Dies ist eine ziemlich elegante Pousada, die von der Pestana Hotelkette verwaltet wird. Einchecken an der Rezeption war schmerzlos und schnell. Das Personal war im Allgemeinen angenehmen und freundlich. Unser Schlafzimmer war im Erdgeschoss mit Blick auf den Park. Wir mussten die Fenster für Sicherheit geschlossen und die Gürtel für Privatsphäre geschlossen halten. Das Schlafzimmer war angenehmen eingerichtet und in guter Zustand. Das Bett war Königsgröße und sehr komfortabel. Es gab viel Platz für Kleidung Die Größe des Zimmers verließ sehr wenig Platz, um angemessen zu lagern Koffer. Das Zimmer war mit einem Kühlschrank, aber keine Minibar ausgestattet. Es gab auch ein Fernsehen, das soweit ich sagen konnte nur portugiesische Programme hatte. Ich konnte keine englischen Sprachprogramme finden. Das war nicht wirklich ein Problem, weil ich für eine begrenzte Zeit im Hotel war und nicht wollte TV zu sehen. Das Badezimmer war in der Suite mit Bad und Dusche. Das Bad war nutzlos, weil es keine Bademantel hatte und das Hotelpersonal konnte kein Bademantel für mich finden. Es gab viele Teppich warmes Wasser für Waschbecken. Aber Sie müssen geduld haben, warmes Wasser zu haben. Warm Wasser dauerte ein Leben, bevor es unser Zimmer erreichte Unser Schlafzimmer muss etwas von der Kessel entfernt gewesen sein, weil andere Gäste nicht das gleiche Problem erlitten. Vieles Wasser wurde verschwunden, während sie auf das heiße Wasser warten. Dies war nicht ein guter Weg zu “Save the Planet” wie von einem Zeichen / Anzeige auf der Anzeige im Badezimmer vom Hotelmanagement. Der Plug in der Waschbecken handarbeitete nicht richtig. Das Hotel ist ein bisschen zerbrechlich, wie Sie sich vorstellen werden, was in diesem Hotel waschen zu haben. Das Buffet Frühstück hatte viele zu wählen mit einer Auswahl an warmen und kalten Gerichten. Die Lounge-Bar ist komfortabel und angenehmen eingerichtet. Neben dem Fehlen von Badeanhängern ist das Hotel in guter Lage und dekorativer Ordnung.

The hotel is very nice and new looking. Very clean. Andre is so helpful at the front desk as are all of the staff. Loved it here. But for a long stay I would want more amenities but for the price and 2 nights, it was perfect. Lidl Grocery store across the street.

Room is good, breakfast is okay, nice area and service was really good thanks to Frederico and Marco for always being there and very helpful. The area is next to a really great park and if you work through you'll will find the Oeiras shopping mall. Lots of shops and eating opportunities

Decent place to stay if you have a car. Several miles from Sintra historic center area, but we left early enough to get a free spot in a neighborhood a few blocks from the National Palace, so that helps. Room was typical BASIC Ibis. Not enough pillows (just ONE per person); towels (again, only ONE total, per person, or trash cans (again, ONE TINY one). No fridge!! No coffee maker. NO ICE machine available for public use in the entire hotel! Very tricky parking spaces. They have about 15-20, which are free, on surface lot, but need to pay if park in structure below...only 3 euros, but they should just make it free. The bar/restaurant area was decent and convenient; fair prices for quick dinner. Breakfast 8.50 euros, but very limited continental breakfast only; not hot items... We chose to eat elsewhere and was less expensive. Not many places to eat in immediate vicinity. There is a very convenient Lidl and Auchan (large grocery/gen merch store) to stock up on supplies before heading out. Internet wasn't working our first night, but was ok the next night. In summary, inexpensive, basic, clean room for the night, but definitely no friils. Would recommend staying here, as long as aware of basic/limited amenities

Myself and my 4 year old son stayed here for a weekend, and it was fantastic! We received excellent communication from the front desk via email as we arrived after check in, which meant we could get straight up to our room upon arrival. It's in a great location, and has modern, clean, fresh décor and super friendly staff. The bed was comfortable, bathroom spacious and A/C. There was plenty of extra bedding in the cupboards too which meant you could change the sheet for a duvet if the weather suddenly changed. The breakfast was a good price, and great continental selection; my son ate everything in sight, and they even went above and beyond to make him pancakes as a treat! There was an honesty bar available throughout the day too for any quick snacks or drinks which was reasonably priced. There's a local grocery shop, pharmacy, café and restaurants all 5mins walk away too which is so useful when travelling with children. Sintra itself was beautiful, my son loved the views, visiting Quinta da Regaleira and spotting the 'castles!' on top of the hills. Do be aware Sintra has a micro climate so the weather can be breezy and cooler than expected! Thank you to all the staff and friendly guests for making us feel so at home, and 100% recommend this lovely hotel.

