I had a bit of trepidation after reading some of the reviews on here, but I needn't have worried. We needed to stay a night in Bexley as we were attending a party. The bigger hotels were a bit of a way out of the centre, and this one was ideal for the railway station. Anyway, it's a quirky little place and was clearly once a pub, so it's a listed building with lots of funny little architectural quirks. The owner met us when we arrived and sorted out our keys and gave us information about local eateries where they offer discount for guests. The lobby was clean and welcoming. Our room was super clean and well appointed. Two thin pillows and two thick pillows which really pleased us as we have very different pillow needs! A king size bed (very comfortable), tea and coffee facilities, toiletries and a lovely hot shower. We were overlooking the High Street, but as we didn't get back until 2am, we certainly weren't bothered by any noise, and there was no noise on the Sunday morning when we woke up. Check out was simple and we dropped our keys in the box before leaving. We have recommended this hotel to friends who may need to stay in the area, and we will certainly use it again.

Obwohl wir nicht selbst behindert waren, wurden wir ein behindertes Zimmer gegeben, das offensichtlich gerade renoviert war. Das Zimmer war ausgezeichnet, geräumig und gut eingerichtet. Wir haben nie in einem so großen Bett geschlafen - es war größer als es lange war!

Everything was as expected the breakfast was brilliant, staff were very friendly and helpful and hotel was very clean. Only negative was the hotel is very dated and in need of makeover.

I really liked Hotel Love and Peace. It's very clean, very neat, very calm. The service staff is very good at keeping clean, very hospitable and very attentive to their visitors. This Hotel will be loved by all those who decided to take a break. This place can really name: Love In Peace.

Die Zimmer sind toll; Mikrowelle, Toaster, Geschirrspühler, Kaffemaschine ... wirklich alles da. Das Frühstücksbuffet fanden wir für 15 Pfund pro Person etwas dürftig (trotz den paar Sachen, die man aus der Küche bestellen konnte). Am Abreisetag wollte meine 12jährige Tochter ebenfalls ein Eiergericht aus der Küche haben. Man hat mir dann erklärt, dass dies nur bei Erwachsenen in den 15 Pfund inbegriffen ist, aber nicht bei Kindern, die 9 Pfund bezahlen. Wir haben's dann auch für meine Tochter bekommen ... war aber eine unnötige Diskussion. (Foto davon anbei) Meine Tochter hat am ersten 1 Stück Toas mit Nutella gegessen und eine heisse Schokolade getrunken ... hat also sicher das Budget nicht überstrapaziert.

Das Hotel liegt im Süden Londons, einem neuen Entwicklungsgebiet. Nehmen Sie vom Londoner Hauptbahnhof aus einen Zug in dieses neue südliche Gebiet und gehen Sie dann etwa 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Es gibt viele Hotels in der Nähe. Wenn Sie wissen, wie man Bahntickets kauft und Züge nimmt, ist dieser Ort immer noch in Ordnung. Der Preis ist erschwinglich und die Einrichtungen sind relativ neu. Der Service an der Rezeption ist sehr enthusiastisch. Ich habe das Frühstücksbuffet nicht ausprobiert. Schaut OK aus. Ich habe einmal in einem nahegelegenen chinesischen Restaurant gegessen und war angenehm überrascht, authentischen taiwanesischen geschmorten Schweinefleischreis zu haben. Es gibt auch viele andere Restaurants. Man hat den Eindruck, dass es in dieser Gegend mehr Arbeiter gibt und die Atmosphäre eine andere ist als im Großraum London. Es ist aber auch schön, dieses neue Gebiet zu sehen, ein Erlebnis.

We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we

Bei der Ankunft gab es eine neue Mädchen auf der Rezeption (schwarze Mädchen) und sie sagte mir, dass das Zimmer, das ich reserviert habe, nur Zimmer war und ich wusste, dass ich eine B&B-Preis reserviert habe. Obwohl sie sehr angenehm war, sagte sie, sie sei neu und musste mit einem erfahreneren Empfangsmitglied überprüfen. Eine weiße Dame kam in die Rezeption und sagte mir, dass das neue Mädchen nicht wusste, wie die Kontrolle in die Zimmerpreise aufgenommen wurde und begann, ihr zu zeigen - wie sie das zu prüfen, während ich dort war. Diese weiße Dame (hat einen ausländischen Akzent) war mir ziemlich plötzlich und ich dachte mir, vielleicht, wenn Sie das neue Mädchen besser trainiert, würde sie diese Details überprüfen. Das neue Mädchen war entschuldigend, ich sagte ihr, es ist nicht dein Schuld, Sie müssen besser in Ihre Rolle geschult werden. Sie war ein schönes junges Mädchen und sehr freundlich und versuchte, so viel wie sie konnte zu helfen. Die Kehle in meinem Zimmer funktionierte nicht, aber sie wurde schnell ersetzt. Ich ging um etwas Milch aus dem Trolley zu holen und der Haushalter (Spanisch) schrie auf mich - Sie dürfen die Trolle nicht berühren und wenn Sie etwas brauchen, kontaktieren Sie bitte Rezeption, ich sagte, ich werde es dann zurücklassen und sie sagte - Nein, es ist OK! . Das Frühstück war nett, außer den Pilzen, die sie zu hart und schwer zu essen hatten. Die Mitarbeiter bewegen sich oftmals Trolls und sprechen miteinander, wenn die Gäste umgeben sind und sie den Gastlift als Servicelift verwenden. Sie kamen in der Straße, als ich versuchte, aus dem Hotel zu kommen, sie entschuldigten sich für meinen Weg. Die meisten Mitarbeiter waren freundlich, Zimmer müssen aktualisiert werden. Am letzten Tag hatte ich etwas Tee zum Frühstück im Essensbereich und als ich zurückkam, war ein Mitarbeiter (Kleine indische Lady) mein Essen wegreinigen und ich hatte nur eine Tasse Tee gekauft und hatte mein Frühstück nicht beendet, sagte ich ihr, ich bin Ich war noch immer auf dem Tisch, aber sie hat es nie bemerkt und war es wegzuräumen. Sie sprühen und sauber leere Tische sehr nahe Ihnen, wenn Sie Ihr Frühstück essen, das frustriert, da der Geruch der Reinigungsflüssigkeit ist ziemlich stark, Es war mein erstes Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel, Ich habe in der Vergangenheit dort Kaffee/Tee gehabt, aber nie zuvor geblieben. Ich würde bewerten, ist als ein 3-Sterne-Hotel und nicht ein 4-Sterne-Hotel.
