and many antique treasures, from its wooden and decorated tile reception desk to stunning grandfather clock, to old piano tucked neatly under the intriguing staircase. There is a lovely garden and pool area, which is a relaxing oasis in which to enjoy drinks or meals, and the brilliant location is a very easy ten-minute walk from the seafront. The wonderful people who run this gem are so friendly and helpful, and we very much enjoyed chatting to them about the history of the place. In short, El Xalet simply oozes old-style warmth and charm and in my opinion is perfect for couples - we would definitely stay here again in the future.

We went to sitges and stayed at El Xalet and i can say it was a good move to booked there, clean room very good food pool at hand and the staff are friendly and helpful, my only problem was that my room was next to the road but in a popular place and area as sitges it’s expected. Enjoy my stay and will be back again.