My wife and I stayed for three nights at the start of March and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great: easy to find and a 3-minute walk from the main square in the historic centre but nonetheless in a very quiet area. We booked the ‘suite with private terrace and balcony’ which was huge and exactly as pictured on the website, clean and bright with lovely large windows and patio doors. Because the house sits on a hill, the room was at ground level at the front but at first floor level at the rear and it was reassuring that, I assume for security reasons, the windows accessible from the street could not be opened. The room had a large TV with Netflix available. Water pressure in the bathroom was very good and lovely soap, shampoo and conditioner were provided. (The only watch out is the water pressure can easily blow out the shower curtain, so water ends up on the bathroom floor. Still, you only make that mistake once.) The breakfast was buffet style and taken in the kitchen or the room next to it and it does feel like you’re in a family house. The food was lovely, with hot scrambled eggs, beans and sausages, along with coffee, juice, toast and pastries, cereals etc. available. They also make snacks, wine and beer available in the kitchen overnight and operate this on an honesty-book basis. This is really convenient if you’re really tired after a day of sightseeing. The host Karen was really welcoming, friendly and helpful, as was her assistant Bianca (who we saw most of as she seemed to be receptionist, housekeeper, chef, waitress etc, all rolled into one!) This is a guest house rather than a hotel so bear that in mind for the level of services - there’s no 24 reception for example. However Karen is accessible by WhatsApp and she replied quickly when we had a question about car parking on Saturday evening. We arrived by train (less than an hour from central Lisbon and dirt cheap - about €3) and the walk from the station is easy along pleasant roads and takes about 15 minutes. We got a hire car part way through our stay and used the car parking token (payable) from the guest house for parking in the Old Town. Even though visiting in low season, we were very lucky to find a space so plan carefully if you are intending to drive to the historic centre of Sintra. It’s also worth noting that Sintra has its own microclimate with relatively high humidity which means it can feel quite damp and there is often a lot of cloud and mist, even in summer. (Anyone with a respiratory condition might want to do some research.) Given the time of year we visited, this meant our room felt quite cold whenever we arrived but the air con unit was effective and warmed it up very quickly. Also, even though there is modern double glazing, there can still be some condensation on the windows in the morning so don’t leave things on the windowsill overnight as they could get damp. We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel. It is well located in Sintra and presents very nicely (modern lobby decor, good views, large rooms), however we found the service at this hotel inadequate in the following respects: 1. Parking. We came to Sintra in a hire car. I chose this hotel because the booking.com website said that private parking was possible on site at a cost that we were willing to pay. I emailed the hotel before our arrival to arrange for parking but they never replied to my email. When we arrived there was no parking anywhere near the hotel so we parked a long distance away. When we reached the hotel I asked about on site parking and was told that none was available due to a private event being held at the hotel which was scheduled to finish by 8pm that evening. The woman at reception was very haughty and unhelpful, when I asked whether we could get a parking spot after 8pm she just dismissed my request. We ended up leaving our hire car parked a fair way away which was OK for us as we are used to hiking long distances uphill but if you have any mobility issues or are with young children this situation would be a nightmare. 2. On our third day our bath towels were not changed until I specifically asked at reception at about 5pm. Apparently they had had a problem in the laundry. When bath towels were finally delivered they were damp. 3. The toilet in our room took an unusually long time to refill after flushing. 4. The holders for the bath wash, shampoo and conditioner in the shower were very flimsy, one of them fell off as soon as I applied for some soap. If I were to revisit Sintra I would look for somewhere else to stay.

Ich habe es besucht, weil es ein historisches Hotel war, aber es war klassisch und zufriedenstellend in allen Teilen. Es war eine wirklich gute Erfahrung, weil der Manager an der Rezeption professionell war und jeder elegant war, sowie das Frühstück, das Abendessen und empfohlenen Wein.

Das Hotel ist sehr hübsch, die Zimmer sind geräumig (mit Balkon) und es gibt einen Pool. Das Frühstück ist gut, das Personal sehr, sehr freundlich. Die Lobby lädt zum Verweilen ein, hell, groß und nett eingerichtet. Das Meer ist ca. 5 Minuten entfernt, am Praia de Tamariz ist man in ca. 10 Minuten. Cascais erreicht man in ca. 15 Minuten über die Strandpromenade. In einer Minute Fußweg befindet sich eine Bushaltestelle, von der aus man nach Sintra fahren kann. Der Bahnhof ist 10 Minuten entfernt, die Fahrt nach Lissabon dauert ungefähr 40 Minuten. Estoril ist etwas hügelig und das Hotel liegt oberhalb, also unbedingt bequemes Schuhwerk einpacken Ich würde es wieder buchen.

The room was nice and tidy, the staff was very lovely and helpful, breakfast was good and the sourroundings very beatiful (i had been to sintra and the cost). I was there by car and found it usefull, i don't know how good the bus connections are...
